Jaguars waived WR Kevin Elliott.

The undrafted rookie's fall from graces was swift. Elliott dropped two passes (and arguably a third) while committing a penalty against the Jets last week. He had tumbled to sixth receiver in Wednesday's practice. Jordan Shipley is locked into the No. 3 role. The Jags promoted OL Austin Pasztor from the practice squad to take Elliott's roster spot.

Following Sunday's loss to the Jets, coach Mike Mularkey called out WR Kevin Elliott for drops.

Elliott, an undrafted rookie starting in place of Cecil Shorts (concussion), had just three catches on 10 targets. He had two glaring drops and stepped out of bounds before a catch on the Jags' final drive. "Kevin has had too many drops," Mularkey said. "He hasn't had as many opportunities as some of these other guys, but he has had drops. Those are uncontested plays that he should make and I know he knows he should make."

Kevin Elliott caught just three passes for 38 yards in Week 14 versus the Jets.

Elliott was targeted 10 times on the day, but he dropped a few passes and was later called for an illegal touching penalty after stepping out of bounds before making a fourth-quarter catch. It was a day to forget for Elliott, who was starting in place of Cecil Shorts (concussion). Elliott isn't a fantasy option at all.

Kevin Elliott is expected to draw the start opposite Justin Blackmon with Cecil Shorts (concussion) ruled out for Week 14.

Undrafted out of Florida A&M, Elliott has seven receptions for 70 yards for the Jags this season. While he's a good bet to draw 6-8 targets with Antonio Cromartie shadowing Justin Blackmon, Elliott has shown nothing to suggest fantasy owners should roll the dice against a Jets defense allowing the 27th-most points to wide receivers.

Kevin Elliott was inserted into the lineup Sunday following Laurent Robinson's first-half concussion.

Elliot is an undrafted free agent out of Florida A&M that made the 53-man roster with an impressive training camp. On Sunday, he posted two catches for 24 yards on four targets. The Jags chose to keep Mike Thomas and Cecil Shorts inside.
