Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said D.J. Fluker will play right guard.
It is where Fluker lined up when healthy last season with the Giants. Fluker is unlikely to shine in pass protection, but he should help upgrade the rushing attack. Replacing RT Germain Ifedi would also help the line, but it does not appear as if that is in the Seahawks' plans. Apr 2 - 11:54 AM

Seahawks signed OG D.J. Fluker, formerly of the Giants, to a one-year contract.

Fluker began his career at tackle but has spent the last three seasons playing exclusively at right guard. He struggled to stay healthy in his lone year with the Giants, missing most of the second half with a toe injury. The former first-round pick has consistently earned negative marks from ProFootballFocus but brings solid starting experience at a position of need for Seattle.

Free agent OG D.J. Fluker will visit the Seahawks on Thursday.

Fluker drew a handful of starts at right guard last season before a toe injury landed him on I.R. Seattle needs all the help it can get on the offensive line, but Fluker wouldn't be much of an improvement.

Giants placed RG D.J. Fluker (toe) on injured reserve, ending his season.

He was one of four Giants players to hit I.R. on Monday, joining LBs Deonte Skinner (hamstring) and Curtis Grant (knee), as well as CB Donte Deayon (forearm). Signed to a one-year, prove-it deal worth $3 million last March, Fluker shined as a run blocker but struggled in pass protection, which has been par for the course in his career. He will enter free agency at age 27.

Giants RG D.J. Fluker (toe) is not expected to play Thursday against Washington.

It leaves an offensive line which is already missing RT Justin Pugh (back) and C Weston Richburg (concussion, injured reserve) even thinner. Jon Halapio will likely get the start with Fluker sidelined. John Greco, who was just signed last week, is another option.

Giants RG D.J. Fluker (knee) questionable in Week 7 against the Seahawks.

Fluker was a late addition to the injury report but is still expected to play. PFF has Fluker as the lowest graded starting offensive lineman on the Giants.

The Giants will start D.J. Fluker at right guard Week 4 against the Bucs.

A five-year starter in San Diego, Fluker spent the first three games as a backup. He's replacing Bobby Hart, who's graded as one of the worst tackles in the league and is dealing with an ankle injury. Justin Pugh will move to right tackle, with Fluker and John Jerry playing inside. It's the third offensive line combination for the Giants in four weeks.

Speaking Tuesday, Giants coach Ben McAdoo said free agent addition D.J. Fluker could play either guard or tackle.

Fluker profiles best at guard, and that's where he's expected to start out. Nevertheless, with RG John Jerry back in the fold, McAdoo is taking a wait-and-see approach with his offensive line, even allowing for the possibility that LG Justin Pugh is shifted back to right tackle.

The Giants are expected to use D.J. Fluker at guard.

The Giants have an immediate opening at right guard, where free agent John Jerry started 17 games last season. Fluker began his career at right tackle but has played almost exclusively at guard the last two years. ESPN's Jordan Raanan suspects only center Weston Richburg and left guard Justin Pugh are assured of starting roles on New York's offensive line.

Giants signed OL D.J. Fluker to a one-year contract.

The deal is worth up to $3 million. Fluker hasn't lived up to his draft status, but he was one of the top remaining offensive linemen in free agency. He'll be an option for the Giants at both right guard and right tackle. Fluker struggled with run blocking last year but is a pass protection upgrade. Still only 26, Fluker will look to reestablish his value for a bigger contract next offseason.

Free agent OG D.J. Fluker is scheduled to visit the Giants.

ESPN Giants reporter Jordan Raanan has also heard the Patriots "have strong interest" in Fluker. Fluker has largely underachieved as the 11th overall pick in the 2013 draft, but he offers tackle-guard flexibility and is only 26 years old. At very worst, he could be a useful swing reserve in New York or Foxboro.

Chargers released RG D.J. Fluker.

The Chargers picked up Fluker's fifth-year option last April, but they clearly do not still think he is worth the $8.821 million he was owed in 2017. Fluker now heads into a surprisingly strong guard market, although it is possible teams give him a look at right tackle, which is where he began his career. ESPN's Josina Anderson reports the Saints, Lions, Seahawks, Colts, Vikings, Giants, Cardinals, and Falcons could show interest. This may just be the first cut as the Chargers look to remake their offensive line. (Again.)

Chargers RG D.J. Fluker (foot) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice.

Fluker had a scare when he suffered a foot injury last month but obviously he's in no danger of missing Week 1. The 25-year-old is hoping for a bounce-back year after grading 68th out of 82 qualified guards on PFF last season.

Chargers RG D.J. Fluker (foot) will resume practicing this week.

It puts Fluker on track to start Sunday's opener, though he's coming off an injury-marred 2015. Perhaps the Bolts will play it safe and hold him out.

Chargers RG D.J. Fluker's (foot) MRI came back negative.

It's good news, but Fluker remains week to week, and questionable for Week 1. The exact nature of Fluker's injury is still unclear. Fluker battled ankle issues in 2015.
