According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, fourth-round pick DT Mike Daniels "doesn't have a position" in the Packers' base scheme.
Respected beat writer Bob McGinn believes Daniels is too short to play five-technique tackle, and "not stout enough" to play nose. Packers selected Iowa DT Mike Daniels with the No. 132 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.

A two-year starter, Daniels is a high-motor player who needs to add weight to his 6-foot-1, 291 pound frame to be successful in the NFL. He is quick with great instincts, however, and could see snaps in pass-rushing situations as a rookie. Daniels won't be an asset against the run unless he's able to bulk up.
