The Oakland Tribune passes along "whispers" that free agent RT Langston Walker is considering retirement.

"That story has not been confirmed by Walker or his representation," cautions the Oakland Trib. The Raiders are probably ready to move on anyhow. Walker turns 32 in September, and Oakland should be looking for a long-term answer.

Raiders RT Langston Walker has passed all his concussion tests, but he's still feeling the symptoms.

"I passed all the tests," Walker said, "now it's just getting rid of all the symptoms. I guess it's up to your body to heal." The veteran will almost surely sit out his second straight game this weekend.

Raiders RT Langston Walker will go through concussion tests with the hopes of playing in Week 16.

It's unlikely that Walker will play just a week after taking a shot that reportedly knocked him out for 30 seconds, especially considering the increased attention given to concussions. Mario Henderson should get the nod in Walker's absence.

Raiders RT Langston Walker left the Week 12 game in the second quarter with an apparent left shoulder injury.

Walker walked off the field under his own power with a trainer holding his left arm. He looked to be in modest discomfort. We'll keep you posted with more details as they unfold. Khalif Barnes is Walker's backup at right tackle.

Raiders RT Langston Walker recently underwent "clean-up" surgery on his elbow.

"Taking out some loose bodies, some things like that," coach Tom Cable explained. "Nothing big, just so we're ready to go to camp." Walker had taken over as the starting right tackle before going under the knife. Expect him to keep the job unless rookie Jared Veldheer turns heads in training camp.

Langston Walker has started ahead of Khalif Barnes at right tackle in all three practices this weekend.

It's never a good sign when you're being bypassed by Walker, but he's probably a better pass blocker than Barnes at this point. Rookies Jared Veldheer and Bruce Campbell are also expected to be in the mix at right tackle.

Raiders re-signed OL Langston Walker.

Walker, 31 before the season, held up well at left guard down last season's stretch. His primary position in the league has been right tackle. While Walker figures to earn a spot on the final 53-man roster, his addition should do nothing to deter Oakland from drafting linemen later this month.

Raiders declared LG Langston Walker, third QB J.P. Losman, WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, RB Justin Fargas, QB Bruce Gradkowski, CB Chris Johnson and DE Greyson Gunheim inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Charlie Frye is facing an uphill battle without Walker and Fargas.

Langston Walker will start at LG for the Raiders on Sunday in Denver.

Walker is stepping in after Chris Morris' play last week wasn't as good as coach Tom Cable had hoped. Walker (6'8/365) may be the biggest zone-blocking left guard ever. He tried the guard spot two weeks ago when Robert Gallery was lost for the season, but, apparently, it was too "hilarious," so the Raiders went with Morris. Charlie Frye won't be laughing come Sunday.

Raiders signed OT Langston Walker, formerly of the Bills.

Walker, 30, can play right and left tackle, but will be tried on the strong side for Oakland, which is dealing with RT Cornell Green's calf injury. Walker lacks good mobility, however, and fits the zone-blocking scheme poorly.

Free agent LT Langston Walker is expected to re-sign with the Raiders Wednesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Raiders offensive line has been hit hard by injuries, with Robert Gallery (leg) and Cornell Green (calf) both missing time. Walker was drafted by the Raiders in ths second round of the 2002 draft. He was surprisingly cut by the Bills just before Week 1 this season.
