Jets signed CB Corey White, formerly of the Bills.
White can supposedly play safety, but has manned corner his entire NFL career. Capable of playing both inside and out, he's a versatile depth piece, though not a terribly-effective one. White played 412 snaps on defense for the Bills in 2016. May 25 - 6:22 PM

Bills signed DB Corey White, formerly of the Cardinals.

White ended last season on Arizona's roster, but also spent time with the Saints and Cowboys. Although White theoretically can play safety, outside corner, and the slot, he is best utilized as a special teamer and backup defender.

Free agent DB Corey White is visiting the Bills on Monday.

LB Zach Brown is also visiting. A fifth-round pick by the Saints in 2012, White spent time with both the Cowboys and Cardinals last season. He can play both outside and in the slot.

Cowboys waived S Corey White.

Claimed off waivers from the Saints in March, White was active for 7-of-9 games, making one start. White is only 25, but struggled mightily for New Orleans in 2014. He's capable of playing multiple spots in the secondary, but none of them well.

Cowboys claimed CB Corey White off waivers from the Saints.

White started nine games last season before being reduced to sub-packages. He graded out as a bottom-three corner by PFF, but has the versatility to line up at multiple spots. White isn't a lock to make the Cowboys' 53-man roster.

Saints released CB Corey White.

White lost his starting corner spot to Terrance Frederick late last season and only played sporadically after that. He's inconsistent, but some team is likely to take a chance on White because of his versatility. In addition to playing outside corner, White has also spent time at nickel back and safety.

Saints declared CB Corey White, WR Seantavius Jones, CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste, LB Moise Fokou, NT Lawrence Virgil, OT Nick Becton, and LB Ronald Powell inactive for Monday night's Week 15 game against the Bears.

White has started nine games this season and was acting as the Saints' nickel corner the past two weeks after being demoted from the starting lineup. Now, he won't play at all with coach Sean Payton making changes. Terrence Frederick will start at cornerback opposite Keenan Lewis. White has graded out as Pro Football Focus' 109th corner out of 110 qualifiers. He's been torched all year.

Saints placed CB Corey White on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.

A fifth-round pick in last April's draft, White had been serving as the Saints' nickel back before first going down in Week 10. He had appeared in just one game since. White should be 100 percent well ahead of training camp, and will likely open 2013 as New Orleans' No. 3 or 4 corner.

Saints CB Corey White (knee) has been ruled out for Week 14.

White has battled the knee issue over the last month, missing two games before returning last week to play special teams. Johnny Patrick has handled White's nickel duties over the last three games, and will serve as the Saints slot cornerback in Sunday's game against the Giants.

Saints agreed to terms with fifth-round CB Corey White and seventh-round OT Marcel Jones on four-year contracts.

Coming from small-school Samford, the Saints plan to let White compete with Johnny Patrick for nickel duties in camp. It's a battle Patrick should easily win, leaving White to play primarily special teams as a rookie. Jones is a massive 6-foot-6, 320 pounds, but had a poor Combine following an injury-marred college career. He's likely ticketed for the practice squad.

Saints fifth-rounder Corey White is expected to battle Johnny Patrick for the third cornerback spot.

Patrick will be the heavy favorite. The Saints appreciate White's size, speed, confidence, and press ability, but he may have a learning curve coming from small school Samford. The Saints will hold off on moving White to safety for now.

Saints selected Samford S Corey White with the No. 162 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.

White played cornerback for Samford, but an excellent tackler and run defender, he's expected to be switched to safety by the Saints. At 5-foot-11, 206 pounds, he has standard safety size. White will primarily play on special teams as a rookie, but gives the Saints insurance at safety in case Roman Harper is suspended for his role in the team's bounty scandal.
