Josh Bellamy (concussion) is doubtful for Week 12 against the Eagles.
Bellamy left last week's game with a concussion and has yet to clear the league's protocol. It's another blow to what was already one of the league's thinnest receiving groups. Philadelphia's defense should be the chalk in DFS this week. Nov 24 - 2:44 PM

Date:

Josh Bellamy left Sunday's Week 11 game against the Lions and is in the concussion protocol.

He took a big hit while blocking for teammate Tarik Cohen about midway through the third quarter. Bellamy played 20 snaps without drawing any targets before exiting.
Nov 19 - 3:15 PM

Bears WR Josh Bellamy caught 2-of-7 targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 10 loss to the Packers.

His highlight was a 46-yard touchdown in the second half. Otherwise, Bellamy was highly inefficient with at least two drops. He continues to share time with Dontrelle Inman, Kendall Wright, and Tre McBride and isn't worth rostering in 16-team leagues as a rotational receiver in the Bears' run-heavy offense.
Nov 12 - 4:18 PM

Josh Bellamy caught 4-of-7 targets for 51 yards in the Bears' Week 2 loss to the Bucs.

The Bears' No. 3 receiver was fourth in targets this afternoon. What little relevance Bellamy has will probably evaporate once Markus Wheaton (finger) returns.
Sep 17 - 6:26 PM

Josh Bellamy (ankle) is questionable for Week 2 against the Buccaneers.

Bellamy popped up on the injury report after tweaking his ankle at Thursday's practice but still finished the session. Given the Bears' extreme lack of receiving depth following injuries to Cam Meredith (ACL) and Kevin White (shoulder), Bellamy will probably be out there on Sunday even if he's not 100 percent.
Sep 15 - 2:11 PM

Josh Bellamy (ankle) was limited at Thursday's practice.

Bellamy isn't a player we usually blurb about but these are desperate times in Chicago. With Cameron Meredith absent and Kevin White hurt as usual, Bellamy drew four targets in Sunday's loss to Atlanta. Ultimately Bellamy should be fine for Week 2 against Tampa Bay.
Sep 14 - 3:02 PM

Bears WR Josh Bellamy caught 3-of-4 targets for 27 yards in the team's Week 1 loss to Atlanta.

Bellamy turned in his patented end-zone drop on Chicago's final drive of the game. Bellamy stands to benefit if Kevin White (wrist, shoulder) misses any time as the Bears' third receiver behind Deonte Thompson and Kendall Wright. Still, we don't have high expectations for Chicago's wideout corps as a unit with Mike Glennon quarterbacking a decidedly run-first offense.
Sep 10 - 4:46 PM

Bears re-signed WR Josh Bellamy to a one-year, $850,000 contract.

A 2012 UDFA, Bellamy was an exclusive rights free agent. Bellamy has provided depth each of the past two years, catching 38 total passes for 506 yards. He'll have a good shot at retaining his 53-man roster spot.
Mar 6 - 5:03 PM

Josh Bellamy caught 1-of-3 targets for a 10-yard touchdown in the Bears' Week 15 loss to the Packers.

Bellamy was the odd man out with Alshon Jeffery back from suspension. Bellamy will be off the radar for Week 16 against the Redskins.
Sun, Dec 18, 2016 06:32:00 PM

Josh Bellamy caught 3-of-7 targets for 45 yards in the Bears' Week 14 loss to the Lions.

He finished second on the team in targets behind Cameron Meredith. On a weekly basis, the Bears' pass-catcher corps has become a crapshoot to try to forecast. They are also getting back Alshon Jeffery from suspension soon.
Sun, Dec 11, 2016 04:35:00 PM

Josh Bellamy is active for Week 14 against the Lions.

He was listed as questionable with a shoulder injury, but was always likely to play. Bellamy led the Bears in Week 13 receiving and is probably the favorite to repeat. Cameron Meredith and Bellamy are now Chicago's top-two receivers.

Josh Bellamy (shoulder) is questionable for Week 14 against the Lions.

Bellamy got in limited practices all week. He will likely play, and he is not a bad flier in deeper leagues after seeing 15 total targets the last two weeks.
Fri, Dec 9, 2016 06:45:00 PM

Bears WR Josh Bellamy (shoulder) remained "limited" on Thursday.

Bellamy could be starting Sunday's game against the Lions depending on Marquess Wilson's (groin) health. Bellamy has eight grabs on 15 targets over the Bears' past two games. He's an emergency WR5.
Thu, Dec 8, 2016 04:12:00 PM

Josh Bellamy caught 4-of-6 targets for 93 yards in Week 13 against the 49ers.

He also had a 12-yard run. Bellamy saw the majority of his snaps after Marquess Wilson went down. He led Chicago in both yards and targets, but dropped a would-be touchdown. Bellamy could start Week 14 if Wilson misses time.
Sun, Dec 4, 2016 05:14:00 PM

The Bears are starting Josh Bellamy and Marc Mariani at wide receiver in Week 17 against the Lions.

With Zach Miller (toe) inactive, they're starting Rob Housler at tight end. The Bears have been decimated at wideout this season, losing Marquess Wilson, Alshon Jeffery, and Kevin White to year-ending injuries, and Eddie Royal to an illness and a knee injury that hampered him throughout the year.
