Dolphins signed WR LaRon Byrd.
Byrd, 26 in August, played his college ball at Miami. He looks the part at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds with 4.45 wheels, but has bounced around the league since entering as an UDFA in 2012. He's appeared in just five career games, making an eight-yard catch. Byrd will compete for the Dolphins' No. 5 receiver job. Apr 15 - 9:20 AM

Browns claimed WR LaRon Byrd off waivers from the Cowboys.

Byrd looks the part at 6'4/220 with 4.45 speed, but had one catch across two seasons for the Cardinals and then lasted just three months with the Cowboys this offseason. He's not the answer for the Browns' wideout woes.

Cowboys signed WR LaRon Byrd to a two-year contract.

At 6'4/220 with 4.45 speed, Byrd looks good getting off the bus. But he failed to inspire during a two-year stint with the Cardinals and will merely battle for the No. 5 job in Dallas. Cole Beasley and Dwayne Harris are penciled in behind Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams.

Free agent WR LaRon Byrd will visit the Cowboys Thursday.

Byrd left his Tuesday visit with the Giants without a deal. Now the two-year veteran with one career catch heads to Dallas, where Dwayne Harris and Cole Beasley are the primary receivers behind starters Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams.

Free agent WR LaRon Byrd will work out for the Giants on Tuesday.

Byrd, 24, wasn't having a great summer before suffering a concussion in July and spending the season on injured reserve. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound product from Miami (FL) turned heads two camps ago and tends to look good in shorts.

Cardinals waived WR LaRon Byrd and LB Dan Giordano.

Byrd missed all of last season with a concussion, while Giordano likely would have been no more than a camp body. Both guys figure to clear waivers.

Cardinals waived/injured WR LaRon Byrd.

Byrd suffered a concussion early in camp. He'll be placed on injured reserve if/when he clears waivers. Byrd made waves as an undrafted rookie last offseason, but ended up catching just one pass in four games. He also failed to impress new coach Bruce Arians in OTAs. Whatever little Dynasty league value Byrd had should be considered gone.

Cardinals WR LaRon Byrd is sidelined with a concussion.

It's not good news for a player called out by coach Bruce Arians in minicamp. Fighting for one of the Cardinals' final receiver spots, Byrd caught just one pass in four games as an undrafted rookie last season.

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians indicated that he was disappointed in second-year WR LaRon Byrd's performance at OTAs.

Byrd drew Larry Fitzgerald comparisons at minicamp last year, but went on to appear in just four games and catch one pass. "Not really, to be honest," Arians said when asked if Byrd has continued to make strides. "He had a couple nice catches that were unbelievable throws. He’s too inconsistent right now. He has talent and a good future, but he’s got to get more consistent."

Undrafted rookie WR LaRon Byrd "turned heads" during Cardinals minicamp.

According to the Arizona Republic, Byrd "reminded some observers of (Larry) Fitzgerald with his jumping ability and sure-handedness." Byrd checks in at an NFL-ready 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, and ran a 4.45 40-yard dash at Miami's Pro Day. Arizona's receiver corps is exceptionally crowded, however. Byrd should have an excellent chance at a spot on the practice squad.
