Rod Streater pulled in six catches for 63 yards and a touchdown on seven targets Saturday in the 49ers' Week 16 win over the Rams.
Five of his six grabs came in the second half. Streater trimmed the Rams’ lead to one with 31 seconds remaining. San Francisco later took the lead back on a two-point conversion by Colin Kaepernick. Streater has drawn 10 targets with Torrey Smith (concussion) sidelined the last two weeks and has scored in both contests. Streater and the Niners will close out the season next week at home against Seattle. Sat, Dec 24, 2016 08:36:00 PM

Rod Streater believes he's a good fit for the 49ers' offense.

"It’s a little more up-tempo," said Streater. "It's all really good offense. I feel like I fit here." Streater arrived in a trade from Kansas City last weekend. Injuries have limited Streater to just four games over his last two seasons. Game flow could force the Niners to pass late in games, though it's unlikely Streater will be much of a fantasy factor.

49ers acquired WR Rod Streater and a conditional 2019 seventh-round pick from the Chiefs in exchange for a conditional 2019 seventh-round pick.

The draft picks being exchanged are certainly late-rounders. Streater got injured in Oakland and disappeared during the 2015 season, losing his No. 3 job to Seth Roberts. He wasn't making much noise in Kansas City, either, but the talentless 49ers are taking a shot after losing slot man Bruce Ellington to I.R. Streater is a candidate to take over the inside job in San Francisco.

Rod Streater has "looked great" filling in for Albert Wilson.

Streater has been getting first-team reps with Wilson sidelined. He’s in the driver seat for Kansas City’s No. 4 receiver job. Streater could overtake Wilson with a strong preseason.

Chiefs signed WR Rod Streater, formerly of the Raiders, to a one-year deal "worth up to" $4.8 million.

Streater took visits with the Patriots and Jets, but his best shot at a roster spot was with the Chiefs. A seemingly ascending receiver before spending all of 2015 as a healthy scratch, Streater has a good shot to crack Kansas City's thin receiver corps.

Free agent WR Rod Streater is visiting the Chiefs Saturday.

He was linked with the Kansas City earlier this week. The Chiefs need depth at receiver, and Streater looked like a promising possession guy before spending most of 2015 as a healthy scratch. He has also visited the Patriots and Jets.

Free agent WR Rod Streater is visiting the Patriots on Thursday.

Streater is also expected to visit the Jets, but that won't happen if the Patriots make him an offer first. Streater played 10 snaps in Week 1 last season but didn't play a single down thereafter as he tumbled down to the bottom of the depth chart. He's still just 28 and is a technician in the short area.

Free agent Rod Streater will visit the Jets on Friday.

The ex-Raider has also been linked to the Chiefs. Streater spent most of 2015 as a healthy scratch, but teams evidently like the film they've been digging into. The Jets lack proven depth behind Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker.

The Kansas City Star reports the Chiefs are interested in free agent Rod Streater.

Streater disappeared for the Raiders last season, spending most of the year as a healthy scratch. The Chiefs have one of the league's thinnest receiver corps, but Streater would be a depth signing who isn't guaranteed to crack the 53-man roster if he ends up in Kansas City.

Raiders declared WR Rod Streater, CB Dexter McDonald, TE Gabe Holmes, CB SaQwan Edwards, DB Tevin McDonald, LB John Lotulelei and OL Matt McCants inactive for Week 17 against the Chiefs.

There are no surprises here. Streater will enter free agency after spending most of 2015 as a healthy scratch.

Rod Streater caught three passes for 20 yards in the Raiders' third preseason game.

Streater got off to a slow start at training camp, but he mixed in with the ones during Oakland's third preseason game, operating as the No. 3 wideout behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree. The Raiders are expected to primarily run a shotgun/three-wide offense. If they do, Streater should be a regular alongside Cooper and Crabtree in three-receiver packages.
