Ihenacho needs surgery, and was going to miss a minimum of six weeks. The ex-Bronco won starting duties in camp after missing nearly all of 2014 with a fractured heel. He beat out Jeron Johnson, who was signed as a free agent after spending the first four years of his career in Seattle. Ihenacho is a "box" safety who started 14 games for the 2013 Broncos. He missed most of last season with a broken heel.
