Cowboys re-signed DE Jack Crawford to a one-year contract.
Crawford, 27, spent last season as a reserve defensive tackle and end for Dallas, tallying four sacks but getting washed out in run defense. The Cowboys will hope Crawford won't have to play as many snaps this season. Edge pass rusher is arguably Dallas' biggest need entering this month's draft. Apr 4 - 4:02 PM

Free agent DE Jack Crawford will visit the Steelers.

Cowboys signed DE Jack Crawford, formerly of the Raiders.

It's always a bad sign when a player can't make the Raiders' roster, but the Cowboys' defense is actually worse than Oakland's -- and probably by a good margin. Dallas is simply taking a flier here on a 26-year-old defensive end.

Raiders waived DE Jack Crawford.

A three-year starter at Penn State, Crawford was a fifth-round pick in 2012. He had zero sacks in 19 career games with Oakland. Following Crawford's release, only two of Oakland's six picks from the 2012 draft are still on the team.

Raiders signed fifth-round DE Jack Crawford, sixth-round DT Christo Bilukidi, and seventh-round LB Nathan Stupar to four-year contracts.

Born in London, Crawford was a three-year starter at Penn State. On a deep defensive line, he'll likely begin his career as a special teamer. Born in Angola with time in France and Brazil, the raw Bilukidi established a Georgia State record with 10 sacks in two years. Stupar, Crawford's teammate with the Nittany Lions, has a shot at a roster spot in a shallow linebacking corps.

Raiders selected Penn State DE Jack Crawford with the No. 158 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.

A three-year starter for the Nittany Lions, Crawford recorded 40 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks as a senior. Although he shows natural strength and explosion at the line of scrimmage, Crawford struggles to win one-on-one battles once engaged and doesn't always identify run versus pass. He'll vie for a roster spot as a rotational lineman in Oakland.
