Free agent TE Chris Gragg visited the Jaguars on Wednesday.

Gragg was drafted by now-Jaguars coach Doug Marrone in Buffalo in the seventh round in 2013. Billed as an athletic tight end, Gragg has just 24 career catches for 251 yards and two scores and missed all of 2016 with a torn ACL.

Bills TE Chris Gragg tore his ACL in Friday night's preseason game.

It's a bad break for Gragg, who was having a solid camp and preseason and looked likely to make the 53 behind Charles Clay. Second-year TE Nick O'Leary has been a disappointment. Jim Dray is the Bills' No. 2 tight end.

Bills TE Chris Gragg had knee surgery in January.

Gragg was limited in OTAs, but has been practicing without restrictions since the start of camp. He’s competing with MarQueis Gray, rookie Nick O’Leary, and Matt Mulligan for a role behind Charles Clay. Gragg has to prove he can block in Buffalo's run-heavy scheme to keep his spot.

Bills declared TE Chris Gragg, DB Da'Norris Searcy, FB Frank Summers, LB Randell Johnson, OT Cyrus Kouandjio, WR Deonte Thompson, and DL Jarius Wynn inactive for Week 15 against the Packers.

There are no surprises on Buffalo's Week 15 inactives list.

Bills TE Chris Gragg is behind Scott Chandler and Tony Moeaki at OTAs.

He appears to be competing with Lee Smith for third-string duties. Gragg has mild Dynasty league appeal as a 4.50 speedster at 6-foot-3, 244. Chandler appears locked in as Buffalo's starter. Moeaki is the favorite for No. 2 work.

Bills TE Chris Gragg was held catch-less in Week 11 against the Jets.

A week after seeing six targets and scoring his first NFL touchdown, Gragg was a non-factor. He only has fantasy value in deeper Dynasty leagues.

Bills TE Chris Gragg caught four passes for 25 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 10 loss to Pittsburgh.

Gragg is an interesting size-speed specimen who could be a drain on Bills starting TE Scott Chandler's production the rest of the way. In fourth-quarter garbage time Sunday, Gragg hauled in a two-yard touchdown pass from E.J. Manuel. Gragg is more of a Dynasty than re-draft league fantasy prospect.

According to BuffaloBills.com, seventh-round TE Chris Gragg "frequented the end zone" in OTAs.

Per reporter Chris Brown, Gragg "took advantage" of the first-team reps he got in Scott Chandler's (ACL) absence. Chandler is expected to be ready for Week 1, but Gragg is a name to file away in deeper leagues. He won't be worth a pick in redraft formats, but could emerge as a factor later in the season. Gragg stands in at 6-foot-3, 244 pounds with 4.50 speed.

Seventh-round Bills TE Chris Gragg's college teammate Ryan Mallett compares him to Aaron Hernandez.

"(It's) because of our size and the things that we do," the 6-foot-3, 244-pound Gragg said of the comparison. "(Hernandez) really doesn’t block that much. Our size is similar, but they say I’m a little bit faster." Gragg is indeed faster, clocking a juicy 4.50 40-yard dash at the Combine. Hernandez ran a 4.64 at his 2010 Pro Day. Coach Doug Marrone anticipates Gragg creating matchup problems. "He’s got 4.5 speed and I think he can stretch the field vertically." With Scott Chandler on the mend from a torn ACL, Gragg could get on the field as a pass-catcher early this season.

Bills agreed to terms with No. 222 overall pick TE Chris Gragg on a four-year contract.

Gragg (6-foot-2 3/4, 244) led all tight ends at the Combine with a 4.50 forty, 37.5-inch vertical, and 10-foot-5 broad jump. He isn't going to block anyone, and Gragg plays the position more like a receiver. Gragg is super athletic, and he'll be another weapon in a Buffalo offense that lacked them last season.

Bills selected Arkansas TE Chris Gragg with the No. 222 overall pick.

Gragg (6-foot-2 3/4, 244) caught 72 passes for 1,003 yards (13.9 YPR) and seven touchdowns in four seasons with the Razorbacks. He was injury prone and underutilized in the Petrino offenses, although Gragg seemed to be coming on with a 41/518/2 line as a junior before knee and hip injuries cost him seven games as a senior. Gragg rehabbed his stock at the Combine by leading all tight ends in the forty (4.50), vertical (37.5"), and broad jump (10-foot-5). Gragg isn't going to block anyone, but obviously has NFL-caliber athleticism. The Bills continue to add speed on offense, and Gragg can be a movable receiving piece.

Arkansas TE Chris Gragg led all tight ends at the Combine with a forty-yard dash time of 4.50.

Gragg, who goes 6-foot-2 1/2 and 244 pounds, also led the field in the vertical (37 1/2") and broad jump (10'5") while managing a respectable 18 bench reps of 225 pounds. Gragg battled injuries in college, but posted a 41/518/2 line as a junior before missing seven games as a senior. Some team will probably jump on Gragg in the mid to late rounds because he's so athletic.
