Jarius Wright caught all four of his targets for 32 yards Week 5 against the Texans.
With Stefon Diggs sidelined, Wright was active and filled in as the slot receiver. He played well and made a few big catches including a third-down conversion in the first half, but he will fade back into obscurity once Diggs returns after the bye. Oct 9 - 5:18 PM

Date:

Jarius Wright is inactive for Week 2 against the Packers.

It's Wright's second straight game as a healthy scratch. Vikings LT Matt Kalil is active and will start. The rest of Minnesota's inactives are DT Sharrif Floyd, CB Xavier Rhodes, TE MyCole Pruitt, LB Kentrell Brothers, OG Nick Easton, and LB Edmond Robinson.

ESPN's Ben Goessling reports the Vikings are attempting to trade WR Jarius Wright.

Wright missed a large chunk of camp with a hamstring injury, but he was able to return for the final two preseason games. While it is good he was able to get back on the field, it was not a great sign for his roster chances he was asked to play 39 snaps in the final preseason game. Even if he sticks around, Wright is clearly behind Adam Thielen on the depth chart. Wright signed a five-year, $15.46 million contract last September.

Jarius Wright (calf, lower leg) hasn't practiced since August 6.

Coach Mike Zimmer isn't revealing the nature of Wright's injury, but Wright admitted he's not wearing the sleeve on his lower left leg as a fashion statement, suggesting it's a calf issue. Wright is expected to lock down the slot job this season. Adam Thielen has been working there the past 10 days.
Aug 16 - 7:38 PM

Jarius Wright caught 1-of-3 targets for nine yards in the Vikings' Wild Card loss to the Seahawks.

The Vikings' slot receiver caught 34 passes for 442 yards in his fourth NFL campaign. Even if Mike Wallace is released, Wright's numbers are unlikely to spike for 2016. Stefon Diggs is a more natural play-maker. Wright is a role player.
Jan 10 - 4:51 PM

Jarius Wright caught 2-of-3 targets for 21 yards in Sunday night's Week 17 win over the Packers.

Wright had a red-zone target in the first half, but couldn’t come down with it. He managed 34 catches and 442 yards in the regular season, but failed to score a touchdown. Minnesota takes on Seattle in next week's Wild Card Round.
Jan 4 - 1:10 AM

Jarius Wright caught three passes for 57 yards in Week 16 against the Giants.

With Minnesota going run-heavy, Wright led the Vikings in receiving. He has 140 yards over his last three games. Wright isn’t more than a WR5 for Week 17.

Jarius Wright caught all three of his targets for 32 yards in the Vikings' Week 15 win over the Bears.

Standard day at the office for the Vikings' slot receiver.

Jarius Wright caught 5-of-6 targets for 51 yards in Minnesota's Week 14 loss to the Cardinals, but also lost a fumble.

The catches were Wright's most of the season, but his fumble was soft. Wright let the ball get punched out from behind at the Cardinals' 23-yard line, costing the Vikings at least three points. Wright has been sporadically involved this season, but not enough to get on the PPR radar.

Jarius Wright caught 4-of-5 targets for 50 yards Week 11 against the Packers.

Wright made an important grab on third down the play before Adrian Peterson fumbled, but he was not used much before the Vikings entered hurry-up mode late in the game. Wright has not seen more than six targets in any game this season and is averaging just over three a game. He does not need to be owned.

Vikings WR Jarius Wright (concussion) has resumed practicing in full.

Wright just popped up on the injury report Wednesday, but apparently won't miss any time with his head injury. With Stefon Diggs breaking out, Wright isn't a realistic WR5 in PPR leagues.

Jarius Wright (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday.

If Wright can't go against the Bears, rookie Stefon Diggs could get some more slot action in Week 8, with Mike Wallace and Charles Johnson outside.

Jarius Wright is in the league's concussion protocol.

Wright was limited to side work Wednesday. He's now in a race to get cleared for Week 8. Charles Johnson will see a bigger role in three-wide sets if Wright misses time.

Jarius Wright caught 2-of-3 targets for 69 yards in the Vikings' Week 6 win over Kansas City.

Stefon Diggs started in place of Charles Johnson, with Wright remaining in the slot. Wright got most of his yards on a 52-yard catch. With Diggs outplaying him, Wright could be demoted to four-wide sets if Johnson returns next week.
Sun, Oct 18, 2015 05:04:00 PM

Jarius Wright (hand) is probable for Week 6 against the Chiefs.

Wright played just one snap despite being active Week 4. He should be close to fully healthy coming of Minnesota's bye. Wright will have a bigger role if Charles Johnson (questionable, ribs) doesn't play this week.
