Falcons selected Mississippi State S Charles Mitchell with the No. 192 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.

Mitchell was a three-year starter in the SEC, but doesn't have the size/athleticism combination to be a future NFL starter. He is a physical, hard-hitter, however, and could step in as an occasional run stopper. Mitchell's future is most likely on special teams.
