Sebastian Janikowski is now just 15-of-22 on field goals this season.
Janikowski missed two more big ones against the Titans in Week 12 and his 68.2 conversion rate is by far the worst of his career. He's also missed twice from inside 40 yards this season, a spot in which he's made 85-of-86 across the previous five campaigns. "We're not making them, not consistently enough," said coach Dennis Allen. "We have to continue to work to get better there." Janikowski has a big name, but he's not a fantasy option while struggling in an inconsistent Raiders offense. Mon, Nov 25, 2013 08:40:00 AM

Sebastian Janikowski missed practice Wednesday due to a rib injury.

Janikowski will probably be fine for Sunday's game at the Giants, but the Raiders offense isn't affording him enough opportunities. He has a grand total of 13 field goal attempts in eight games.

Raiders K Sebastian Janikowski (calf) is listed as probable for Week 1.

"Seabass is going to play," confirms beat writer Scott Bair. "No concerns."

Sebastian Janikowski (calf) missed Raiders practice Wednesday.

Janikowski is dealing with a right -- plant leg -- calf issue. Coach Dennis Allen said he'll be ready to kick against the Colts. The Raiders' offense may not even get in position to where they'll need Janikowski on Sunday.

Raiders signed K Sebastian Janikowski to a four-year, $15.2 million extension through 2017.

Because Janikowski was signed through 2013 at $3.8 million, the new deal is essentially worth $19 million over five years, with $8 million in guarantees. Janikowski turned 35 in March, but nailed 31-of-34 field goal attempts last season as the Raiders' premier offensive weapon. He went 31-of-35 the year before. "Seabass" is annually a fantasy factor because the Raiders let him try especially long, 50-plus-yard field goals. The new contract will almost certainly ensure Janikowski finishes his career in Oakland.

Sebastian Janikowski said he wants to finish his career with the Raiders.

Janikowski is entering the final year of four-year, $16 million contract. He's 35 now, but believes he can kick for another 7-8 years. Janikowski set a career-high accuracy mark on field goals last season at 91.2 percent. He was 6-of-9 from 50-plus yards out.

Coach Dennis Allen said it's a "comforting feeling" for him to know he can count on three points anytime the offense gets across the 50-yard line.

Sebastian Janikowski is 29-of-32 on the year, with his three misses coming from 51, 61 and 64 yards out. It's another Pro Bowl caliber year for SeaBass, who remains a potent weapon for owners that get rewarded for long field goals. Over the last four years, he's made 23-of-34 kicks from 50-plus.

Coach Dennis Allen said Sebastian Janikowski's sore groin was not the reason he passed on a 58-yard field-goal attempt in Week 6.

Allen apparently believes the first half of a 0-0 game is too early to unleash Janikowski's mammoth leg even though the game was in a dome. It's not a great sign for SeaBass' fantasy value. Through five games, he is just 2-of-2 from 50-plus yards after going 7-of-10 from that distance last season.

Raiders K Sebastian Janikowski (groin) was limited in Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Week 3.

The Raiders are trying to be deceptive on the injury report ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Steelers, listing eight guys as "limited/questionable." Janikowski suffered the injury in Oakland's third preseason game and has been fine the first two weeks of the season. Trot him out as your fantasy kicker.

Sebastian Janikowski (groin) will kick in Monday's game against the Chargers.

Janikowski tweaked his groin while trying to make a tackle during the third preseason game. He's fully recovered from that and will be ready to go in the opener. Janikowski's powerful leg and the Raiders' propensity to get in shootouts make him a strong fantasy kicking option.

Sebastian Janikowski (groin) is fully expected to be ready for Week 1.

Janikowski hurt himself while trying to make a tackle on Saturday night. "He's a little tight, but it doesn't seem to be any real pull (or) defect in the muscle or anything like that, so I don't anticipate it being a big deal," coach Dennis Allen said. Janikowski is 3-of-5 on field goals through three preseason games.

Sebastian Janikowski was removed from the Raiders' third preseason game with a groin injury.

Janikowski was injured while attempting to make a tackle on a long kick return from Justin Miller. His return is officially "questionable," but it sounds like he won't be available for the Raiders' preseason finale, and this has the potential to impact his status for the regular season.

Sebastian Janikowski agreed to court-ordered anger management and substance abuse classes in connection with multiple misdemeanor charges from a 2010 nightclub incident.

Janikowski was originally charged with misdemeanor battery and false imprisonment after grabbing and shoving a woman. The court ordered him to stay away from the woman, but he won't face jail time. Janikowski should escape NFL discipline for the incident.
