He'll probably only be on the roster for a week while Roy Williams serves his suspension. There's a good chance Crockett will be inactive at Carolina.

This means B.J. Askew is healthy again. Crockett, 35, was inactive for the one game he was on the Bucs' roster and may call it quits in the offseason.

Crockett lasted two weeks Tampa Bay and had just one carry. The team is expected to sign Cal product Byron Storer, who they released off their practice squad last week, to take his place.

NFL Network's Adam Shefter reports Bucs signed FB Zack Crockett.

Well, that's hardly an exciting pickup. Crockett is likely to fill a Mike Alstott-role in the offense, catching some passes and getting some short-yardage carries. This signing is great news for Earnest Graham owners - less competition for carries.

It's only a surprise that he lasted this long. For some reason, the Raiders previously had Crockett signed through 2010. He will turn 35 in December.

Zack Crockett isn't expected to be in the Raiders' plans for 2007.

Oakland has replaced him with Justin Griffith, who plays the same H back-type position. The 34-year-old Crockett could opt for retirement.

Zack Crockett ran once for five yards in Week 16. He caught one pass for zero yards as the Raiders dropped to 2-13 Saturday night.

Crockett was used in short yardage, ReShard Lee played on third downs, and Justin Fargas took everything else. Ah, clarity. A new coaching staff could very well mean the end of Crockett's stay in Oakland.

Crockett’s second touch resulted in a fumble on Oakland’s most promising drive of the game late in the third quarter. His first went for a loss of one. Oakland's coaching is the worst in the league.

He'll be added as questionable on Friday. Crockett did not receive a carry last week after it appeared he had emerged as a key player in Oakland's running back committee. His status is uncertain for Sunday.

Crockett carried down to the one in the second quarter but was replaced by ReShard Lee on the stripe. He's definitely going to be a part of Oakland's running back committee moving forward but brings no upside to the table.

Maybe Raiders coach Art Shell likes Crockett so much because Zack is so close to him in age. Crockett is stealing touches from LaMont Jordan.

FB Zack Crockett rushed three times for seven yards in Week 8 against Pittsburgh.

Much like Week 7, Crockett started Sunday in place of RB LaMont Jordan, got several carries in the first series, and then rarely touched the ball after that. With RB Justin Fargas the clear second option and Jordan potentially back at full strength, Crockett's fantasy stock has completely dried up.

FB Zack Crockett carried eight times for 44 yards and caught three passes for 20 yards in Week 7 against Arizona.

With RB LaMont Jordan (back) out, Crockett saw quite a bit of work in the running game early before giving way to RB Justin Fargas. He could have decent fantasy value if Jordan misses extended time, because he figures to see at least a half-dozen carries per game and get goal-line touches.
