Jarius Wright caught 4-of-5 targets for 50 yards Week 11 against the Packers.
Wright made an important grab on third down the play before Adrian Peterson fumbled, but he was not used much before the Vikings entered hurry-up mode late in the game. Wright has not seen more than six targets in any game this season and is averaging just over three a game. He does not need to be owned. Nov 22 - 8:27 PM

Vikings WR Jarius Wright (concussion) has resumed practicing in full.

Wright just popped up on the injury report Wednesday, but apparently won't miss any time with his head injury. With Stefon Diggs breaking out, Wright isn't a realistic WR5 in PPR leagues.
Oct 29 - 6:26 PM

Jarius Wright (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday.

If Wright can't go against the Bears, rookie Stefon Diggs could get some more slot action in Week 8, with Mike Wallace and Charles Johnson outside.
Oct 28 - 8:16 PM

Jarius Wright is in the league's concussion protocol.

Wright was limited to side work Wednesday. He's now in a race to get cleared for Week 8. Charles Johnson will see a bigger role in three-wide sets if Wright misses time.
Oct 28 - 4:37 PM

Jarius Wright caught 2-of-3 targets for 69 yards in the Vikings' Week 6 win over Kansas City.

Stefon Diggs started in place of Charles Johnson, with Wright remaining in the slot. Wright got most of his yards on a 52-yard catch. With Diggs outplaying him, Wright could be demoted to four-wide sets if Johnson returns next week.
Oct 18 - 5:04 PM

Jarius Wright (hand) is probable for Week 6 against the Chiefs.

Wright played just one snap despite being active Week 4. He should be close to fully healthy coming of Minnesota's bye. Wright will have a bigger role if Charles Johnson (questionable, ribs) doesn't play this week.
Oct 16 - 5:27 PM

Jarius Wright (hand) wasn't targeted in Minnesota's Week 4 loss to the Broncos.

Wright's "active" status was purely ceremonial. The slot "threat" has five catches for 72 yards through four games. He's off the radar in PPR leagues.
Oct 4 - 8:41 PM

Vikings WR Jarius Wright (hand) is active for Week 4 against the Broncos.

Charles Johnson is sitting, creating a theoretical increase in targets for Wright, but it should scarcely matter against the Broncos' elite defense. Joining Johnson on the sidelines are S Andrew Sendejo, CB Jabari Price, DE Justin Trattou, QB Taylor Heinicke, LB Edmond Robinson and TE Chase Ford.
Oct 4 - 3:10 PM

Vikings WR Jarius Wright (questionable, hand) expects to be a game-time decision Sunday at Denver.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that Wright would miss 1-2 weeks, but Wright participated in Friday's practice on a "limited" basis, and has an outside shot to play. With Charles Johnson (ribs) looking doubtful at best, Wright would line up as a starter opposite Mike Wallace.
Oct 2 - 2:44 PM

Jarius Wright (hand) is expected to miss 1-2 weeks.

The Vikings could be down both Wright and Charles Johnson (ribs) this week. Wright's injury will allow Cordarrelle Patterson to see an expanded role.
Sep 30 - 4:35 PM

Vikings signed WR Jarius Wright to a four-year, $14.8 million extension through 2019.

The extension includes $7 million guaranteed. Wright is locked in as the Vikings' slot receiver this year, and he could take over on the outside once Mike Wallace leaves. With Charles Johnson and 25-year-old Kyle Rudolph, Wright helps form a young pass-catching nucleus around Teddy Bridgewater.
Sep 10 - 12:36 PM

Jarius Wright caught his lone target for seven yards in Saturday's preseason game.

The Vikings' slot man finishes the summer with six grabs for 76 yards. Wright has some WR4/5 appeal in PPR leagues.
Aug 29 - 10:31 PM

Jarius Wright had two catches for 50 yards in the Vikings second preseason game.

Wright continued to play ahead of Cordarrelle Patterson in three-wide sets. His 24-yard catch in the first quarter helped set up a Zach Line touchdown. Wright has four catches for 68 yards through two preseason games.
Aug 15 - 9:05 PM

Jarius Wright is penned in as the Vikings' slot receiver.

Charles Johnson and Mike Wallace will monopolize outside snaps, leaving Wright to move inside as Greg Jennings' replacement. That's no problem for the 5'10/190 Wright, who caught eight passes for 130 yards on 85 routes run out of the slot last year. He's slippery and quick after the catch.
Jul 30 - 7:40 AM

OC Norv Turner suggests Jairus Wright could play a bigger role in the Vikings' offense following Greg Jennings' release.

Turner sees Wright as his go-to slot receiver. Wright saw 62 targets last season, a number that is sure to rise without Jennings. Turner also mentioned Adam Thielen (eight catches last season) as someone to watch for in the slot. Newcomer Mike Wallace will be Teddy Bridgewater's primary deep target.
