Cardinals re-signed WR Jaron Brown, S Tony Jefferson and S D.J. Swearinger to one-year contracts.
All three were restricted free agents tendered at the lowest level. Their one-year contracts are worth $1.67 million. Jaron Brown will compete for targets behind Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd and John Brown. Jefferson and Swearinger are both candidates to start in the Cardinals' thin safety corps. Cardinals tendered restricted free agent WR Jaron Brown.

S D.J. Swearinger also received an offer. Both players were tendered at the lowest level ($1.67 million). The Cards would receive no compensation were Brown to sign elsewhere and they decided not to match, but would be entitled to a second-rounder in Swearinger's case. Both players should be back in the desert.

Cardinals WR Jaron Brown (shoulder) is participating without issue at OTAs.

Brown avoided surgery on the fractured shoulder blade he sustained in the Wild Card loss to the Panthers. He'll battle for the No. 4 wideout job at training camp.

Jaron Brown (shoulder) will participate in the Cardinals’ offseason program.

Brown suffered a fractured shoulder in January, but managed to avoid surgery. He expects to be full speed for the start of OTAs. Brown is Arizona's No. 4 receiver behind Michael Floyd, Larry Fitzgerald, and John Brown.

Cardinals WR Jaron Brown will avoid surgery on his fractured shoulder blade.

The hope is he'll be ready for OTAs, and he'll most certainly be back before 2015 training camp. 25-year-old Brown spent 2014 as Arizona's No. 4 receiver, securing 22 passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns. If Larry Fitzgerald moves on, Brown would become the favorite for third receiver duties in 2015.

Jaron Brown suffered a fractured scapula in Saturday's Wild Card loss to the Panthers and will be out 4-6 months.

In layman's terms, the scapula is the shoulder blade. Brown will now miss OTAs and possibly even mandatory minicamp before likely being ready for training camp. It doesn't help his chances at earning a bigger offensive role, but also doesn't hurt them much since Brown will be ready for the preseason.

Jaron Brown was held without a catch on one target in the Cardinals' Wild Card loss to the Panthers.

The Cardinals' No. 4 receiver as a second-year undrafted free agent, Brown saw some meaningful playing time when Larry Fitzgerald was hurt late in the regular season. He was constantly talked up by coach Bruce Arians. Brown finished the season with 22 catches for 229 yards and two touchdowns. He'll be back to compete for a reserve role next summer. Brown turns 25 next week.

Jaron Brown wasn't targeted in the Cardinals' Week 15 win over the Rams.

Brown has gotten more involved on offense as the season has progressed, but still isn't nearly consistent enough to offer upside as a cheap WR3 option in daily leagues.

Jaron Brown caught seven passes for 75 yards in Sunday's Week 13 loss at Atlanta.

We know a Brown would step up for the Cardinals with Larry Fitzgerald (knee) sidelined, but we thought it would be John. Instead, Jaron got nine targets and the second-year UDFA turned in career-highs across the board. It's not something we'd expect to become a trend, as Fitzgerald's could be back next week and John is the more talented player.

Jaron Brown caught three passes for 24 yards in Sunday's Week 12 loss at Seattle.

Brown won't remember anything from this game other than one play. Late in the first half, Drew Stanton hit him between the numbers in the end zone with a third-down pass. Brown somehow dropped it and hung his head in disbelief. Even with Larry Fitzgerald (knee) looking unlikely to play at Atlanta next week, Jaron Brown is not a viable option. Teammate John Brown is.

Jaron Brown is expected to operate as the Cardinals' No. 3 receiver in Sunday's game at Seattle.

Michael Floyd and John Brown will start with Larry Fitzgerald (MCL sprain) not expected to dress. John Brown is Arizona's best fantasy bet at wide receiver against a Seattle defense that historically stymies bigger wideouts. Brown is a promising second-year UDFA out of Clemson. He's worth a Dynasty league stash. The Cardinals are expected to part with Fitzgerald in the offseason.

Cardinals WR Jaron Brown caught 2-of-2 targets for 15 yards and a touchdown in Arizona's Week 9 win over the Cowboys.

Brown has five catches for 37 yards at the season's halfway point. He's miles from fantasy relevance in any format.

UDFA Jaron Brown appears to have sewn up the No. 4 wideout job.

Brown had just one catch for nine yards in Sunday's game against the Cardinals, but continues to run ahead of Ted Ginn. Fellow rookie John Brown is the No. 3 receiver. Through three preseason games, the 6'2/205 Jaron has 11 catches for 150 yards and one touchdown.

Cardinals WR Jaron Brown caught two passes for a team-high 86 yards in Saturday night's preseason game against the Vikings.

Brown has had a strong camp, drawing praise from coach Bruce Arians for his special teams prowess. He's now putting it together as a receiver. On Saturday, Brown out-jumped Vikings top CB Xavier Rhodes for a 35-yard catch. He beat Rhodes again for a 51-yard catch-and-run. Brown worked with the ones with Michael Floyd (groin) out. He has the edge for the No. 5 receiver spot.

Jaron Brown will step in as the Cardinals' No. 3 receiver if Michael Floyd (shoulder) can't play Sunday.

Brown is an undrafted rookie out of Clemson that has impressed coach Bruce Arians. He has eight catches for 86 yards and one touchdown on the season despite playing just 97 snaps all year. There's no re-draft appeal here, but Dynasty owners might be able to get a look at Brown against the Raiders.
