Knowshon Moreno (wrist) practiced all week and will handle the majority of the carries against a weak Chiefs run defense.

Broncos declared RB LaMont Jordan, QB Tom Brandstater, WR Kenny McKinley, OG Seth Olsen, DL Chris Baker, WR Brandon Lloyd, RT Ryan Harris and OLB Jarvis Moss inactive for Thursday's game against the Giants.

Kyle Orton will start, as expected. The biggest injury for the Broncos is starting RT Ryan Harris. It's a bad time for him to be out against the Giants' outstanding defensive line. Brian Dawkins (neck) is active and will start.

Broncos declared RB LaMont Jordan, QB Tom Brandstater, WR Brandon Lloyd, OLB Jarvis Moss, WR Kenny McKinley, OT Brandon Gorin, DL Chris Baker, and OG Seth Olsen inactive for Week 8.

The Broncos are healthy coming out of their Week 7 bye. Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter will handle backfield duties with Jordan inactive this week.

Broncos coach Josh McDaniels characterized LaMont Jordan's role as the "four-minute" back when the team is trying to run out the clock with the lead.

Peyton Hillis will continue to work as the short-yardage specialist, though any of the backs could see carries inside the 10-yard line. Jordan has just 15 rushing attempts to 31 for Correll Buckhalter and 46 for Knowshon Moreno.

According to Denver Post columnist Woody Paige, LaMont Jordan will be the Broncos' short-yardage back.

Paige goes on to say that when Knowshon Moreno is completely healthy, Darius Walker will be signed off the practice squad to replace Jordan. Keep in mind this is a columnist, not a beat writer. But regardless, Jordan is clearly the fourth-stringer in Denver right now.

LaMont Jordan is in danger of not making the Broncos' final roster.

Constant in-camp injuries have left Jordan falling "off the radar," says the Denver Post. He'll be a fourth-stringer at best if he sticks around. Knowshon Moreno, Correll Buckhalter, and Peyton Hillis are all ahead of Jordan.

Jordan no longer looks like a sure bet to make the team, with rookie Knowshon Moreno getting healthier and Peyton Hillis seemingly climbing up the tailback depth chart. Correll Buckhalter is currently Denver's starter.

Jordan has missed every practice this week. Knowshon Moreno (knee) is also out, meaning Correll Buckhalter will get the majority of reps with the starters. We're going to have to wait to see how this situation shakes out.

Down goes one Denver back, up springs another. The Broncos have enough depth at the position to withstand multiple injuries. With Knowshon Moreno poised to be the starter in Week 1, Jordan's left to battle for goal-line carries.

LaMont Jordan has been sidelined the past few practices by a mysterious leg injury.

We have no details because Josh McDaniels isn't releasing any. Jordan insists he's finally in great shape this year, but he's constantly banged up. He's falling behind Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter in the tailback pecking order.

The Mirage hotel-casino in Las Vegas has sued Broncos RB LaMont Jordan, alleging he owes $20,000 in gambling debts.

Who does Jordan think he is, Charles Barkley? At least Barkley got whacked for six figures. Jordan is getting his name dragged through the mud over a measly 20 grand.

LaMont Jordan admits that the injuries he's had in the past were the result of a "complete lack of preparation and discipline."

Jordan appears more trim and focused this season, but that's not going to bring back his lost years with the Raiders. Jordan is splitting first-team reps while Knowshon Moreno is unsigned. He's slated to back up Moreno, but he could emerge as a goal-line vulture.

Ryan Torain was reportedly the most impressive back of the day, and rookie Knowshon Moreno still isn't signed. Even though Mike Shanahan is gone, this situation still smells of a headache for fantasy owners.
