Lions WR Corey Fuller "continues to impress" in camp.
The test for Fuller will be the preseason, not practice, but he's zeroing in on No. 3 duties behind Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate. It's a fancy title, but not a fantasy-relevant position behind two target hogs. A nice size/speed prospect, Fuller is worth one of your final roster spots in Dynasty leagues. Aug 11 - 7:15 PM

Lions WR Corey Fuller is "consistently making plays in practice."

Per writer Tim Twentyman, Fuller has "made at least one great play in every practice," and typically on a "variety of different routes." A 2013 sixth-rounder, Fuller caught 14 balls last season. He's in the driver's seat for No. 3 duties, but is going to lack for targets behind Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate.

Corey Fuller is expected to win the Lions' No. 3 receiver job.

While it sounds like a nice job to win, the Lions' third receiver won't be a reliable fantasy option. Detroit is expected to use the fullback and plenty of two-tight end sets with Brandon Pettigrew and Eric Ebron, leaving Fuller mostly useless outside of extremely deep leagues. He'd do well to see 30 targets.

The Lions are "very high" on rising third-year WR Corey Fuller.

A 2013 sixth-round pick out of Virginia Tech, Fuller took a big step forward as a sophomore and runs 4.4 at 6-foot-2, 200. While he probably won't make a fantasy dent behind Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate, Fuller could conceivably fill a Robert Meachem or Devery Henderson-type clear-out role in ex-Saints assistant Joe Lombardi's offense. Fuller is a long-striding vertical streaker.

Lions WR Corey Fuller said his offseason goal is to improve his route-running.

Fuller, a former track star that is still raw as an NFL wideout, caught just 14 passes for 212 yards with one touchdown as an NFL sophomore. He's going to have to expand his route tree to separate from the likes of T.J. Jones, Ryan Broyles and Jeremy Ross. We're not expecting it to happen, leaving Fuller as a sub-package reserve once again in 2015.
Jan 27 - 9:59 AM

Lions WR Corey Fuller secured 2-of-3 targets for 26 yards in Sunday's Wild Card Round loss to the Cowboys.

Fuller came up with a key play in the fourth quarter, breaking off a 21-yard gain down the middle on a snap where Detroit was backed up into its own end zone. His other reception went for five yards on a checkdown. Fuller is 24 years old with plus size and speed, but lacks an ability to consistently beat man coverage, and isn't particularly adept at winning in crowds. We see him as a career sub-package receiver and not a future starter in the pros.

Corey Fuller caught 3-of-6 targets for 43 yards against the Falcons Week 8.

Fuller was heavily involved with Calvin Johnson sidelined. Fuller has shown well in Johnson's absence, but will be relegated to a secondary role when Calvin returns following the bye.

Corey Fuller caught 3-of-5 targets for 44 yards and the game-winning touchdown against the Saints Week 7.

Fuller was quiet most of the day, but stepped up with several big plays down the stretch. Fuller's skill set makes him the most likely "replacement" for Calvin Johnson on the Lions' roster, and he should continue to be involved as long as Megatron is sidelined.

Lions WR Corey Fuller's role is likely to expand with Calvin Johnson (ankle) out.

Fuller has played a healthy 113 snaps this season, but has caught only 4-of-7 targets for 69 yards while being used primarily as a field-stretching decoy. With Johnson out, Fuller will likely be expected to do a lot more. Even with an expanded role, Fuller is nothing more than a hail-mary play in super deep leagues.

Lions WR Corey Fuller caught 1-of-2 targets for 52 yards in Detroit's Week 3 win over the Packers.

The catch was the first of Fuller's career. The 2013 seventh-round pick spent his entire rookie year on the practice squad. He'll occasionally mix in as a deep threat for the Lions.

Coach Jim Caldwell singled out WR Corey Fuller for praise following the Lions' rookie minicamp.

Fuller is a second-year player, but didn't appear in a single game last season even though the Lions were desperate for receiving options opposite Calvin Johnson. He'll have to make a big impression on the new coaching regime to have a shot at this year's roster. Golden Tate and T.J. Jones have been added to a team that already included Johnson, Kris Durham and Ryan Broyles.

Lions GM Martin Mayhew said second-year WR Corey Fuller needs "to get stronger in the weight room."

A sixth-round pick in 2013, Fuller is listed as 6'2/204. The speedy developmental prospect spent his entire rookie season on the practice squad even though the Lions were absolutely desperate for wideout help in the wake of injuries to Nate Burleson and Ryan Broyles. Mayhew is expected to add at least two receivers via the draft and free agency, so we wouldn't expect a second-year breakout from Fuller.

Lions waived WR Corey Fuller, LB Jon Morgan, and OL Darren Keyton.

They're all practice squad eligible. Fuller will be a priority for Detroit to stash after GM Martin Mayhew drafted him in the sixth round this April.

Lions agreed to terms with No. 171 overall pick WR Corey Fuller on a four-year, $2.283 million contract.

Sixth-round picks are typically 50-50 to make the team, but the Lions' website considers Fuller a "strong candidate" for a roster spot. Fuller was a one-year wonder at Virginia Tech, but boasts 4.43 speed to go along with his 6-foot-2, 204-pound frame. With the Lions absolutely desperate for a downfield burner to pair opposite Calvin Johnson, they'll look for reasons to keep Fuller, instead of vice versa. Still, he's not a realistic threat for 2013 fantasy value, and is little more than a flier in Dynasty leagues.

The Lions' website considers sixth-round pick WR Corey Fuller a strong candidate for a roster spot.

Fuller (6-2, 204) was a one-year wonder at Virginia Tech, but has 4.43 speed and the potential to be an explosive downfield receiver. With Ryan Broyles (ACL surgery) injured and Nate Burleson the favorite for the Lions' No. 2 job, Fuller could be an option for the Titus Young role in Detroit's offense. He shouldn't have any trouble beating out Patrick Edwards and Kris Durham.
