49ers WR Quinton Patton (concussion) is questionable for Week 13 against the Bears.

Patton returned to practice on Thursday but has not officially passed the concussion protocol. There's a high likelihood of him playing this week, but he won't be a fantasy option if he does.
Dec 2 - 3:07 PM

49ers WR Quinton Patton (concussion) returned to practice on Thursday.

He's still in the league's protocol but should be cleared in time for Sunday's game against Chicago. Patton hasn't scored a touchdown all season and won't be a realistic fantasy consideration for Week 13.
Dec 1 - 2:25 PM

49ers WR Quinton Patton is week to week with a concussion.

Patton was knocked out in the second half of Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Patton had one catch for 12 yards before going down.
Nov 27 - 3:09 PM

Quinton Patton caught 3-of-9 targets for 52 yards in the 49ers' Week 10 loss to the Cardinals.

The nine targets were a team-high and two more than Jeremy Kerley. Patton, however, didn't make much happen outside of a deep-ball grab over the top of CB Justin Bethel in the third quarter, while Kerley turned his looks into a 7-71-1 line. Patton has now seen nine targets in back-to-back games, but he hasn't scored this season and won't be on the fantasy may next week vs. the Patriots.
Nov 13 - 8:05 PM

Quinton Patton broke out for six catches and 106 yards on nine targets Sunday in the 49ers' Week 9 loss to the Saints.

Patton’s nine targets, six of which came in the second half, were a season-high. His longest play from scrimmage was a 31-yard catch-and-run on the Niners’ opening drive. The 106 yards he tallied were a career-high. Patton should have a much tougher time next week against the Cardinals. The 26 year old has yet to score a touchdown this season.
Nov 6 - 9:01 PM

49ers WR Quinton Patton caught 3-of-4 targets for 13 yards in Sunday's Week 7 loss to the Bucs.

A possession receiver in a dysfunctional 49ers passing game, Patton's fantasy value is less than zero.
Oct 23 - 7:50 PM

Quinton Patton caught 4-of-7 targets for 52 yards in the 49ers' Week 6 loss to the Bills.

It was Patton's best game since Week 1. Patton is a big part of the 49ers' offense, but that means very little from a fantasy perspective. He can be safely left on the waiver wire in all formats.
Oct 16 - 5:54 PM

49ers WR Quinton Patton caught 1-of-4 targets for eight yards in Sunday's Week 3 loss to Seattle.

He has descending yardage totals of 60, 25, and 8 through three games in a rudderless 49ers "passing game." Patton is entirely without fantasy value.
Sep 25 - 8:10 PM

Quinton Patton had three catches for 25 yards on six targets in Week 2.

The six targets were behind only Torrey Smith. Patton started in two wide sets, but was less involved this week. He can be dropped for higher upside options.
Sep 18 - 6:14 PM

Quinton Patton caught 5-of-5 targets for 60 yards in the 49ers' Week 1 win over the Rams.

Patton got the start opposite Torrey Smith and played in all two-wide sets, getting in on 78-of-82 offensive snaps. He was third on the team in targets, but made more with his than Torrey Smith (2-13 line on six targets). Patton had a 13-yard catch down the sideline late in the fourth quarter to help set up Vance McDonald's short touchdown just a couple plays later. Patton could have some WR5 value simply based on the voluminous nature of this offense under coach Chip Kelly. He won't be a recommended play next week at the Panthers.
Sep 13 - 2:13 AM

49ers WR Quinton Patton "rushed" for a three-yard touchdown in Friday night's third preseason game.

He was targeted once in the passing game, but it fell incomplete. Patton's touchdown came on a swing pass following a 27-yard run by Carlos Hyde. The score was recorded as a rushing play because Blaine Gabbert's pass was complete behind the line. Patton has been more involved than both Bruce Ellington and Torrey Smith this preseason. That, of course, isn't saying much. Ellington keeps getting hurt and Smith has drawn one measly preseason target.
Aug 27 - 1:14 AM

49ers WR Quinton Patton sees "opportunity" in coach Chip Kelly's offense.

"There’s a lot of opportunity out there with coach Kelly coming in with his offense, and the offense slinging the ball around," Patton said. "It’s more uptempo." A Rascal-bound octogenarian is more uptempo than the 49ers offense of recent memory, so Kelly's system represents a dramatic change for the skill players. The increase in tempo matched with what should be negative game scripts will create more opportunities for the passing game, but it is unlikely those go to Patton. The underwhelming 2013 fourth-rounder has 472 yards total through three seasons.
Jun 29 - 9:57 PM

49ers WR Quinton Patton's right arm is in a cast and he isn't participating in voluntary workouts.

Patton's injury is currently unknown, but he's missing out on quality install time in new coach Chip Kelly's offense. With DeAndre Smelter and Dres Anderson now healthy, and CFL import Eric Rogers now in the fold, Patton won't be gifted the No. 3 receiver gig like he was last season. He's on the bubble.
Apr 29 - 10:36 AM

49ers WR Quinton Patton caught 3-of-5 targets for 37 yards in Sunday's Week 15 loss to the Bengals.

Patton is the 49ers' third receiver behind Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith. He saw a bit more usage than normal on Sunday because Blaine Gabbert dropped back to pass a whopping 54 times in San Francisco's 24-14 loss.
