Lions activated RT LaAdrian Waddle from the active/PUP list.
Waddle tore his ACL late last season and missed all of camp to this point. Lions RT LaAdrian Waddle (knee) is targeting Week 1 for his return.

The Lions expect OT LaAdrian Waddle (ACL) to remain sidelined "for a bit."

Waddle underwent surgery in mid-January. It's obviously not surprising he'll remain sidelined "for a bit," but it's notable that the Lions aren't putting any sort of a timetable on his return. As it stands right now, the Lions' 2014 right tackle is a strong candidate to begin 2015 on the reserve/PUP list, costing him six games.
Mar 26 - 1:37 PM

Lions RT LaAdrian Waddle underwent surgery to repair his partially torn left ACL on Thursday.

Waddle was injured in Week 15. He should be considered questionable for training camp, and perhaps even Week 1. Waddle was doing a reasonably good job of holding down the right side of Detroit's line before going down, and should return as a 2015 starter as long as his health allows it. Waddle also battled head, ankle and calf issues in 2014.
Jan 15 - 9:00 PM

Lions RT LaAdrian Waddle has been diagnosed with a partially torn left ACL, and is done for the season.

He'll be sent to injured reserve. Waddle had previously battled head, ankle and calf issues this season, but was holding down the fort on Matthew Stafford's right side. Waddle has started 18 games over the past two seasons, and will likely return as a starter in 2015. Undrafted rookie Cornelius Lucas will bookend LT Riley Reiff for the rest of 2014.

Lions RT LaAdrian Waddle is expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in the Week 15 win over the Vikings.

Waddle has missed time with concussions, ankle, and calf injuries this season. He exited in the third quarter of Sunday's game and was carted to the locker room. Waddle has been a top-eight pass-blocking right tackle over at Pro Football Focus in 2014. UDFA Cornelius Lucas will fill in opposite LT Riley Reiff.

Lions RT LaAdrian Waddle (calf) is expected to return for Sunday's game against the Bills.

Lions RT LaAdrian Waddle (calf) has been ruled out for Week 2.

It's a sizable concern for the Lions as they get set to take on Carolina's Charles Johnson-Greg Hardy due. Waddle was an up-and-coming star on Detroit's offensive line. The 23-year-old is a high-quality pass protector.

Lions RT LaAdrian Waddle was forced from Monday night's Week 1 opener with a calf injury.

LaAdrian Waddle remains the favorite to start at right tackle for the Lions.

Waddle, 23 next month, is competing with 29-year-old Corey Hilliard. The organization is said to be "high on his future" after Waddle proved to be steady both in pass protection and as a run blocker in eight starts as an undrafted rookie last season. The Lions' front five is expected to be: LT Riley Reiff, LG Rob Sims, C Dominic Raiola, RG Larry Warford, and RT Waddle.

LaAdrian Waddle is considered the favorite for the Lions starting right tackle job.

Waddle started eight of the final nine games on the right side for Detroit as an undrafted rookie and received positive marks from Pro Football Focus as both a pass and run blocker. He's a big boy at 6-foot-6 and 321 pounds and dominated at times in the run game. Corey Hilliard will likely be the swing tackle.
