Free agent WR Keshawn Martin visited the 49ers.

Martin was released from the Patriots at final cuts. He's mostly a special teamer, but the 49ers have the worst receiver depth in the league.
Sep 10 - 6:01 PM

Keshawn Martin was held without a catch in the Patriots' AFC Championship Game loss to the Broncos.

Martin moved ahead of Brandon LaFell on the depth chart, but was targeted only once. Martin recently signed a two-year extension that will likely guarantee his spot on the 53-man roster for 2016, but he won't be more than a low-end role player. Going on 26, Martin is a fringe Dynasty league consideration.
Jan 24 - 7:43 PM

Keshawn Martin caught 2-of-4 targets for 57 yards in the Patriots' Divisional Round win over the Chiefs.

Martin's 42-yard catch in the second half was the Patriots' longest of the game. The role player will be the puntiest of DFS punt plays for the AFC Championship Game.
Jan 16 - 8:54 PM

Patriots signed WR Keshawn Martin to a two-year, $3 million extension through 2017.

The incentive-laden deal includes a $600,000 signing bonus and several roster bonuses. If he hits all of the incentives, Martin could make just over $2.5 million in the final year of the deal. A fourth-round pick of the Texans in 2012, Martin was acquired via trade in September. He saw extensive playing time with Julian Edelman (foot) and Danny Amendola (knee) sidelined late in the year, turning 37 targets into 24 catches for 269 yards and two scores in nine games. He also assisted in the return game. With Amendola a potential cap cut this offseason, Martin could open 2016 as the No. 3 receiver.

Keshawn Martin caught 1-of-2 targets for four yards Week 17 against the Dolphins.

Martin saw just one more target than Chris Harper. With Julian Edelman on the way back, Martin is unlikely to be an offensive factor in the playoffs.
Jan 3 - 5:05 PM

Keshawn Martin caught 7-of-11 targets for 68 yards in the Patriots' Week 16 loss to the Jets.

Martin added a six-yard rush. Like Danny Amendola before him, Keshawn Martin slid right into Julian Edelman's role with Tom Brady's top two slot options hurt. Regardless of what the Pats have to play for, Martin should see significant run in Week 17.

Keshawn Martin caught 3-of-4 targets for 26 yards in the Patriots' Week 15 win over the Titans.

Martin chipped in a 75-yard kick return. Even with Danny Amendola injuring his knee this afternoon, Martin will only be on the WR4 radar in Week 16 if Julian Edelman (foot) remains sidelined.

Keshawn Martin caught 3-of-4 targets for 23 yards and a touchdown in Sunday night's Week 14 win over the Texans.

Playing his former team, Martin beat Texans CB Kevin Johnson on an inside move for a two-yard touchdown. He muffed a punt in the third quarter, and wasn't heard from again. Martin has a Week 15 matchup with the Titans, but won't be a streaming option.

Keshawn Martin snared three of eight targets for 45 yards in the Patriots' Week 13 loss to the Eagles.

Martin dropped two passes on New England’s final possession including a fourth-down throw that would have extended the game. The eight targets he saw were a career-high. He’ll continue to see looks while Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski are sidelined with injuries. Martin won’t be a recommended fantasy play against his former team, the Texans, in Week 14.

Keshawn Martin (hamstring) has been removed from the Week 13 injury report.

It confirms he didn't have any setbacks after playing 62-of-67 snaps on Sunday night. Martin won't be higher than the No. 4 pass-game option if Danny Amendola (knee) returns this week.
Wed, Dec 2, 2015 04:24:00 PM

Keshawn Martin caught one pass for eight yards in Week 12 against the Broncos.

Martin started with Danny Amendola sidelined, but played a minor role. The Patriots ran mostly two tight ends sets with Rob Gronkowski and Scott Chandler. Martin had only one target and didn't look higher than the No. 4 pass-game option. Martin will only have value if Amendola and Gronkowski don't play next week.

Patriots WR Keshawn Martin (hamstring) is active for Week 12 against the Broncos.

Martin will return after missing the last five games. With Danny Amendola sidelined, he'll start opposite Brandon LaFell. Martin isn't more than a WR4 against the Broncos secondary. The Patriots inactives are WR Julian Edelman, DL Trey Flowers, LB Jamie Collins, CB Justin Coleman, S Jordan Richards, and TE Michael Williams.

Patriots WR Keshawn Martin (hamstring) is expected to be active for Sunday night's game at Denver.

Martin has been sidelined since Week 6. Although he will have to deal with one of the league's stoutest secondaries, Martin could play a significant role with Julian Edelman (foot) and Danny Amendola (knee) both out. At 6-foot, 188, Martin ran a 4.45 forty-yard dash coming out of Michigan State. He is worth a flyer at the end of benches in 14- and 16-team fantasy leagues.

Patriots WR Keshawn Martin (hamstring, questionable) said he "feels good."

Acquired from Houston in September, Martin was a limited role player even before a hamstring injury knocked him out of the last five games. With Julian Edelman (foot, out) and Danny Amendola (knee, questionable) banged up, Martin's recovery suddenly has taken on some importance. If he is able to suit up, Martin will likely start and play significant snaps against Denver. He will not be worth using in the tough matchup, but he is worth a speculative add in deeper leagues.
