The Raiders are working Sio Moore at weak-side linebacker during OTAs.
It's worth noting incumbent WLB Kevin Burnett isn't attending, though he may lose his starting job, anyway. First-round pick Khalil Mack is ticketed for strong-side linebacker, which is Moore's old position. Moore was Reggie McKenzie's only 2013 draft pick who provided a meaningful impact last season. He was a stout run defender, excelled in pass coverage, and chipped in 4.5 sacks. May 28 - 7:49 PM

Raiders rookie SLB Sio Moore (concussion) is inactive for Monday night's Week 3 game against the Broncos.

Moore was involved in a car accident Saturday morning and ended up with a concussion. Kaluka Maiava will get the start in his place. Moore has been impressive, but he's only played just over 32 percent of the defensive snaps. Raiders SLB Sio Moore is listed as questionable for Monday night's Week 3 game at Denver due to a concussion.

One of Oakland's few impressive young pieces, Moore was concussed during a car accident on Saturday morning. Moore has indicated on Twitter that he will play against the Broncos. Kaluka Maiava will get the nod if Moore can't go.

Coach Dennis Allen said he plans to use third-round SLB Sio Moore the same way the Broncos use Von Miller.

Allen was Denver's defensive coordinator the year they drafted Miller. Moore has been lining up with his hand in the dirt on passing downs, and Allen sees that as a role he can "potentially serve." Moore possesses dangerous pass-rush skills, which showed up in the preseason opener on his sack of Tony Romo. The Raiders finished 31st in the league in sacks last season.

Raiders third-round SLB Sio Moore has already earned a starting job.

Moore is the only draft pick the Raiders are getting much from, as D.J. Hayden and Menelik Watson are hurt and Tyler Wilson is getting outplayed by UDFA Matt McGloin. The Raiders' linebacker corps appears all set with Moore on the strong side, Nick Roach in the middle, and Kevin Burnett at weak-side 'backer.

Raiders signed third-round OLB Sio Moore to a four-year contract.

Moore, the No. 66 overall pick, has been the talk of Raiders OTAs and minicamp. He can play all three linebacker spots, but Moore has been lining up at both the weak-side and strong-side positions. He'll be a Week 1 starter as a rookie.

Third-round LB Sio Moore has been lining up at both strong-side and weak-side linebacker in spring workouts.

"His ability to understand multiple positions has been good," coach Dennis Allen said. "He's athletic in space, which was something Philip (Wheeler) was really good at. I think he's got great awareness for the game and he's probably got a little bit more coming off the edge." Explosive off the edge, Moore should force his way onto the field as a rookie.

Raiders selected Connecticut LB Sio Moore with the No. 66 overall pick.

Moore (6-foot 3/4, 245) racked up a team-high 15.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, and 11 pass breakups at outside linebacker for the Huskies last season. An explosive athlete, he ran 4.65 at the Combine with a 38-inch vertical and 10-foot-7 broad jump. Moore is a dangerous pass rusher with plus versatility, capable of playing essentially any linebacker position. The Raiders' linebacker corps is a mess, but Moore should compete for playing time at one of the spots.

TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline reports UConn LB Sio Moore is drawing "great interest" from the Ravens.

Per Pauline, Moore is drawing "a lot of interest around the league." Touted as scheme versatile, Moore would man the inside in Baltimore. He's viewed as more of a day-two pick, but could be a possibility for the Ravens at No. 32.
