According to NBC Denver, the deal includes a $10 million signing bonus. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports it includes $20 million in total guarantees. A restricted free agent, Marshall had yet to sign his $2.553 million tender. A 2012 fifth-round pick of the Jaguars, Marshall has turned into one of the league's best inside linebackers after getting plucked off the scrap heap by GM John Elway. Broncos ILB Brandon Marshall said he is willing to play out 2016 on a one-year tender.

Marshall still has not signed his second-round tender as he pursues a long-term deal, but he said he is open to playing out the one-year deal before hitting free agency next spring. "I have no problem playing the deal out, I have no problem with doing that," Marshall said. "But I do want to be here long-term, so that's what I'm working towards." Von Miller is a more pressing concern, but the Broncos need to get Marshall locked up as well.
May 31 - 2:32 PM

Broncos ILB Brandon Marshall is recovering from surgery to his right index finger.

Marshall has been limited in OTAs, but it shouldn't be an issue for much longer. A 2012 fifth-rounder who was cut by the Jaguars, Marshall has emerged as one of the league's best inside linebackers. Headed into his age-27 season, Marshall will be an unrestricted free agent next spring.
May 26 - 3:04 PM

Broncos restricted free agent ILB Brandon Marshall is participating in this week's voluntary minicamp.

Marshall has yet to sign his second-round tender, meaning he signed a waiver to participate. There was speculation Marshall would hold out of voluntary workouts in his pursuit of a long-term extension. After Danny Trevathan bolted in free agency, locking up Marshall should be a priority for the Broncos.

9 News Denver reports restricted free agent ILB Brandon Marshall is considering holding out of the Broncos' offseason program.

Marshall has not signed his one-year, $2.553 million RFA tender, and the offseason program is considered voluntary. His absence would not be a surprise. No team activities are mandatory until the Broncos' June 15 minicamp. Marshall gained leverage when Denver lost fellow ILB Danny Trevathan to the Bears.
Mar 30 - 2:10 PM

The Denver Post reports Broncos restricted free agent ILB Brandon Marshall is expected to draw interest from the Dolphins and Seahawks.

Marshall was extended a second-round tender, meaning any team signing him to an offer sheet would have to send a second-round pick Denver's way in order to land him. And that's if the offer sheet isn't matched by the Broncos. Marshall, 26, finished 2015 with 102 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.

Broncos extended a second-round tender to restricted free agent ILB Brandon Marshall.

Marshall will earn $2.553 million on the tender. It is a bit surprising he was not tendered at the highest level, but the cap-strapped Broncos are gambling no other team will be willing to part with a second-round pick to acquire Marshall's services. A fifth-round pick of the Jaguars in 2012, Marshall worked his way from the Broncos' practice squad in 2013 to a 16-game starter last season. With Danny Trevathan likely leaving in free agency, Denver had to retain Marshall.
Mar 7 - 8:20 AM

Broncos ILB Brandon Marshall will have surgery to remove two screws from his right foot on Friday.

Marshall had the screws inserted after suffering a foot injury late in 2014. Over time one of the screws broke in half, though Marshall still had a productive year (102 tackles). Marshall, who is a restricted free agent, should be ready for OTAs.
Feb 19 - 3:40 PM

Broncos ILB Brandon Marshall said he is dealing with "a low-ankle sprain."

An MRI revealed no significant damage in his ankle, but Marshall was still held out of Wednesday's practice. Marshall will likely sit this week, but he has a good shot to be ready for the playoffs.

Broncos ILB Brandon Marshall will undergo an MRI on his right ankle Wednesday.

Marshall suffered the injury in the fourth quarter Monday. He's away from the team on a personal matter Tuesday, hence the testing being delayed until Wednesday. Marshall is in the midst of another strong season, grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 6 overall inside linebacker.

Broncos ILB Brandon Marshall said the Broncos' defense wants to lead the league in turnovers.

Every team wants to lead the league in turnovers, but the Broncos have a legitimate chance to accomplish the feat. Denver has seven takeaways through two games and are playing much more aggressively under new-DC Wade Phillips. The Broncos DST will be a top-five option moving forward.

Broncos ILB Brandon Marshall (Lisfranc) will play in Saturday’s preseason game.

Marshall saw increased first-team reps this week after being limited early in camp. He should be close to fully recovered from last year’s Lisfranc injury. Marshall and ILB Danny Trevathan (knee) are both expected to be ready for Week 1.

Broncos LB Brandon Marshall (Lisfranc) is full-go for the start of training camp.

As is Danny Trevathan, bringing the Broncos' linebacker corps back to full health after it was ravaged by injury in 2014. Headed into his age-26 campaign, Marshall exploded as a playmaker last season, registering 113 tackles, two sacks, one interception and a forced fumble. He's due $585,000 in the final year of his rookie contract.

Broncos ILB Brandon Marshall (Lisfranc) expects to resume running next week.

Marshall has been shut down since March Lisfranc surgery. He expects to be ready for training camp, but is a candidate to start out on active/PUP. Only three months removed from Lisfranc, Marshall could struggle to regain pre-injury form after breaking out for 113 tackles and 12 TFLs last year.

Updating a previous item, Broncos ILB Brandon Marshall is recovering from Lisfranc surgery.

Just as we suspected. Marshall suffered ligament damage and "bones were shifting." It's a painful injury that comes with a lengthy rehab and is prone to setbacks. Marshall hopes to be ready for camp, but that's not a given after he underwent surgery March 11. With Marshall and Danny Trevathan (knee) coming off injuries and Nate Irving signing with the Colts, inside linebacker is a need for the Broncos. They reportedly like Mississippi State ILB Benardrick McKinney.
