The Packers believe TE Brandon Bostick's leg injury is a bruise.

He's day to day. Bostick tweeted he's "good" after Saturday night's injury scare. He remains in the hunt for Green Bay's "move" tight end position, battling rookie Richard Rodgers. Andrew Quarless is the Packers' in-line tight end.
Aug 17 - 5:06 PM

Packers TE Brandon Bostick tweeted late Saturday "no worries, I'm good" after exiting Green Bay's second preseason game with a lower-leg injury.

Coach Mike McCarthy should have an update soon, but it appears Bostick avoided a serious injury. It's good news because Bostick has struggled with myriad injuries to this point in his career. Bostick secured his lone target for nine yards in Saturday's exhibition clash with the Rams. He sounds day to day.

Brandon Bostick exited Saturday's preseason game against the Rams with a lower leg injury and will not return.

Bostick entered on the second series with the first-team offense, but played behind Richard Rodgers for the second consecutive week. Bostick reeled in his lone target for nine yards. The Packers should provide an update after the game.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel says "don't be surprised to see the Packers use a bevy of tight ends in more specified roles this season," hinting at a possible committee approach.

The Packers have seven tight ends in camp, and outside of injured UDFA TE Colt Lyerla (knee), all are competing for a role. Brandon Bostick is having his strongest camp to date and is being referred to by some as "Jermichael Finley Light" due to his speed and athleticism. Third-round rookie Richard Rodgers has drawn praise from Aaron Rodgers for his consistency. Andrew Quarless and Ryan Taylor are blocking specialists. We like Bostick the most of the bunch, and the coaches want to increase his role. He's merely a late-round flier.
Aug 13 - 3:15 PM

Brandon Bostick saw increased reps with the starting offense in Monday's practice.

Bostick is the most dynamic playmaker in the Packers' tight end group, and beat writer Rob Demovsky believes Bostick might be a "ready-made" replacement for Jermichael Finley. Bostick played behind Andrew Quarless and rookie Richard Rodgers in the preseason opener. Coach Mike McCarthy said the three will continue to rotate. Things are far from settled at tight end in Green Bay, but it's hard to ignore the athleticism Bostick brings to the position. Bostick, 25, ran 4.59 with a 36-inch vertical and 10-foot-1 broad jump at his 2012 Pro Day. Those are very good numbers for a 6-foot-3, 250-pound tight end.

Aug 12 - 11:04 AM

Brandon Bostick had one catch for 24 yards in Saturday night's preseason opener against the Titans.

Bostick played behind Richard Rodgers and Andrew Quarless. He made an impressive play on the ball on his lone target, and also drew a defensive-holding penalty. Bostick was set back by a foot injury that cost him the majority of OTAs, but will continue to push for the Packers' starting tight end job.
Aug 9 - 10:57 PM

Brandon Bostick worked mostly with the Packers' starting offense on Wednesday.

Third-round rookie TE Richard Rodgers drew all the hype during the spring, but that partly had to do with Bostick being sidelined as he recovered from foot surgery. Now healthy, Bostick is getting the bulk of the reps with the ones. By all accounts, he's looked impressive. Bostick capped off a two-minute drill with a fourth-down touchdown to close out practice Wednesday. The best athlete of the bunch at tight end in Green Bay, Bostick needs to be watched closely.
Jul 30 - 12:08 PM

Brandon Bostick has been working on being a more complete tight end.

A converted receiver, Bostick was talked up by Mike McCarthy as the Packers' best blocking tight end earlier this offseason. He missed the majority of OTAs recovering from foot surgery, and has fallen behind Richard Rodgers and Andrew Quarless on the depth chart. Bostick will be fully cleared for camp.

Jul 12 - 2:31 PM

Packers TE Brandon Bostick reported to OTAs weighing 270 pounds, more than the team would like.

Bostick broke his foot last December and couldn't condition optimally for most of the offseason. "I have to get my weight under control, come back and my goal is to be the starter," said 25-year-old Bostick, who wants to get down to 6'3/260. A former 230-pound Division-2 wide receiver, Bostick is battling Andrew Quarless and rookie Richard Rodgers for Green Bay's starting tight end job.
Jun 25 - 8:42 PM

Packers TE Brandon Bostick participated in OTAs Tuesday for the first time since December foot surgery.

A former college basketball player dripping with athletic upside, Bostick will now have a chance to climb the depth chart. Jermichael Finley (neck surgery) remains a free agent and Andrew Quarless/Richard Rodgers have "just a guy" kind of ability. Bostick is a Dynasty stash as we wait to see if he can shed a "raw" label.

Jun 11 - 10:35 AM

Brandon Bostick (foot surgery) was not participating in OTAs last week.

Bostick sustained the injury in Week 15 last year. He's expected to be fine for camp, at which point he'll try to emerge from a muddled tight end depth chart. Bostick has the athleticism edge on Andrew Quarless and Richard Rodgers, but needs to improve as a blocker. Bostick's ceiling is likely as a passing-down specialist.
Jun 2 - 11:27 AM

Coach Mike McCarthy called Brandon Bostick the Packers' best blocking tight end.

"That is something he had to grow into, develop into," McCarthy said. "I look at him as still a young, ascending player. He's doing some really good things in his limited opportunities on offense." McCarthy also named Bostick one of the core special teamers. With Jermichael Finley not expected back, McCarthy mentioned Bostick and Andrew Quarless as potential significant contributors on offense.

Mar 26 - 2:00 PM

The Packers are "excited" to "take a greater look" at TE Brandon Bostick.

Jermichael Finley and Andrew Quarless are both free agents. Bostick is rehabbing from a broken foot, but is expected to be ready for the offseason program and needs to be on the radar in all deeper Dynasty leagues. The Newberry College product is going to get a chance to be the Packers' pass-catching tight end of the future.
Jan 22 - 10:59 AM

Brandon Bostick (foot) is expected to be ready for the offseason program.

Bostick broke the fifth metatarsal bone in his foot Week 13. He'll be in a boot for two more weeks and then do four weeks of rehab. Bostick, an athletic pass catching tight end, is an interesting name for Dynasty leaguers to keep tabs on with Andrew Quarless and Jermichael Finley both unrestricted free agents.
