ESPN's Adam Teicher says TE Sean McGrath is unlikely to make the Chiefs' final roster.
McGrath played surprisingly well last season after injuries forced him into the starting lineup, catching 26 passes for 302 yards and two touchdowns. He is not the most athletic tight end, however, and struggles as a blocker. He's battling for a job behind Anthony Fasano and promising Travis Kelce. Jul 5 - 1:02 PM

Sean McGrath wasn't targeted in Kansas City's Wild Card loss to the Colts.

A second-year undrafted free agent, McGrath showed well in limited duty this season, catching 26 passes for 302 yards and two touches. Thanks largely to injuries to Anthony Fasano, McGrath played 622 snaps. He showed a nice pair of hands, but struggled as a blocker. He has an inside bead on a 2014 roster spot, but still needs to have a strong camp and preseason. McGrath isn't much of an option in Dynasty leagues. He's 26 and has limited athleticism.

Sean McGrath caught two passes for 14 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's Week 15 win at Oakland.

Anthony Fasano (knee) was inactive again, leaving the Bearded Wonder to play every down at tight end. He responded with a surprisingly crisp goal-line slant route, converting it for a six-yard touchdown. McGrath would be a weak TE2 against the Colts in Week 16 even if Fasano sits again. He has limited athletic ability and plays in a very conservative passing attack.

Starting in place of an injured Anthony Fasano (knee, concussion), Sean McGrath caught two passes for 20 yards in Kansas City's Week 14 win over the Redskins.

McGrath was a solid fill-in for Fasano earlier in the season, but drew only three targets in a blowout. Fasano could return as early as Week 15, keeping McGrath off the TE2 radar in re-draft leagues.

Sean McGrath caught one pass for one yard in Kansas City's Week 7 win over the Texans.

This, after McGrath was held catch-less in Week 6. With Anthony Fasano (knee/ankle) finally back, McGrath can be dropped in all re-draft leagues.

Fill-in Chiefs TE Sean McGrath was held without a catch in Week 6.

The doughnut snaps a string of three straight four-catch performances. McGrath will be a low-end TE2 until Anthony Fasano (ankle) returns.

Chiefs TE Sean McGrath caught four balls for 54 yards in Kansas City's Week 5 win over Tennessee.

McGrath caught dump-down passes from Alex Smith between the numbers, topping 50 yards for the second straight game. He's only playing so much because Anthony Fasano and Travis Kelce are banged up. McGrath will not be a realistic bye-week filler play when the Chiefs face the lowly Raiders in Week 6.

Sean McGrath caught five passes for 64 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's Week 4 win over the Giants.

With Anthony Fasano (ankle) and Travis Kelce (knee) remaining sidelined, McGrath has emerged as the Chiefs No. 1 tight end. And despite playing like a poor man's Scott Chandler, he's on pace to catch 44 passes for 504 yards with four touchdowns. It won't last. McGrath's fluky line isn't worth chasing as the 4-0 Chiefs head to Tennessee in Week 5.

Making his first-career start, Chiefs TE Sean McGrath caught four passes for 31 yards in Kansas City's Week 3 win over the Eagles.

With Travis Kelce (knee) and Anthony Fasano (ankle) both sidelined, McGrath managed to haul in all four of his targets. The only part of his game that stood out, however, was his unseemly beard. Keep McGrath quarantined to the waiver wire.

Seahawks will promote TE Sean McGrath from the practice squad.

Veteran Evan Moore is expected to be released in a corresponding move. Undrafted out of Henderson State, McGrath will be the third tight end behind Zach Miller and Anthony McCoy.
