Free agent TE Luke Willson intends to test the open market.
Reporter Bob Condotta believes the 'Hawks would "undoubtedly love" to re-sign their 2013 fifth-rounder, but "only at the right price." Willson was a tool-sy project coming out of Rice, but has never developed into much of a blocker. He does have 74 career catches. Standing in at 6-foot-5, 252 pounds with 4.5 wheels, Willson could tempt some teams on the open market. Feb 16 - 8:16 PM

Date:

Luke Willson wasn't target in the Seahawks' Divisional Round loss to the Falcons.

Willson was evaluated for a concussion, but cleared. A decisive No. 2 behind Jimmy Graham this season, Willson caught 15 passes for 129 yards and two scores. Now 27, Willson is headed to free agency. He was an intriguing prospect in the 2013 Draft, but has given little reason to believe he'll ever develop into a fantasy option.
Jan 14 - 9:05 PM

Luke Willson caught 3-of-3 targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks' Week 15 win over the Rams.

Somehow, Willson out-targeted Jimmy Graham 3-2. It was brutal for Graham's fantasy owners, but not a harbinger of things to come.

Seahawks TE Luke Willson exited Week 12 against the Bucs with a knee injury.

Coach Pete Carroll said after the game he is dealing with a first-degree sprain. Willson missed several games with a knee injury earlier this season, but this is a different issue. He could be headed for injured reserve.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll confirmed that Luke Willson (knee) will play against the Eagles in Week 11.

He was expected to return Sunday against New England but the Seahawks played it safe by keeping him out another week. Willson has logged just six catches for 50 yards this year. He's not a fantasy factor.

Coach Pete Carroll expects Luke Willson (questionable, knee) to play in Week 10.

Willson should give Seattle a run-blocking upgrade. He'll have no impact on Jimmy Graham's targets.

Luke Willson (knee) is questionable for Week 10 against the Patriots.

Willson was upgraded to full practice on Thursday, putting him on track to return Sunday at Foxboro. With Jimmy Graham rounding into form, Willson will mostly be limited to blocking. Willson carries no fantasy value.
Fri, Nov 11, 2016 04:20:00 PM

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Luke Willson (knee) will return to practice this week.

The Seahawks just had a walkthrough on Wednesday. Carroll added that Willson hopes to play Sunday against New England. Willson has been sidelined since hurting his knee in Week 6.

Luke Willson (knee surgery) had been ruled out for Week 9.

Willson is ahead of schedule, but was never going to play Monday night. He remains week to week.
Sat, Nov 5, 2016 05:20:00 PM

Luke Willson (knee surgery) is week to week.

Willson is "hopeful" of playing Monday against the Bills, but that probably won't happen. Either way, it's a remarkably quick recovery from a player who seemed like he was likely done for the season. Willson has zero fantasy value behind Jimmy Graham.

Luke Willson suffered cartilage damage and stretched ligaments in his knee Week 6 against the Falcons and needs surgery.

With Jimmy Graham healthy and looking like the Saints version of himself, Willson hasn't been a factor in the passing game. But he is playing heavy snaps as a key blocker in two-tight end sets. It could be a season-ending injury.

Seahawks TE Luke Willson suffered a knee injury in Sunday's win over the Falcons.

Willson went down blocking on a fourth quarter touchdown run. It didn't look good. His status will be updated some time in the next 48 hours.

ESPN's Sheil Kapadia expects Luke Willson to be the Seahawks' starting tight end Week 1.

The implication being Jimmy Graham will not be ready to go despite coach Pete Carroll claiming he has been a "full-go" in practice. Even if Graham suits up against the Dolphins, he will be limited in his first game action since rupturing his patellar tendon, meaning Willson will play plenty of snaps. Willson failed to capitalize after Graham went down last year, but he could be worth a look in deep two-TE formats.

Luke Willson caught 4-of-7 targets for 54 yards in the Seahawks' Divisional Round loss to the Panthers.

Willson returned after missing the Wild Card round with a concussion. His longest catch went for 22 yards down the right side, as he was left wide open in the first half. Willson has one year left on his rookie deal and will likely run with the first-team offense much of the offseason as Jimmy Graham recovers from patellar tendon surgery. Willson is a catch-first tight end.

Luke Willson (concussion) is listed as probable for Sunday's Divisional Round game against the Panthers.

Willson missed last week's game with a concussion but returned to a full practice on Wednesday. He caught one pass for 16 yards when Seattle lost to Carolina earlier this season.
