The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson reports the Dolphins have "expressed some level of interest" in free agent CB Nickell Robey-Coleman.

The phrasing does not indicate there is a ton of interest, and Jackson reports the two sides have yet to schedule a visit. The Vikings, Titans, Chargers, and Steelers are also reportedly interested in the former Bill.

The St. Paul Pioneer-Press reports the Vikings are one of four teams interested in free agent CB Nickell Robey-Coleman.

The Vikings are looking for deals on second-wave defensive backs, also talking to Lardarius Webb. The Vikes need a new man in the slot, and though undersized, Robey-Coleman has often played above-average ball as a nickel back. He would be a nice replacement for fellow-undersized slot CB Captain Munnerlyn.

Bills released CB Nickell Robey-Coleman.

The Bills have also cut K Dan Carpenter, LS Garrison Sanborn, TE Gerald Christian and S Phillip Thomas. The Bills' slot corner since 2013, Robey-Coleman was benched in November. Releasing him creates $1.65 million in cap space. Still only 25, Robey-Coleman has put some good football on film, but stands in at just 5-foot-8. He will be a part of someone's 53-man roster in 2017, and quite possibly a starting slot man.

The Bills have benched slot CB Nickell Robey-Coleman.

Robey-Coleman was one of the better corners in the league the first six weeks of the season, according to Pro Football Focus, but his play has slipped the past month. The Bills were using him to cover Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham at times over their last two games, and obviously the 5'8/165 Robey-Coleman didn't stand a chance. Kevon Seymour (6'/185) will replace him.

Bills signed CB Nickell Robey to a two-year contract extension.

Although Robey struggled according to Pro Football Focus' grades last season, this extension is a big vote of confidence from the new Bills coaching staff. Coach Rex Ryan undoubtedly signed off on the move, and will hope Robey becomes the player Rex wanted Kyle Wilson to be in New York. 23-year-old Robey looked like one of the NFL's best young slot corners in Mike Pettine's 2013 Bills defense. Ryan's scheme is very similar to Pettine's.

Bills defensive coordinator Mike Pettine praised undrafted rookie CB Nickell Robey for his work during OTAs.

"You could tell he was very well coached at Southern California," said Pettine. "He’s made big plays in big games. I don’t think it will be too big for him." Robey will compete with Justin Rogers and Ron Brooks for nickel corner duties. Robey is the least experienced of the three, but did play both outside and inside at USC.

Undrafted rookie CB Nickell Robey worked with the Bills' first-team defense during OTAs.

With Leodis McKelvin (groin) sidelined, Robey was used at left cornerback opposite Stephon Gilmore, with Justin Rogers in the slot. 2012 fourth-round pick Ron Brooks is also expected to see playing time in sub packages. Robey will compete with Crezdon Butler and T.J. Heath for a spot on the 53-man roster.
