Bills claimed WR Justin Brown off waivers from the Steelers.
The Steelers gave up on Brown, their 6-foot-3 2013 sixth-round pick, after the season. He caught just 12 passes in eight career games, failing to climb the depth chart at all. In Buffalo, Brown will fight for a roster spot behind a current top-four of Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods, Chris Hogan and Marquise Goodwin. Feb 3 - 10:28 AM

Steelers waived WR Justin Brown.

Brown spent the entire regular season on the active roster, but was a healthy scratch for eight of the final 10 games. Zero of his 12 catches came after Week 6. A 2013 sixth-rounder, Brown was mistake prone when on the field.

Steelers WR Justin Brown is inactive for Sunday night's Week 9 game against the Ravens.

Brown will be a healthy scratch for the third straight week. Also inactive for the Steelers are QB Landry Jones, NT Daniel McCullers, CB B.W. Webb, G Chris Hubbard, CB Ike Taylor, and S Ross Ventrone.

Steelers declared WR Justin Brown inactive for Sunday's Week 8 game against the Colts.

Martavis Bryant is expected to rotate with Markus Wheaton opposite Antonio Brown. CB Ike Taylor (arm) also remains sidelined. The rest of the Steelers inactives: QB Landy Jones, SS Shamarko Thomas, CB BW Webb, T Marcus Gilbert and NT Steve McLendon.

Steelers declared WR Justin Brown, NT Steve McLendon, LB Ryan Shazier, CB Ike Taylor, QB Landry Jones, S Shamarko Thomas, and OG Chris Hubbard inactive for Monday night's Week 7 game against the Texans.

Brown is being replaced in the lineup by rookie Martavis Bryant, who is making his NFL debut. McLendon has a shoulder injury, Ike Taylor has a broken forearm, and Shazier remains out with a knee issue. Jones is the No. 3 QB.

Justin Brown caught 1-of-4 targets for six yards in the Steelers' Week 2 loss to the Ravens.

It was a nightmare night for Lance Moore's slot fill-in, who fumbled away his lone catch and dropped one of his other three targets (on a shovel pass). Brown will be sent back to the bench as soon as Moore is over his groin injury.

Justin Brown caught 3-of-4 targets for 38 yards in the Steelers' Week 1 victory over the Browns.

Brown had a fourth grab called back by offensive pass interference. A second-year sixth rounder who spent part of 2013 on the practice squad, Brown was only getting run because Lance Moore and Martavis Bryant were sidelined. He's not a fantasy consideration.

Steelers WR Justin Brown failed to secure either of his targets in Thursday night's preseason game against Philly.

Practice reports on Brown have been exceedingly upbeat since the spring, but he hasn't done much in game action. He has three catches for 15 yards on seven targets this preseason. Brown did open Thursday's game as the Steelers' No. 3 receiver, with Lance Moore inactive. So Brown would appear to be the No. 4.

Steelers WR Justin Brown has recently seen some snaps ahead of Lance Moore as the first-team slot receiver.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette seems to think Brown has a legit shot to unseat Moore, even if Moore remains the favorite. Brown was also sprinkled in with the first team this spring. At 6-foot-3, 207, Brown offers much better size than 5-foot-9, 182-pound Moore. Both of the Steelers' outside receivers are under 6-feet.

Steelers second-year WR Justin Brown was sprinkled in with the first-team offense during OTAs and minicamp.

Brown got his first-team reps in three-wide packages that also featured Antonio Brown and Lance Moore. Still, we don't expect the 2013 sixth-round pick to run ahead of Markus Wheaton or Martavis Bryant at all during training camp. Brown lacks NFL-caliber separation ability and athleticism.

Steelers signed WR Justin Brown, OG Chris Hubbard, OL Joe Long, RB Alvester Alexander, DL Brian Arnelt, LB Terence Garvin, LB Alan Baxter, and DB Devin Smith to their practice squad.

Brown is the most notable name here; he was a sixth-round pick this past April out of Oklahoma. Long is the younger brother of Rams LT Jake Long.

Steelers signed sixth-round WR Justin Brown to a four-year contract.

Brown (6-foot-3, 207) isn't an explosive athlete, as evidenced by his 4.60 forty and 30.5" vertical, and he'll have trouble separating at the NFL level. Brown will compete for No. 4 or 5 receiver duties and a special teams role.

Steelers selected Oklahoma WR Justin Brown with the No. 186 overall pick.

Brown (6-foot-3, 207) ran a 4.60 forty and posted an underwhelming 30 1/2-inch vertical at the Sooners' Pro Day. A transfer from Penn State, Brown reeled in 73 passes for 879 yards and five touchdowns as a senior. Brown wins at the catch point, but he'll have trouble separating at the next level. He'll compete for a spot at the bottom of the roster and try and contribute on special teams.
