Rams agreed to terms with CB Rod Hood.
The eight-year veteran will add size and experience to a secondary that has allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season. Hood played under coach Steve Spagnuolo in Philadelphia early in his career. Tue, Sep 27, 2011 07:27:00 PM

Free agent CB Rod Hood visited the Rams on Saturday, but left without signing.

Hood took a physical, but the Rams must not have been sold on the veteran. The 29-year-old was out of football last season after tearing his ACL in 2010 OTAs.

The Rams will host free agent CB Rod Hood this Thursday.

Hood was out of football last season after tearing his ACL in 2010 OTAs. He has history with Steve Spagnuolo as an Eagles nickel back in the mid-2000s.

Titans CB Roderick Hood will miss the entire 2010 season after suffering a torn ACL in OTA practice last Friday.

The Titans weren't giving Hood a fair shot to win the starting job opposite Cortland Finnegan, but he was going to supply solid veteran depth. It's a quietly significant loss for a pass defense that struggled throughout last season. Hood will enter free agency in 2011 with very little market appeal.

Titans CB Roderick Hood is out until June at least after undergoing surgery to fix a sports hernia.

The Titans are optimistic that Hood will return by the final two months of June, but that seems unlikely. The injury is a major blow to Hood's chances of winning the starting cornerback job opposite Cortland Finnegan. Jason McCourty and Ryan Mouton remain the odds-on favorites for the position.

Titans re-signed CB Roderick Hood.

Hood solidified Tennessee's left cornerback spot after the team acquired him at midseason last year. Though he received no serious interest elsewhere, the move is a good one for the Titans. Still just 28, Hood is experienced as both an outside corner and nickel back. He's a fine sub-package player.

The Titans are making an effort to retain free agent CB Rod Hood, sources tell beat writer Terry McCormick.

Hood came to the Titans' injury-ravaged secondary midway through the season and played well considering he was cut by three different teams last offseason. If he returns, he'll be in the mix to start opposite Cortland Finnegan.

Rod Hood is expected to start at corner in place of Nick Harper (forearm) Sunday.

Hood was inactive for Week 16 and it came back to bite the Titans when Harper went down. Hood has bounced around the league all season but played well in three spot starts with the Titans earlier this season.

Titans declared CB Rod Hood, WR Dominique Edison, RB Javon Ringer, LB Colin Allred, T/G Troy Kropog, TE Jared Cook, DE Jevon Kearse and DT Kevin Vickerson inactive for Week 14 against the Rams.

The Titans are relatively healthy for their Week 14 matchup with the Rams.

Titans CB Rod Hood is in line for another start this week even though Nick Harper (forearm) is close to returning.

Hood played well in last week's win over the Jaguars with an interception and three tackles. The Titans have no reason to rush Harper back with a 1-6 record.

Titans signed CB Rod Hood.

Tennessee is desperate for cornerback help with Cortland Finnegan (hamstring) highly questionable and Vincent Fuller and Nick Harper out. Hood is expected to practice on Thursday as he tries to get up to speed for Sunday's horrific matchup against the Patriots.

According to the NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, the Titans will work out free agent CB Roderick Hood on Tuesday.

Hood was with the Browns and Bears in the preseason, and he recently worked out for the Patriots. The Titans' nickel corner, Vincent Fuller, is out for four-to-six weeks with a broken arm, so they could use the depth.

According to Brad Biggs of the National Football Post, free agent CB Rod Hood worked out for the Patriots this week.

Hood has been released by the Cardinals, Browns and Bears this summer. The veteran is trying to set the record for getting rejected by the most teams in one offseason.

Bears released CB Rod Hood.

Well that was quick. Hood was just signed on Tuesday to give the Bears some much-needed secondary depth. Maybe the news that Charles Tillman is ready to go meant they didn't need Hood. Or maybe Hood, who has now been released by three teams in the last four months, isn't that good.

Bears agreed to a one-year deal with CB Roderick Hood.

It's a little odd that Hood has been released by two teams in the last four months, but he should be able to help out a nicked up Bears secondary immediately. Hood is an efficient tackler and can play in sub-packages.
