Titans re-signed RG Josh Kline to a four-year, $26 million contract.
This deal was reportedly close to done on Tuesday. Claimed off waivers from the Patriots in 2016, Kline started 32 of a possible 34 games, including the playoffs, the past two seasons. He's had bouts of uneven play, but the 28-year-old is expected to be a great fit in new OC Matt LaFleur's zone scheme. Mar 14 - 9:39 AM

The Titans are closing in on a multi-year deal to retain free agent RG Josh Kline.

Kline is expected to command in the range of $7-8 million annually. Far from a dominant force in Tennessee's old power-blocking scheme, Kline is expected to be a better fit for the Titans' new zone-blocking system.

ESPN's Cameron Wolfe reports the Titans and free agent OG Josh Kline "aren't close to a deal."

The Titans have issues at guard with both Kline and Quinton Spain headed to free agency. Kline would seem to be the bigger priority, but it does not sound like they will be able to lock him up before free agency opens next week. Wolfe thinks Kline is looking for around $7.5 million per year on his next deal.

Titans claimed OL Josh Kline off waivers from the Patriots.

CB Cody Riggs was waived in a corresponding roster move. It ends a strange week for Kline, who was traded to the Eagles then simply returned to the Patriots. The Pats went on to waive Kline even though he started 13 games last season. Titans GM Jon Robinson knows Kline from his time in New England. He'll slide in as a reserve along the interior in Tennessee.

Patriots waived OG Josh Kline.

Kline was expected to head to Philadelphia in a trade for CB Eric Rowe on Tuesday, but he was pulled from the deal. It's possible there were some concerns over his physical after playing through a serious shoulder injury last season. Kline started 13 games in 2015 and should garner another look.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports OG Josh Kline is no longer a part of the Patriots/Eagles' Eric Rowe trade, and remains in New England.

That's a new one, as even Patriots coach Bill Belichick had commented on Rowe being part of the deal. Kline didn't fail a physical. He was simply removed from the deal by Philadelphia. It means Kline remains one of the primary reserves along New England's interior line, but perhaps the Pats will work to move him elsewhere. It's possible he could even be released.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Eagles are in "deep discussions" to trade newly acquired OG Josh Kline.

If true, Kline may never play a game for Philadelphia. Kline started 13 games for the Patriots last year but was replaced at right guard by Jonathan Cooper this offseason. No front office has been busier than the Eagles this week.

Eagles acquired OG Josh Kline and a conditional fourth-round pick in 2018 from the Patriots in exchange for CB Eric Rowe.

Kline became expendable when the Patriots acquired Jonathan Cooper in the Chandler Jones trade. The 26-year-old will begin his Eagles tenure as a backup guard behind starters Brandon Brooks and Allen Barbre. Kline could vault into the starting lineup if LT Lane Johnson's PED suspension ever kicks in.

Patriots signed OG Josh Kline to a two-year, $3.3 million extension through 2017.

Kline can earn up to $4.9 million in incentives. A 2013 UDFA out of Kent State, Kline started five games last season including the Conference Championship win over the Colts and has started every game this year.

The Patriots are expected to start second-year OL Josh Kline at right guard in the AFC Championship game.

With Bryan Stork out, RG Ryan Wendell is expected to move into the open center position. That opens up a starting spot for Kline, who filled in at right guard after Stork left the Patriots' win over Baltimore last week. Kline earned negative pass blocking grades from Pro Football Focus in his two starts at right guard early in the season, but he was solid as a fill in at left guard the final two weeks of the year.

The Boston Globe's Zuri Berry said second-year G Josh Kline has been a "fast riser" in Patriots camp.

Kline earned the start at right guard in the Patriots' preseason opener while Dan Connolly started at center. With New England still searching for the right combination along the interior line, Kline has a real shot to earn a starting role this season. Kline played 115 snaps at left guard in 2013.
