Cole Beasley caught all four of his targets for 49 yards in the Cowboys' Week 3 loss to the Falcons.

Beasley got most of his yardage on a 20-yard catch. He was more involved than Terrance Williams, but finished behind Jason Witten and Lance Dunbar in targets. Even with Dez Bryant sidelined, Beasley isn't more than a WR5/6.

Cole Beasley caught 4-of-5 targets for 14 yards in the Cowboys' Week 2 win over the Eagles.

Beasley now has eight grabs for 63 yards through two games. Beasley will have bigger games with Dez Bryant sidelined, but isn't more than a WR4 in PPR leagues. He's a 5/6 in standard formats.
Sep 20 - 8:45 PM

Cole Beasley had four catches for 49 yards in Week 1 against the Giants.

Beasley got the majority of his six targets on screens. He had a fumble that was returned for a touchdown at the end of the first quarter. Beasley should see an expanded role with Dez Bryant sidelined, but will remain limited to the slot.

Cole Beasley caught a six-yard pass in Saturday's preseason game.

The Cowboys' slot man finishes the summer with two grabs for 11 yards. He's a WR5/6 in standard leagues.

Cole Beasley's role is not expected to change if Dez Bryant misses games.

Devin Street is Bryant's direct backup on the outside. Beasley would remain the No. 3 receiver functioning out of the slot, a role that netted him 3.5 catches per game over the final eight weeks (including playoffs).

Cowboys agreed to terms with WR Cole Beasley on a four-year, $13.6M contract.

The Cowboys likely could have retained Beasley on a second-round restricted free agent tender. Instead, they decided to make a longer-term commitment with a $4M signing bonus as part of $7M guaranteed. The grossly undersized Beasley emerged as a reliable slot option late last year, averaging 3.5 catches per day over the final eight games (including playoffs). He'll continue to fill a Jeremy Kerley kind of role for Dallas, who used their franchise tag on Dez Bryant Monday and also has No. 2 man Terrance Williams under contract.

ESPN Dallas believes the Cowboys could put a second-round tender on restricted free agent WR Cole Beasley.

Beasley would make $2.4 million at the second-round level. The Cowboys also have the option of giving him a low tender, but risk not getting any compensation if he signs elsewhere. Beasley finished fourth on Dallas with 48 targets last season, posting a 37/420/4 line.

The Cowboys intend to retain restricted free agent WR Cole Beasley.

A second-round tender would ensure Beasley remains in Dallas, but it makes more sense for both sides to hash out a longer-term deal. Either way, Beasley will likely be back for another season as Tony Romo's slot receiver. Beasley had 37 targets in Dallas' final seven games of 2015, including 11 in the playoffs.

Jan 17 - 12:36 PM

Cole Beasley secured 3-of-3 targets for 38 yards in the Cowboys' Divisional Round loss to the Packers.

Beasley's usage was down after his eight-target Wild Card Round performance as Tony Romo only attempted 19 passes against the Packers. Beasley is a useful real-life player as a quick-footed slot receiver capable of exploiting soft spots in zones. A restricted free agent this offseason, expect Beasley to command a second-round tender from Cowboys brass.
Jan 11 - 4:31 PM

Cole Beasley secured 4-of-8 targets for 63 yards in the Cowboys' Wild Card Round win over the Lions.

Beasley picked up Dallas' first first down of the game on an intermediate out route for a gain of 17. As the Cowboys played frequent three-receiver sets after falling behind, Beasley was on the field more than usual. His second reception went for a gain of 15 midway through the third quarter. Beasley ripped off another 19-yard gain later in the same frame. Beasley's fourth catch went for 12, he drew a pair of fourth-quarter penalties against Lions MLB Tahir Whitehead and WLB DeAndre Levy to help set up Terrance Williams' game-winning score. The Cowboys head to Lambeau next for a Divisional Round showdown with the Packers.
Jan 4 - 7:53 PM

Cole Beasley caught 6-of-9 targets for 57 yards in the Cowboys' Week 17 win over the Redskins.

A 2012 undrafted free agent, Beasley closes the book on his third NFL season with new career highs in yards (420) and touchdowns (four). He replaced Terrance Williams as the Cowboys' No. 2 receiver down the stretch. He'll be a low-cost DFS option during the postseason.

Cole Beasley caught 2-of-3 targets for 29 yards and a score Week 16 against the Colts.

Beasley slipped a disinterested tackle after a short catch early in the second quarter and waltz 24-yards into the end zone. Beasley will close out the regular season Week 17 against Washington.

Cole Beasley caught 3-of-3 targets for 42 yards and two touchdowns in Dallas' Week 14 win over the Bears.

Astoundingly, all three of Beasley's catches came inside the Bears' two-yard line. His lone non-touchdown grab could have gone for a score had he turned around quickly enough. Beasley has now surpassed 40 yards in each of his past three games while totaling three touchdowns, but he's just a desperation WR4/5 for re-draft purposes.

Cole Beasley had two catches for 14 yards in Week 4 against the Saints.

They were his only targets of the game. Beasley is now up to eight catches for 75 yards through four games.
