Stedman Bailey has been reinstated from suspension after the NFL and NFLPA agreed to an overhauled drug policy on Wednesday.
Bailey can return to the Rams' facility immediately and play in Sunday's Week 3 game against the Cowboys. Bailey has arguably the best pair of hands on the team and will be a welcome addition to a lackluster receiving group that isn't getting any production outside of Brian Quick. Bailey had a strong training camp and preseason. He'll be in the mix to start opposite Quick immediately. Sep 17 - 11:02 AM

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms Rams WR Stedman Bailey will be among those reinstated under the league's new drug policy.

Per Schefter and colleague Chris Mortensen, the NFL and NFLPA hope to have a finalized agreement sometime in the next 24 hours. Also being reinstated would be Wes Welker, Cowboys CB Orlando Scandrick, Giants OL Eric Herman and free agent DE Spencer Nealy. Josh Gordon and free agent WR LaVon Brazill's season-long bans would be cut to 10 games. Bailey would provide immediate relief for a Rams receiver corps getting no production outside of Brian Quick.

Suspended Rams WR Stedman Bailey is expected to be reinstated.

It's possible Bailey could play this week, but he's unlikely to be active without practicing. Bailey should eventually return to a situational role behind Brian Quick, Kenny Britt, and Tavon Austin.
Sep 12 - 8:53 PM

Stedman Bailey caught one pass for nine yards in Saturday's preseason game.

Bailey's lone target came early in the second quarter. The Rams pulled nearly all their important offensive players by halftime. Suspended for the first four weeks of the season, Bailey now has four catches for 61 yards through three preseason games. He should slide in as a situational chain mover after the Rams' Week 5 bye.
Aug 24 - 1:18 AM

According to ESPN Rams reporter Nick Wagoner, suspended WR Stedman Bailey has been "the most consistent wideout in camp."

Wagoner believes Bailey is "poised for a much bigger role upon his return;" he's suspended for the first four games of the season. Ideally, the Rams' top three-wideout set would involve Bailey at slot receiver with Brian Quick and Kenny Britt outside. Tavon Austin is a package player only. A better natural wideout than Austin, Bailey is someone to stash in deeper Dynasty leagues.
Aug 14 - 11:25 AM

Suspended WR Stedman Bailey caught a 24-yard touchdown in Friday night's preseason opener against the Saints.

Bailey was targeted three times, as he saw action with the ones, twos, and threes behind Kenny Britt and Brian Quick. On his score, Bailey beat rookie CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste. SJB simply failed to play the ball and get his head around, making it an easy score for Bailey. Bailey has strong hands and is an underrated red-zone threat despite his 5'10/193 frame. If he continues his strong summer, Bailey should have an offensive role when he returns from suspension after the Rams' Week 5 bye.
Aug 8 - 11:42 PM

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch believes second-year WR Stedman Bailey "looks poised for a breakout season."

Bailey, though, will be unavailable for the first four games as the result of a four-game suspension for PEDs. Throughout camp, Bailey, Kenny Britt, and Brian Quick have seen the bulk of the snaps at receiver on the outside. Chris Givens has primarily been running with the twos, and may be moved into more of a situation deep threat role. Bailey has the best set of hands on the team.
Aug 4 - 11:45 AM

NFL suspended Rams WR Stedman Bailey four games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Per's Ian Rapoport, the Rams have known of Bailey's impending ban for "several months." It's despite that fact that they opted not to draft a single receiver. A third-round pick last season, Bailey started two of the Rams' final four games, finishing his rookie year with a 17/226/0 line. Bailey had an outside chance at earning a starting job in training camp, but will now be behind the eight ball when he returns in Week 6. Receiver remains a trouble spot for a team that's struggled to find talented wideouts for Sam Bradford.
May 12 - 3:57 PM

Stedman Bailey caught four passes for 33 yards in the Rams' Week 17 loss to the Seahawks.

An impressive third-round pick out of West Virginia, Bailey was a special teams stud early in the year before earning significant stretch-run snaps on offense at Austin Pettis' expense. Bailey's rookie season ends with 17 catches for 226 yards. Bailey runs solid routes and has sticky hands. He will be a candidate for a second-year leap in St. Louis if he can win a starting job out of training camp.

Rams rookie WR Stedman Bailey played a season-high 40 snaps in Sunday's Week 16 win over the Bucs.

Only Chris Givens played more. Bailey racked up three catches for 44 yards and scored his first career NFL touchdown on a 27-yard double reverse. The 92nd pick in last April's draft, Bailey will likely be in the mix to start for the Rams in 2014, along with Givens, Tavon Austin, and Brian Quick.

Stedman Bailey caught three passes for 44 yards in St. Louis' Week 16 win over the Bucs, adding a 27-yard rushing touchdown.

Playing the Tavon Austin role in Austin's absence, Bailey's score came on a double reverse. Bailey got the edge and was off to the house for an easy touchdown. A legit playmaker earning more snaps every week, Bailey will be a deep sleeper in 2014 fantasy leagues.

Stedman Bailey caught two passes for 26 yards in Week 15 versus New Orleans.

Bailey and Austin Pettis tied for the team lead with four targets. The rookie out of West Virginia has seen his playing time rise over the past month. His biggest contribution Sunday was recovering a surprise onside kick early in the game. Bailey is going to be a guy to watch over the offseason and next summer, but he’s not a fantasy option right now.

Rams WR Stedman Bailey played on a season-high 52 percent of the snaps in Sunday's loss at Arizona.

Bailey's role continues to grow as the Rams enter full-blown evaluation mode. The third-round rookie has produced six catches for 92 yards over the last two weeks, gaining snaps at the expense of Austin Pettis. Bailey is a deep Dynasty stash as he won't be playing with Kellen Clemens in 2014.

Stedman Bailey caught three passes for 46 yards in Week 14 at Arizona.

One week after playing a season-high 22 offensive snaps, Bailey drew the start opposite Chris Givens. As ESPN Rams blogger Nick Wagoner mentioned during the game, it's clear that Bailey has the most reliable hands on the team and is arguably the best route runner. The rookie will continue to see increased snaps over the final three weeks. Bailey does his work in the intermediate passing game.

Rams rookie WR Stedman Bailey played a season-high 22 offensive snaps in Sunday's Week 13 loss to the 49ers.

The third-rounder was involved on offense for much of the day, so he wasn't just limited to garbage time. Bailey was targeted four times on the day, turning them into three catches for 46 yards. He also took an offensive pass interference penalty. With the Rams' playoff hopes now extremely slim, Bailey could see even more snaps over the final month. He has vice-like, reliable hands.
