Rod Streater caught three passes for 20 yards in the Raiders' third preseason game.
Streater got off to a slow start at training camp, but he mixed in with the ones during Oakland's third preseason game, operating as the No. 3 wideout behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree. The Raiders are expected to primarily run a shotgun/three-wide offense. If they do, Streater should be a regular alongside Cooper and Crabtree in three-receiver packages. Aug 30 - 10:58 PM

Date:

Raiders activated WR Rod Streater from the active/PUP list.

He missed the first two-plus weeks of training camp with an undisclosed illness. Streater is a versatile player capable of handling any of the three wide receiver positions. He should be the heavy favorite to open the season as Oakland's No. 3 receiver, behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree.

Rod Streater is reportedly still on the Raiders' active/NFI list due to an "illness."

ESPN's Adam Caplan reports Streater "lost some weight" due to the illness, which remains undisclosed. Caplan says Streater will come off the list "as soon as he's back to full strength." Streater is the favorite to handle third receiver duties in Oakland, but is missing valuable reps in a new offense.

Raiders WR Rod Streater (undisclosed) still has not participated in training camp.

As indicated above, Streater's injury has yet to be disclosed. He's been on the active/NFI list for nine days now. Streater led the Raiders in receiving in 2013, before missing almost all of 2014 with a fractured foot. When Streater returns, he'll vie for third receiver snaps behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree. At this point, Streater poses no threat to Crabtree's starting job.
Aug 9 - 2:26 PM

Raiders placed WR Rod Streater on the active/NFI list.

Streater reportedly looked healthy and explosive at spring practices, coming off last year's fractured foot. So his placement on the NFI list is a surprise. Typically in these cases, the player failed his conditioning test.
Jul 31 - 2:51 PM

CSN Bay Area's Scott Bair observed that Rod Streater appeared to have his explosiveness back during spring practices.

Streater missed all but three games with a broken foot that required surgery last season. He's back to 100 percent and appeared to be leading the way as the No. 3 receiver behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree at OTAs and minicamp. Andre Holmes and Kenbrell Thompkins are competing for the No. 4 gig.
Jun 23 - 3:33 PM

ESPN Raiders reporter Bill Williamson believes Rod Streater will emerge as the No. 3 wide receiver behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree.

Streater posted a solid 60-888-4 line in 2013, but was limited to just three games after suffering a fractured foot early last season. Though Crabtree is a much bigger name, he has been woefully ineffective since tearing his Achilles' two years ago. It is not unthinkable Streater or Andre Holmes earns a bigger role than Crabtree this season.

Raiders re-signed restricted free agent WR Rod Streater to a one-year, $2.356 million contract.

The Raiders gave Streater a second-round tender, which meant there was no shot he'd get an offer sheet from another team. It spoke to how high the franchise is on him, especially considering they only gave Andre Holmes a low tender. Per CSN Bay Area, Streater is "in terrific shape" following last season's nasty fractured foot and "is expected to play a significant role in this year's passing game." He'll be part of a committee for Derek Carr featuring James Jones, Holmes and a rookie.
Apr 9 - 8:02 AM

Raiders extended a second-round tender to WR Rod Streater.

The second-round tender will pay $2.356 million. Streater was limited to three games last season after suffering a fractured foot early in the season. Streater posted a 60/888/4 line in his "breakout" 2013 campaign and will have a good shot to carve out a role in the Raiders' depleted wide receiver corps.

Rod Streater (foot) will not return this season.

The Raiders placed Streater on I.R./recall in Week 3. He had a setback this week and won't be activated. Oakland will move forward with Andre Holmes, James Jones, and Brice Butler as their top three wideouts.

The Raiders are not expected to activate Rod Streater (foot) from injured reserve/designated to return this season.

Streater has been sidelined since Week 3, and the Raiders apparently don't want to push the envelope by bringing him back for their meaningless final three games. An impending restricted free agent, Streater should be back with the Silver and Black in 2015, but he's not a compelling dynasty-league option thanks to the Raiders' uncertain situations at receiver and quarterback.

Rod Streater (foot) will not be activated for Sunday's game against the 49ers.

Streater is expected to return in Week 15. He's now missed 10 games on I.R./recall.

Rod Streater (foot, I.R./recall) will not be activated for Sunday's game against the Rams.

Streater has resumed practicing, but isn't ready to return. The San Francisco Chronicle expects him back next week.

Rod Streater (foot surgery, I.R./designated to return) has resumed practicing.

The Raiders now have three weeks to activate Streater. It's unclear if they plan to do so for Week 13, but Streater was reportedly looking good at Monday's practice. Streater's return would further muddle what's become one of the league's most unpredictable receiver corps. At best, Streater would be a WR4 with Derek Carr under center.
Mon, Nov 24, 2014 03:17:00 PM

Raiders placed WR Rod Streater (foot surgery) on injured reserve/designated to return.

Streater can resume practicing in six weeks, but won't be eligible to return until the Raiders visit the Rams in Week 13. Before landing on I.R./return, Streater wasn't expected back until Week 10 at the earliest. He had screws inserted in his foot last week. Streater is safely droppable in all re-draft leagues.
