The Cincinnati Enquirer's Jim Owczarski reports free agent LB Emmanuel Lamur is not expected to re-sign with the Bengals.

Owczarski reports the Lions, Vikings and Dolphins are interested. Lamur started 13 games two seasons ago, but was limited to 342 snaps last year before landing on injured reserve with a knee injury in January. He should have to compete for a role wherever he lands.

Bengals placed LB Emmanuel Lamur on injured reserve with a left knee injury, ending his season.

LB Trevor Roach has been promoted from the practice squad in a corresponding roster move. Lamur was carted off the field in the second quarter on Sunday. He played 342 ineffective snaps for the Bengals this season. Going on 27, Lamur is headed for free agency.

Bengals re-signed restricted free agent SLB Emmanuel Lamur to a one-year, $2.356 million contract.

The Bengals tendered Lamur at the second-round level, so no other team was going to part with a pick and pay Lamur. He appeared in 15 games last season, but graded out as PFF's 39th-ranked 4-3 outside linebacker out of 40 qualifiers. Lamur may face competition for his starting job this summer.

Bengals extended a second-round tender to restricted free agent SLB Emmanuel Lamur.

It's worth $2.356 million. Teams would have to surrender a second-round pick in order to sign Lamur away from the Bengals. We could see him drawing some interest as a tall, rangy, versatile linebacker, but ultimately nobody is going to want to pay him and give up the pick. He'll be back in Cincinnati.

Bengals SLB Emmanuel Lamur (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Week 16.

Lamur didn't practice all week due to his hamstring issue. Marquis Flowers will replace him on the strong side.

Bengals SLB Emmanuel Lamur (shoulder) practiced in full on Thursday, and is on track for Week 8.

Barring a setback, Lamur should be good to go against the Ravens. Tabbed as a potential breakout candidate before the season, Lamur has instead struggled, grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 31 (out of 32) 4-3 outside linebacker.

Bengals SLB Emmanuel Lamur (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's Week 7 game at Indy.

Lamur was never closet to playing in this one as he was listed "doubtful." Jayson DiManche starts in his place. A.J. Green (toe) is also out and remains week to week, as previously reported. The rest of the Bengals inactives: Chris Lewis-Harris, Rey Maualuga, Tanner Hawkinson, Will Clarke and Brandon Thompson.

Bengals SLB Emmanuel Lamur (shoulder) remained sidelined on Thursday.

Lamur's status for Week 7 is very much up in the air. If he's unable to play, expect Vincent Rey to get the start and play in the subpackages along with Vontaze Burfict.

Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official website reports teammates and coaches have "just been raving about" SLB Emmanuel Lamur this spring.

Lamur suffered a shoulder injury in the preseason finale last year and missed the entire season. Now healthy and bigger (6-foot-4, 243), Lamur is expected to take over on the strong side and play all three downs with WLB Vontaze Burfict. Hobson predicts a monster season and calls Lamur the Carlos Dunlap of the linebackers as a player capable of making "athletic, game-busting plays."

Emmanuel Lamur is expected to be the Bengals' starting strong-side linebacker.

Lamur missed all of last season with a shoulder injury and will be a big addition to the 2014 defense. At 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds, he's an athletic freak who can cover tight ends. New DC Paul Guenther loves Lamur, who is also a core special teams player. He and Vontaze Burfict could play every down, while MLB Rey Maualuga is in on early downs. Vincent Rey will back up at all three spots.

Bengals LB Emmanuel Lamur (shoulder) is expected to be ready for OTAs.

Lamur spent all of 2013 on injured reserve, but new DC Paul Guenther believes he has the ability to be an every-down linebacker. He's expected to see heavy snaps on passing downs. "He’s got good ball awareness in zone and he’s a good man-to-man guy," Guenther said. "He’s a guy you like to go to with everyone playing two tight ends. He’s tall and he can run with those guys and you don’t get caught in a mismatch." Still only 24 (in June), Lamur could play himself into a big role with a strong camp.

Bengals LB Emmanuel Lamur will miss the 2013 season with a shoulder injury.

Lamur was competing for playing time at outside linebacker and is also a core special teamer. Look for UDFA Jayson DiManche to make the Bengals.

Bengals OLB Emmanuel Lamur was carted off the field in Thursday night's preseason game with a shoulder injury.

Lamur is done for the night. The second-year athletic linebacker is one of the better backups on the roster. Lamur isn't much of a pass rusher, but he can drop into coverage and play the run. He and James Harrison will likely split reps at strong-side 'backer as long as Lamur's injury isn't a long-term issue.
Thu, Aug 29, 2013 07:47:00 PM believes second-year LB Emmanuel Lamur is headed for a "breakout" season.

An undrafted free agent out of Kansas State last season, Lamur was overshadowed by Vontaze Burfict, but acquitted himself well in 136 snaps on defense. All of his snaps came after Week 9. Lamur isn't in the mix for a starting job, but could be the Bengals' top reserve linebacker while featuring on special teams.
