The Jets fear a torn ACL for starting RG Brian Winters.

A miserable season got worse for the Jets on Sunday as it looks like they've lost both Winters and CB Dee Milliner (Achilles). Winters, a 2013 third-round pick, will have an MRI Monday to confirm.

Jets third-round pick Brian Winters has a "legitimate chance" to start at right guard.

A left tackle at Kent State, Winters will compete with veterans Stephen Peterman and Vlad Ducasse in training camp. The New York Daily News confirms Willie Colon is locked into the Jets' left guard job.

Jets agreed to terms with No. 72 overall pick OL Brian Winters on a four-year contract.

Winters (6-foot-4, 320) started 50 games at Kent State, 34 at left tackle and 16 at right tackle. Winters is a brawling phone booth blocker with an edge to him, and he's currently penciled in as the Jets' starting right guard.

The Jets will use No. 72 overall pick Brian Winters at right guard.

He'll compete with Vlad Ducasse and Stephen Peterman. Willie Colon will be the starting left guard. Winters played left tackle at Kent State, but was never considered there by NFL teams due to 32 3/4-inch arms. A brawler with a decorated wrestling history, we like Winters' chances of starting as a rookie.

Jets selected Kent State G Brian Winters with the No. 72 overall pick.

Winters (6-foot-4, 320) made 50 starts at Kent State and has a decorated wrestling background, which comes in handy in the trenches. Primarily a left tackle in college, Winters' 32 3/4-inch arms will kick him inside to guard. He blocks with a brawler's aggression and should have little trouble with the position switch. The Kent State product could immediately challenge for a starting job and his nastiness in the trenches will not go unnoticed.
