Raiders placed WR Rod Streater (foot surgery) on injured reserve/designated to return.
Streater can resume practicing in six weeks, but won't be eligible to return until the Raiders visit the Rams in Week 13. Before landing on I.R./return, Streater wasn't expected back until Week 10 at the earliest. He had screws inserted in his foot last week. Streater is safely droppable in all re-draft leagues. Date:

Rod Streater (foot surgery) will not be back until Week 10 at the earliest.

Streater now has screws in his fractured foot. The Week 10 target is a best-case scenario, with missing the entire season still a possibility. Denarius Moore is also in the doghouse due to poor play, leaving James Jones, Andre Holmes, Vincent Brown and Brice Butler as the top-four wideouts.

Raiders coach Dennis Allen isn't sure if Rod Streater (foot surgery) will return this season.

It was reported Wednesday that Streater's "minor" surgery would only sideline him 4-5 weeks, but it's clear it could be longer. Streater could become a candidate for injured reserve in the near future. He can be safely dropped in re-draft leagues.
Sep 25 - 6:12 PM

According to ESPN Raiders reporter Bill Williamson, Rod Streater (foot) needs "minor" surgery and will miss 4-5 weeks.

It suggests Streater has avoided the dreaded Lisfranc injury, so that's a glimmer of good news. On the other side of the coin, foot injuries have proven troublesome time and again for receivers. Streater caught 9-of-13 targets for 84 yards and one touchdown in 2.5 games before getting hurt. James Jones, Denarius Moore, and Andre Holmes will make up Oakland's three-wide set.
Sep 24 - 12:08 PM

Rod Streater fractured his foot in Sunday's Week 3 loss at New England.

It's a terrible injury for a wideout, as we've previously seen with Aaron Dobson, Julio Jones and Marvin Jones. Depending on how bad the break is, Streater will be out anywhere from a month to the rest of the season. Look for Andre Holmes and Denarius Moore to rotate opposite James Jones in the Raiders' poor passing attack.
Sep 21 - 4:16 PM

Rod Streater was forced from Sunday's Week 3 game against the Patriots with a foot injury.

He's done for the day. Streater was also dealing with a hip injury coming into the game. Andre Holmes and Denarius Moore will see an increase in targets.
Sep 21 - 1:54 PM

Rod Streater (hip) is listed as questionable for Week 3.

Streater returned to a limited practice Friday and is likely going to be a game-time decision. Andre Holmes and Denarius Moore would see an increase in targets if Streater doesn't play this week.
Sep 19 - 6:32 PM

Rod Streater (hip) remained out of Raiders practice Thursday.

The Raiders haven't updated Streater's status, so all we have to go on is his practice reports. They suggest he won't suit up against Darrelle Revis and company on Sunday. Owners need to be making other WR4/5 plans.
Sep 18 - 3:06 PM

Rod Streater (hip) did not practice Wednesday.

Streater suffered a hip flexor in the Week 2 loss and underwent an MRI on Monday. The Raiders like to keep injury news close to the vest, so we're not expecting to hear much on Streater before the weekend. Consider him questionable.
Sep 17 - 3:00 PM

Rod Streater underwent an MRI on his hip flexor injury on Monday.

The Raiders are giving no details on the results. They like to pretend to be the Patriots when it comes to injury information, but are really a minor league-caliber team. Ironically, Oakland travels to New England this week.
Sep 15 - 5:24 PM

Rod Streater suffered a hip flexor injury in Sunday's Week 2 loss to the Texans.

Streater's departure allowed Andre Holmes (5-45-0 on seven targets) and Denarius Moore (3-29-0 on five targets) to get some extra run. The severity of Streater's injury is unknown right now.

Sep 14 - 10:28 PM

Rod Streater caught 1-of-3 targets for six yards in the Raiders' Week 2 loss to the Texans.

The stat line wasn't promising on a day where rookie Derek Carr fired off over 40 attempts. Streater doesn't offer much upside even when he gets healthy doses of targets. He's nothing more than a WR5 in fantasy leagues.
Sep 14 - 8:19 PM

Rod Streater caught five passes for 46 yards and one touchdown in the Raiders' Week 1 loss to the Jets.

Streater led the team in catches and yards while seeing a team-high seven targets. The Raiders kept it easy for Derek Carr, limiting him to high-percentage throws in the short-to-intermediate levels. That's where Streater makes his money. On his touchdown, Streater turned a flat route into a 12-yard score to put the Raiders up 7-3 in the first quarter. If Streater isn't scoring touchdowns, then there really isn't much upside. He's a WR4/5.
Sep 7 - 5:31 PM

Rod Streater had one catch for 16 yards in Friday's preseason game against the Packers.

Streater started opposite James Jones and played just about every snap with Matt Schaub. Of course, that's not a high-upside role as Schaub has looked just as bad this preseason as he did in '13 when he got benched for Case Keenum. Streater has played 20+ snaps in all three preseason games so far, yet has just three catches for 24 yards and no touchdowns. There's almost no upside here.
Aug 22 - 11:48 PM

Raiders WR Rod Streater (concussion) has been cleared for contact.

Streater was concussed over the weekend. He missed a few practices, but returned on a limited basis Wednesday and will reenter live drills on Thursday. Streater is competing for the starting wideout job opposite James Jones.
