Seahawks placed DT Greg Scruggs on the reserve/PUP list.

Scruggs tore his right ACL before April's draft and is unlikely to play this season, although the Seahawks apparently believe he could help very late in the year. Scruggs played well as a rookie in 2012, recording a pair of sacks.

Seahawks DE Greg Scruggs suffered a torn right ACL before the draft and could miss the entire season.

Scruggs, a 2012 seventh-round pick, played 257 snaps as a rookie and registered six tackles and two sacks. It's a tough break for Scruggs, but the team is loaded up front and should be able to absorb the hit. Since the injury happened before training camp, expect Scruggs to spend the entire year on reserve/PUP.

Seahawks selected Louisville DT Greg Scruggs with the No. 232 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.

Only a part-time player his final two years at Louisville, Scruggs boasts NFL-level athleticism, but needs to bulk up before he can be trusted on the field. Scruggs is an upside pick for a Seahawks team that has made a number of unconventional selections. Scruggs will have to impress early and often to earn a roster spot. He'll likely spend 2012 on the practice squad.
