Zac Stacy - RB - Jets

Jets RB Zac Stacy has been diagnosed with a broken right ankle, and is done for the season.

Stacy suffered the injury on an ill-advised kick return to end the first half of Thursday's loss to the Bills. Stacy had been operating as the Jets' No. 2 running back/passing-down specialist in the absence of Bilal Powell, but was receiving very limited touches. Going on 25, the ex-Ram is signed for a modest $675,000 next season, but there's no guarantee he'll be back with Gang Green.

Zac Stacy - RB - Jets

Jets RB Zac Stacy was carted off the field with a right ankle issue in Thursday's game against the Bills, and will not return.

Stacy got his leg rolled up in ugly fashion after fielding a kickoff that appeared to be on its way out of bounds. It had the looks of a season-ending injury. Stacy had yet to touch the ball on offense before going down. Stevan Ridley is backing up Chris Ivory.

Zac Stacy - RB - Jets

Zac Stacy rushed once for three yards and caught one of his three targets for 16 yards in the Jets' Week 9 win over the Jaguars.

We thought Stacy might see more touches with Bilal Powell (ankle) out of the lineup but that wasn’t the case. He’s a non-factor in fantasy and shouldn’t be anywhere near your lineup when the Jets play Buffalo on Thursday night.

Zac Stacy - RB - Jets

Zac Stacy rushed three times for 11 yards and caught his only target for seven yards Week 8 against the Raiders.

Stacy continued to fill in as the change-of-pace back with Bilal Powell (ankle) sidelined, but it did not result in much work this week. He can be left on the wire in all formats.

Zac Stacy - RB - Jets

Zac Stacy rushed seven times for 19 yards in the Jets' Week 7 loss to the Patriots, adding an 11-yard reception.

With Chris Ivory battling a hamstring injury and Bilal Powell (ankle) inactive, Stacy was forced into a bigger role than expected. Ivory has claimed his hamstring won't be a Week 8 issue, but owners should keep tabs on the situation before waiver bids are due.

Zac Stacy - RB - Jets

Zac Stacy rushed 13 times for 46 yards and caught 2-of-2 targets for 15 yards in the Jets' Week 6 win over the Redskins.

As Bilal Powell (groin, ankle) dropped out of Sunday's game early, Stacy stepped up as the Jets' passing-down back behind Chris Ivory, and also relieved Ivory with the game out of hand late. Stacy is officially third on the depth chart. He could move to No. 2 if Powell misses any amount of time.

Zac Stacy - RB - Jets

Zac Stacy rushed five times for seven yards and a touchdown while catching two of three targets for 18 yards in the Jets' Week 4 win over the Dolphins.

Bilal Powell went down with a groin injury in the first half, allowing Stacy to see more snaps than usual. He even saw work on passing downs while spelling Chris Ivory on the goal line early in the third quarter for his first touchdown of the season. Look for Stacy to get a handful of carries against the Redskins if Powell is still hurt after the team’s bye week.
Oct 4 - 2:22 PM
Zac Stacy - RB - Jets

Zac Stacy rushed twice for three yards and caught two passes for -2 yards in the Jets' Week 4 loss to the Eagles.

With Chris Ivory (quad/groin) on the sideline all game, Bilal Powell (17 touches) operated as the Jets' feature back while Stacy ineffectively changed the pace. The Jets will face the Dolphins in London in Week 4. Even with Ivory banged up, Stacy has little or no fantasy value.
Sep 27 - 4:55 PM
Zac Stacy - RB - Jets

Zac Stacy is inactive for Week 1 against the Browns.

Stacy is a healthy scratch, leaving Bilal Powell as the only running back behind Chris Ivory. Even if active, Stacy was unlikely to see carries. Stacy will be in danger of getting cut when Stevan Ridley (knee) returns from PUP.
Sep 13 - 11:57 AM
Zac Stacy - RB - Jets

Zac Stacy ate up 68 yards on 20 rushes and added two catches for 30 yards and a touchdown in Thursday’s preseason win over the Eagles.

It wasn’t the most efficient effort in the world, though Stacy made a few nice plays including a 25-yard catch on a screen from Matt Flynn. Stacy will finish the preseason with 154 rushing yards on 44 carries and seven catches for another 79 yards and two touchdowns. He’ll open the season third on the running back depth chart.
Sep 3 - 11:14 PM
Zac Stacy - RB - Jets

Zac Stacy pounded his way to 60 yards on 13 carries in Saturday’s preseason game against the Giants.

Stacy caught a 24-yard touchdown pass on a play the Giants forgot to defend. The bruising 224-pounder also punched in a two-point conversion. Though he hasn’t improved his position on the team’s depth chart, Stacy has probably done enough to secure a roster spot. He isn’t worth a late-round flyer.
Aug 29 - 10:15 PM
Zac Stacy - RB - Jets

Zac Stacy is working as the No. 3 running back at Jets camp.

He's behind Chris Ivory and Bilal Powell, with Stevan Ridley (ACL/MCL) still on the active/PUP list. Although the Newark Star-Ledger has predicted Stacy won't make the Jets' final 53, Ridley's injury could end up saving his roster spot. Stacy appears to be applying no pressure to Ivory or Powell.

Zac Stacy - RB - Jets

The Newark Star-Ledger doesn’t expect the Jets to keep Zac Stacy.

With Stevan Ridley sidelined, Stacy is running behind Chris Ivory at training camp. Reporter Darryl Slater expects the Jets to carry only three running backs. Stacy needs Ridley to open the season on reserve/PUP to avoid getting cut.
Aug 5 - 5:20 PM
Zac Stacy - RB - Jets

ESPN Jets reporter Rich Cimini believes the Jets could keep four running backs.

Bilal Powell is locked in as the third-down back, but the Jets still have to decide which of their limited power backs they want to carry on the roster. Chris Ivory and Stevan Ridley are the most talented options, but Ridley is coming off a serious knee injury and the new coaching staff seems to be down on Ivory. Zac Stacy was acquired for a seventh-round pick on draft day, but he is the least talented back of the bunch. It does not make much sense for the Jets to carry three runners with almost identical skill sets, but it remains a possibility.
