Rams hired ex-49ers coach Mike Singletary as a defensive advisor.
Singletary has been away from the game since he was let go as a Vikings assistant following the 2013 season when coach Leslie Frazier was fired. Prior to that, he was the 49ers' head coach from 2008-2010. Singletary's role with the Rams remains unclear, but he'll likely work with the linebackers and be an ear for new MLB Alec Ogletree, who is making the transition from the weak side.
