Patriots WR Keshawn Martin (hamstring, questionable) said he "feels good."
Acquired from Houston in September, Martin was a limited role player even before a hamstring injury knocked him out of the last five games. With Julian Edelman (foot, out) and Danny Amendola (knee, questionable) banged up, Martin's recovery suddenly has taken on some importance. If he is able to suit up, Martin will likely start and play significant snaps against Denver. He will not be worth using in the tough matchup, but he is worth a speculative add in deeper leagues. Keshawn Martin (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 12 against the Broncos.

He was limited at practice this week. With Julian Edelman and Aaron Dobson both out and Danny Amendola dealing with a sprained knee, Martin will see an increased workload if he plays on Sunday. He's caught six passes for 95 yards and a touchdown this year.
Nov 27 - 4:28 PM

Keshawn Martin (hamstring) participated in Patriots practice on a limited basis Thursday.

Martin went through the same routine last week, but was inactive for Week 11 against the Bills. His status for Sunday Night Football is uncertain.
Nov 26 - 2:10 PM

Keshawn Martin (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Martin was limited in practice last week, but missed his fifth straight game. He has potential for a big role with Danny Amendola's status up in the air. Martin will be updated on Thursday.
Nov 25 - 7:00 PM

Keshawn Martin (hamstring) is inactive for Monday night's Week 11 game against the Bills.

Some fantasy owners chased Martin after Tom Brady made a comment about Martin potentially being involved more in the absence of Julian Edelman (foot surgery), but the Texans and Jets' castoff hasn't played in five weeks. Aaron Dobson (back, questionable) is active. The remaining New England inactives are Edelman, OL Tre Jackson, LB Jamie Collins, CB Justin Coleman, DL Sealver Siliga, and DL Trey Flowers. Danny Amendola and Brandon LaFell will man receiver.

Patriots WR Keshawn Martin (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 11 against Buffalo.

Martin was limited in practice all week. It sounds like he has a decent chance to play, but there likely won't be any updates on his status until Monday night. Danny Amendola should see the biggest snaps increase in place of Julian Edelman. Martin is a speculative add in deep leagues, but isn't a Week 11 fantasy option.
Nov 21 - 4:07 PM

Patriots WR Keshawn Martin (hamstring) remained limited in Friday's practice.

Martin's status won't be known until the Patriots release their injury report on Saturday. With Julian Edelman sidelined, Martin could have an expanded role if active this week.
Nov 20 - 7:21 PM

Patriots WR Keshawn Martin (hamstring) was limited in Thursday's practice.

There's a school of thought it will be Martin, and not Danny Amendola, who sees the biggest increase in snaps in Julian Edelman's absence, but he has to get healthy first. Even if he plays, we wouldn't consider Martin a Week 11 fantasy concern. Amendola is a WR3.
Nov 19 - 4:10 PM

Tom Brady hinted WR Keshawn Martin (hamstring) could have a role once he is healthy.

Brady mentioned Martin first when asked about Julian Edelman (broken foot), and added Danny Amendola's role is "different" than what Edelman does in the offense. Amendola should still be expected to get the biggest bump in usage with Edelman out, but perhaps Martin could carve out a role.

Keshawn Martin caught 2-of-2 targets for 23 yards Week 5 against the Cowboys.

With Aaron Dobson a healthy inactive, Martin started and played 50-of-59 snaps against Dallas. Martin is unlikely to keep a role in the offense once Brandon LaFell (PUP, foot) returns, but it looks like he has jumped Dobson on the depth chart. Martin was acquired from the Texans prior to Week 2.
Oct 12 - 9:19 AM

The Texans acquired a fifth-round pick for new Patriots WR Keshawn Martin, but also sent a sixth-rounder to New England.

We're a bit surprised Bill Belichick would be willing to swap picks for a player with Martin's limited pedigree, but it speaks to New England's desperation at wideout. At most, Martin will see 2-3 weekly targets, and should spend most of his time on special teams.
Sep 17 - 1:12 PM

Patriots acquired WR Keshawn Martin from the Texans.

Martin was active, but didn’t play in Week 1. He gives the Patriots special teams depth and could see time in four-wide sets. Martin wasn't higher than Houston's No. 6 receiver.
Sep 16 - 5:18 PM

Keshawn Martin and DeVier Posey could be competing for one roster spot.

The competition for jobs behind Andre Johnson and DeAndre Hopkins is wide open, with Posey, Mike Thomas, and Alan Bonner all candidates for Houston's three- and four-wide sets. Martin is more of an asset on special teams, but averaged just 26.3 yards on kick returns last year. The Texans plan to use a lot of "12" formations with Garrett Graham and Ryan Griffin on the field at the same time, so one of Martin or Posey could be cut if they keep five receivers.

New coach Bill O'Brien recently mentioned slot receiver as a need for the Texans.

It sounds like O'Brien isn't entirely on board with theoretical incumbent slot receiver Keshawn Martin, who has disappointed as a 2012 fourth-round pick. He finished 2013 with 22 catches for 253 yards and two touchdowns, also turning in underwhelming averages on kickoff returns (26.3 yards) and punts (8.8).

Keshawn Martin caught one pass for two yards in Week 17 against the Titans.

Martin served as Houston's No. 3 receiver for much of the season but was far from fantasy relevancy. He appeared in all 16 games and caught 22 passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns. Martin also returned kicks and punts for the Texans. He has two years left on his rookie deal. Ideally, Martin would be a No. 4 receiver.
