CSN Bay Area's Scott Bair observed that Rod Streater appeared to have his explosiveness back during spring practices.
Streater missed all but three games with a broken foot that required surgery last season. He's back to 100 percent and appeared to be leading the way as the No. 3 receiver behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree at OTAs and minicamp. Andre Holmes and Kenbrell Thompkins are competing for the No. 4 gig. Jun 23 - 3:33 PM

ESPN Raiders reporter Bill Williamson believes Rod Streater will emerge as the No. 3 wide receiver behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree.

Streater posted a solid 60-888-4 line in 2013, but was limited to just three games after suffering a fractured foot early last season. Though Crabtree is a much bigger name, he has been woefully ineffective since tearing his Achilles' two years ago. It is not unthinkable Streater or Andre Holmes earns a bigger role than Crabtree this season.

Raiders re-signed restricted free agent WR Rod Streater to a one-year, $2.356 million contract.

The Raiders gave Streater a second-round tender, which meant there was no shot he'd get an offer sheet from another team. It spoke to how high the franchise is on him, especially considering they only gave Andre Holmes a low tender. Per CSN Bay Area, Streater is "in terrific shape" following last season's nasty fractured foot and "is expected to play a significant role in this year's passing game." He'll be part of a committee for Derek Carr featuring James Jones, Holmes and a rookie.

Raiders extended a second-round tender to WR Rod Streater.

The second-round tender will pay $2.356 million. Streater was limited to three games last season after suffering a fractured foot early in the season. Streater posted a 60/888/4 line in his "breakout" 2013 campaign and will have a good shot to carve out a role in the Raiders' depleted wide receiver corps.

Rod Streater (foot) will not return this season.

The Raiders placed Streater on I.R./recall in Week 3. He had a setback this week and won't be activated. Oakland will move forward with Andre Holmes, James Jones, and Brice Butler as their top three wideouts.

The Raiders are not expected to activate Rod Streater (foot) from injured reserve/designated to return this season.

Streater has been sidelined since Week 3, and the Raiders apparently don't want to push the envelope by bringing him back for their meaningless final three games. An impending restricted free agent, Streater should be back with the Silver and Black in 2015, but he's not a compelling dynasty-league option thanks to the Raiders' uncertain situations at receiver and quarterback.

Rod Streater (foot) will not be activated for Sunday's game against the 49ers.

Streater is expected to return in Week 15. He's now missed 10 games on I.R./recall.

Rod Streater (foot, I.R./recall) will not be activated for Sunday's game against the Rams.

Streater has resumed practicing, but isn't ready to return. The San Francisco Chronicle expects him back next week.

Rod Streater (foot surgery, I.R./designated to return) has resumed practicing.

The Raiders now have three weeks to activate Streater. It's unclear if they plan to do so for Week 13, but Streater was reportedly looking good at Monday's practice. Streater's return would further muddle what's become one of the league's most unpredictable receiver corps. At best, Streater would be a WR4 with Derek Carr under center.

Raiders placed WR Rod Streater (foot surgery) on injured reserve/designated to return.

Streater can resume practicing in six weeks, but won't be eligible to return until the Raiders visit the Rams in Week 13. Before landing on I.R./return, Streater wasn't expected back until Week 10 at the earliest. He had screws inserted in his foot last week. Streater is safely droppable in all re-draft leagues.

Rod Streater (foot surgery) will not be back until Week 10 at the earliest.

Streater now has screws in his fractured foot. The Week 10 target is a best-case scenario, with missing the entire season still a possibility. Denarius Moore is also in the doghouse due to poor play, leaving James Jones, Andre Holmes, Vincent Brown and Brice Butler as the top-four wideouts.

Raiders coach Dennis Allen isn't sure if Rod Streater (foot surgery) will return this season.

It was reported Wednesday that Streater's "minor" surgery would only sideline him 4-5 weeks, but it's clear it could be longer. Streater could become a candidate for injured reserve in the near future. He can be safely dropped in re-draft leagues.

According to ESPN Raiders reporter Bill Williamson, Rod Streater (foot) needs "minor" surgery and will miss 4-5 weeks.

It suggests Streater has avoided the dreaded Lisfranc injury, so that's a glimmer of good news. On the other side of the coin, foot injuries have proven troublesome time and again for receivers. Streater caught 9-of-13 targets for 84 yards and one touchdown in 2.5 games before getting hurt. James Jones, Denarius Moore, and Andre Holmes will make up Oakland's three-wide set.

Rod Streater fractured his foot in Sunday's Week 3 loss at New England.

It's a terrible injury for a wideout, as we've previously seen with Aaron Dobson, Julio Jones and Marvin Jones. Depending on how bad the break is, Streater will be out anywhere from a month to the rest of the season. Look for Andre Holmes and Denarius Moore to rotate opposite James Jones in the Raiders' poor passing attack.

Rod Streater was forced from Sunday's Week 3 game against the Patriots with a foot injury.

He's done for the day. Streater was also dealing with a hip injury coming into the game. Andre Holmes and Denarius Moore will see an increase in targets.
