Stedman Bailey caught two passes for 22 yards in Sunday's Week 16 loss to the Giants.
Bailey saw just five targets compared to 11 for Kenny Britt and seven for Jared Cook. So his roller coaster ride over the last six weeks continues, which is what happens when you're a complementary receiver in a poor passing game headed by Shaun Hill. Date:

Stedman Bailey caught 5-of-8 targets for 74 yards in the Rams' Week 15 loss to the Cardinals.

It was a nice rebound from Bailey's no-show Week 14, but his most-important catch was one he didn't make. With 1:28 remaining, Shaun Hill threw a high pass on 3rd-and-3, but Bailey should have corralled it. The Rams turned it over on downs one play later. Bailey has earned himself a role for 2015, but he won't be on the WR3 radar against the Giants in Week 16.
Dec 12 - 12:13 AM

Stedman Bailey caught two passes for 47 yards in the Rams' Week 14 win over the Redskins.

He was targeted just the two times. Many were on the Bailey bandwagon after his first-quarter explosion against the Raiders last week, but the Rams' offense can only support one pass catcher. That was Jared Cook on Sunday. Bailey was stopped at the one-yard line on a 36-yard catch-and-run before Cook caught a touchdown on the next play. Bailey is more of a WR4/5. He'll do work against Patrick Peterson and Antonio Cromartie in Week 15.
Dec 7 - 5:35 PM

Stedman Bailey secured 5-of-6 targets for 100 yards in the Rams' Week 13 win over the Raiders.

He got all of his production in the first quarter. The Rams utilized Bailey as their featured passing-game weapon early on, and he ripped off chunk-yardage plays in the passing game. Once they got out to a comfortable lead, St. Louis took the air out of the ball, and Bailey finished with six targets. Bailey is suddenly on the WR3 map entering a Week 14 date with Washington.
Nov 30 - 5:00 PM

Stedman Bailey caught seven passes for 89 yards and one touchdown in the Rams' Week 12 loss to the Chargers.

Bailey and Jared Cook each saw a team-high nine targets. Bailey works the intermediate levels of the field and has a superb set of mitts, but he's not a field stretcher. His touchdown came from seven yards out late in the fourth quarter. Bailey is playing a prominent role on offense, but this passing game can't support more than one pass catcher. Bailey is a WR5 for Week 13 vs. Oakland.
Nov 23 - 8:04 PM

Stedman Bailey caught three passes for 26 yards in the Rams' Week 11 win over the Broncos.

He was targeted just the three times. Bailey's biggest grab went for a first down in double-coverage when he plucked the ball out of the air. The Rams don't pass enough for Bailey to be a fantasy factor.
Nov 16 - 5:44 PM

Stedman Bailey caught two passes for 33 yards in the Rams' Week 8 loss to the Chiefs.

Bailey was targeted three times after coming in for an injured Brian Quick (arm), who left early in the second quarter. He and Chris Givens would likely split time opposite Kenny Britt if Quick is to miss significant time. Bailey probably has the best hands on the team, but won't be anything more than a WR5.
Oct 26 - 5:49 PM

Stedman Bailey played 10-of-76 offensive snaps in his season debut last week against the Cowboys.

Bailey was reinstated from suspension early, but wasn't targeted in the passing game. Coach Jeff Fisher said he planned to have Bailey play more, but it didn't happen because of game flow. Bailey was arguably the Rams' best receiver during training camp outside of Brian Quick. He could push for increased snaps in Week 5 after the Rams' bye. Bailey has the best set of hands on the team.
Sep 26 - 10:57 AM

Stedman Bailey has been reinstated from suspension after the NFL and NFLPA agreed to an overhauled drug policy on Wednesday.

Bailey can return to the Rams' facility immediately and play in Sunday's Week 3 game against the Cowboys. Bailey has arguably the best pair of hands on the team and will be a welcome addition to a lackluster receiving group that isn't getting any production outside of Brian Quick. Bailey had a strong training camp and preseason. He'll be in the mix to start opposite Quick immediately.
Sep 17 - 11:02 AM

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms Rams WR Stedman Bailey will be among those reinstated under the league's new drug policy.

Per Schefter and colleague Chris Mortensen, the NFL and NFLPA hope to have a finalized agreement sometime in the next 24 hours. Also being reinstated would be Wes Welker, Cowboys CB Orlando Scandrick, Giants OL Eric Herman and free agent DE Spencer Nealy. Josh Gordon and free agent WR LaVon Brazill's season-long bans would be cut to 10 games. Bailey would provide immediate relief for a Rams receiver corps getting no production outside of Brian Quick.
Sep 15 - 5:05 PM

Suspended Rams WR Stedman Bailey is expected to be reinstated.

It's possible Bailey could play this week, but he's unlikely to be active without practicing. Bailey should eventually return to a situational role behind Brian Quick, Kenny Britt, and Tavon Austin.
Sep 12 - 8:53 PM

Stedman Bailey caught one pass for nine yards in Saturday's preseason game.

Bailey's lone target came early in the second quarter. The Rams pulled nearly all their important offensive players by halftime. Suspended for the first four weeks of the season, Bailey now has four catches for 61 yards through three preseason games. He should slide in as a situational chain mover after the Rams' Week 5 bye.
Aug 24 - 1:18 AM

According to ESPN Rams reporter Nick Wagoner, suspended WR Stedman Bailey has been "the most consistent wideout in camp."

Wagoner believes Bailey is "poised for a much bigger role upon his return;" he's suspended for the first four games of the season. Ideally, the Rams' top three-wideout set would involve Bailey at slot receiver with Brian Quick and Kenny Britt outside. Tavon Austin is a package player only. A better natural wideout than Austin, Bailey is someone to stash in deeper Dynasty leagues.

Aug 14 - 11:25 AM

Suspended WR Stedman Bailey caught a 24-yard touchdown in Friday night's preseason opener against the Saints.

Bailey was targeted three times, as he saw action with the ones, twos, and threes behind Kenny Britt and Brian Quick. On his score, Bailey beat rookie CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste. SJB simply failed to play the ball and get his head around, making it an easy score for Bailey. Bailey has strong hands and is an underrated red-zone threat despite his 5'10/193 frame. If he continues his strong summer, Bailey should have an offensive role when he returns from suspension after the Rams' Week 5 bye.
Aug 8 - 11:42 PM

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch believes second-year WR Stedman Bailey "looks poised for a breakout season."

Bailey, though, will be unavailable for the first four games as the result of a four-game suspension for PEDs. Throughout camp, Bailey, Kenny Britt, and Brian Quick have seen the bulk of the snaps at receiver on the outside. Chris Givens has primarily been running with the twos, and may be moved into more of a situation deep threat role. Bailey has the best set of hands on the team.
