Jets RB Daryl Richardson (toe) should be ready for training camp.
Richardson has been sitting out OTAs with a turf toe injury that plagued him throughout 2013. With a crowded depth chart ahead of him, Richardson will need a strong, healthy training camp to crack the Jets' final roster. Jun 14 - 1:20 PM

Jets claimed RB Daryl Richardson off waivers from the Rams.

Richardson opened 2013 in a starting role with St. Louis, but appeared in only eight games while dealing with injuries. He averaged just 3.1 yards per carry when healthy last year after averaging 4.8 YPC as a rookie. Richardson should compete with Bilal Powell for a roster spot as a change-of-pace back.

Rams waived RB Daryl Richardson.

Someone was going to be the odd man out in St. Louis' crowded backfield after the Rams spent the No. 75 overall pick on Tre Mason, but it was expected to be Isaiah Pead, not Richardson. Playing through turf toe, Richardson was dreadful as a sophomore after opening the season as the Rams' de facto starter, managing only 215 yards on 69 carries (3.11 YPC). Just one year removed from a successful rookie campaign as a change-of-pace back, Richardson is unlikely to make it through waivers unclaimed.

Daryl Richardson battled turf toe the entire 2013 season and points to that as one of the main reasons he struggled as a second-year pro.

Richardson suffered the injury in the season opener. It affected his push-off and made planting and cutting difficult. Richardson averaged just 3.1 YPC as a sophomore and didn't even dress for the final eight games. GM Les Snead remains confident Richardson can return to a prominent offensive role, but for now the Rams want Richardson to stay off his feet and let the toe heal.

Daryl Richardson (thigh) is listed as doubtful for Week 17.

After averaging 4.8 YPC as a rookie in 2012, Richardson's disappointing sophomore year ends with a 3.1 clip and a lost starting job to Zac Stacy. Richardson may have a place in St. Louis' long-term plans, but only as a perimeter-oriented change-of-pace back. His value in Dynasty fantasy leagues is minimal.

Daryl Richardson (thigh) did not practice Wednesday.

Richardson hasn't appeared in a game since Week 8 due to injuries and poor performance. With just two games remaining, he's a candidate to be shut down for the season.

Daryl Richardson hasn't appeared in a game since Week 8.

Richardson is listed as questionable for Week 15 with a thigh injury. He's been scratched weekly due to injuries and poor performance. D-Rich's YPC has dropped to 3.1 among 69 rushing attempts after averaging 4.8 YPC in 2012.

Rams declared RB Daryl Richardson, CB Brandon McGee, C Scott Wells, OG Shelley Smith, OT Mike Person, DT Jermelle Cudjo, and DE Gerald Rivers inactive for Week 14 against the Cardinals.

Richardson remains behind Isaiah Pead as the No. 3 running back. Wells has a broken fibula. RG Harvey Dahl is back from his MCL injury.

Rams declared RB Daryl Richardson, OG Harvey Dahl, OL Barrett Jones, CB Quinton Pointer, DT Matt Conrath, OT Mike Person and DE Gerald Rivers inactive for Week 12 against the Bears.

Richardson was absent from the Week 12 injury report, so he's a healthy scratch against one of the league's worst run defenses. Benny Cunningham will presumably back up Zac Stacy, but it's possible the Rams are finally ready to take another look at Isaiah Pead. Either way, bell-cow Stacy is going to cede extremely few touches to his backups.

Rams RB Daryl Richardson (foot) is inactive for Week 10 against the Colts.

As is TE Lance Kendricks (finger). Richardson's absence means Zac Stacy should be backed up by Benny Cunningham, with Isaiah Pead perhaps getting a touch or two. Either way, Stacy is going to cede very few touches to his backups. Also inactive for the Rams are QB Brady Quinn, OG Harvey Dahl, OL Barrett Jones, T Mike Person and DE Gerald Rivers. OT Rodger Saffold is taking Dahl's place at right guard.

Daryl Richardson (foot) was downgraded from limited practice Thursday to no practice on Friday and is questionable for Week 9.

Whereas Zac Stacy practiced on both Thursday and Friday and appears all set to play against the Titans, change-of-pace back Richardson's outlook is less clear. Richardson is not worth using in any fantasy leagues this week.

Daryl Richardson (foot/toe) was limited in Thursday's practice.

It's an upgrade from Wednesday, when Richardson sat out completely. The Week 1 starter is likely to play against the Titans, but owners that grabbed him off the wire may be left with dust in their hands. Zac Stacy (ankle) was a full participant Thursday and appears on track to handle every-down plus goal-line work.

Daryl Richardson rushed for 39 yards on eight carries in Week 8 versus Seattle.

Richardson added one catch for eight yards as he saw his most extensive action since Week 5. The second-year back took his first carry 14 yards around the left edge then saw plenty of work on the final drive after Zac Stacy injured his ankle. Richardson has yet to find the end zone in his career and was stuffed at the one-yard line on the second-to-last play Monday night. He could be in line to take over lead-back duties once again if Stacy's injury is serious.

Daryl Richardson rushed three times for nine yards in St. Louis' Week 7 loss to the Panthers.

He added one catch for nine yards. Buried behind an impressive Zac Stacy on the depth chart, Richardson can be cut loose in 12-team leagues.

Daryl Richardson rushed for five yards on three carries in Week 6 against the Texans.

He added one catch for 18 yards on a screen pass. Richardson is way behind Zac Stacy in the Rams' backfield pecking order. He just doesn't run with enough urgency or hit holes fast enough. Richardson and Benny Cunningham each saw three carries, while Isiah Pead didn't play a snap. Richardson will only be fantasy relevant again this season if Stacy ends up getting injured.
