Giants signed CB Terrence Frederick from the team's practice squad and waived OT Selvish Capers.
The G-Men need the depth on the back end with CB Prince Amukamara (hamstring) and safeties Kenny Phillips (knee) and Tyler Sash (hamstring) ruled out for Sunday. Steelers signed seventh-round CB Terrence Frederick to a four-year contract.

The Steelers' coaching staff views Frederick as a special teams and slot corner prospect, and he possesses an ideal skill set for the latter position. As a rookie, Frederick would do well to earn a role in sub-packages by season's end.

Steelers selected Texas A&M CB Terrence Frederick with the No. 246 overall pick in the 2012 draft.

Frederick didn't generate much pre-draft buzz as a slight (5'10/187) corner with only four interceptions in 45 career starts, but he was a highly effective cornerback blitzer (six career sacks) and is cutout to cover the slot in the pros. Frederick should stand a reasonable chance of cracking the 53.
