Saints RG Larry Warford will miss "several games" with an abdominal injury.

One of New Orleans' few weak links up front, Warford graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 61 run-blocking guard among 77 qualifiers in the first six games. The Saints are armed with strong enough offensive line depth to withstand his loss.

Saints RG Larry Warford is sidelined with an abdominal strain.

It's unclear when Warford suffered the injury in Sunday's game against the Packers. He was ruled out for the day early in the third quarter. It's a blow for the Saints' running game, which has really been cooking, both this week and this season.

New Saints RG Larry Warford's four-year deal is worth $34 million, and includes $17 million guaranteed.

Interior linemen are getting paid this year, and Warford was one of the five best on the open market. A starter since arriving as a third-round pick in 2013, Warford has stabilized after some inconsistency, and had a strong 2016. He's a sensible addition for the Saints' latest "get tough" effort. The Saints are putting together a top-five NFL offensive line.

Saints agreed to terms with RG Larry Warford, formerly of the Lions.

The Saints made it a priority to find a right guard in free agency. They flirted with Kevin Zeitler, but he ultimately picked the Browns, becoming the league's highest-paid guard at $12 million per year. Warford isn't a bad consolation prize. A mauler at 6'3/317, he was Pro Football Focus' No. 19 guard last season out of 77 qualifiers, grading out well both in the run game and pass pro. Warford's addition likely means the end of longtime RG Jahri Evans' career in New Orleans.

ESPN's Michael Rothstein predicts impending free agent RG Larry Warford will not re-sign with the Lions.

With both Warford and RT Riley Reiff headed to free agency, the Lions could end up losing the entire right side of their offensive line. If Warford does hit the open market, he is expected to command at least $9 million per season. Warford is Rotoworld's No. 4 available interior lineman.

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline reports free agent RG Larry Warford is expected to fetch $9 million-plus per year on the open market.

Warford's biggest asset is his youth. He doesn't turn 26 until this summer. Warford and Kevin Zeitler are the top two free agent guards, with T.J. Lang also in the mix, though Lang is going on 30. Warford was Pro Football Focus' No. 19 guard last season, receiving plus marks for his run blocking. At $9 million annually, he'd be one of the NFL's highest-paid guards.

Free agent RG Larry Warford is expected to test the open market.

One of the top interior linemen available, Warford is going to price himself out of Detroit. The Lions are more interested in bringing back free agent RT Riley Reiff. 2015 first-rounder Laken Tomlinson is Warford's in-house replacement.
Feb 22 - 5:10 PM

Free agent RG Larry Warford indicated he isn't interested in a hometown discount to stay in Detroit.

Warford is rightfully looking to get paid after a rock-solid season at right guard with the Lions. "I mean, I’ve got my family to think about too," said Warford, who is getting married this offseason. "Starting a family is awesome, and that factors in." Still only 25 years old, Warford is likely to emerge from the free agency period as one of the highest paid guards in football.

Free agent RG Larry Warford expects to test the open market.

Warford had a bounce back year after an injury filled 2015, missing just one game and grading as a top-25 guard at PFF. He should draw interest from multiple teams this offseason. Detroit has Laken Tomlinson as Warford's potential replacement.
Jan 14 - 2:45 PM

Lions RG Larry Warford (hip) is inactive for Week 6 against the Rams.

Warford picked up a hip injury in Wednesday's practice and did not see the field the rest of the week. He could miss a couple games. Graham Glasgow, who had to replace LG Laken Tomlinson last week, will get the start at right guard. It is a downgrade for the entire offense.

Lions RG Larry Warford's starting job will be "on a short leash" this season.

The 65th overall pick in the 2013 draft, Warford looked like a future All Pro his first two seasons before enduring an injury-riddled third campaign. Now entering his contract year, Warford has a lot at stake. He's 25 years old (in June) with dominant drive-blocking potential and will get paid handsomely if his season goes well. Journeyman Geoff Schwartz will push Warford in camp.

Lions RG Larry Warford suffered a concussion in the team's Thanksgiving win over the Eagles.

Detroit plays its next game next Thursday night against the Packers. When healthy this season, Warford has been a disappointment and a major part of the Lions' run-game woes. Rookie LG Laken Tomlinson has been even worse.

Lions RG Larry Warford (ankle) is probable for Week 6.

His return will shift Manny Ramirez back to left guard and rookie Laken Tomlinson back to the bench. With the offensive line getting healthy, Detroit has to find a way to get the running game working.

Lions RG Larry Warford (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 4.

Warford aggravated his high-ankle sprain in last week's loss. He practiced fully on Thursday and Friday, but was downgraded to limited Saturday. Lions beat writers aren't expecting Warford to play. Manny Ramirez will move to the right side if Warford sits, with rookie Laken Tomlinson starting at left guard.
