Adam Thielen caught 3-of-9 targets for 28 yards in the Vikings' NFC Championship game loss to the Eagles.
Thielen is believed to have played this game with transverse process fractures in his back, helping to explain his ineffectiveness. It was a whimpering end to a terrific campaign for Thielen, who caught five-plus passes in 13-of-16 regular season games en route to a stellar 91/1,276/14.0/4 stat line. Although Thielen is sometimes described by the public and/or TV announcers as "not that fast," he ran 4.45 coming out of college and is averaging over 14 yards per catch in the pros. Forever underrated, 27-year-old Thielen has a bright future as a consistent WR2 in fantasy leagues. Jan 21 - 10:14 PM

Adam Thielen (back) is officially active for the NFC Championship Game.

Despite having a "couple of slight fractures," Thielen's status was never in doubt. Inactive for the Vikings are QB Teddy Bridgewater, QB Kyle Sloter, DT Shamar Stephen, RB Mack Brown, OG Danny Isidora, DE Tashawn Bower and C Cornelius Edison.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Adam Thielen (questionable, back) is dealing with a "couple of slight fractures" in his lower back.

Thielen suffered the injury on a hit from Marshon Lattimore late in last week's win over New Orleans. Per Rapoport, Thielen's injury is "extremely painful," though he plans to gut it out against the Eagles in Sunday's NFC title game. Stefon Diggs could be in for a bigger workload this week with Thielen operating at much less than 100 percent.

Adam Thielen (questionable, back) will play in Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Eagles.

He missed some practice time with a lower back injury this week, though his status for Sunday was never in question. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Thielen will be playing through "plenty of pain," so it's fair to question how effective he'll be or if the Vikings would even consider using him as a decoy. If Thielen is limited or suffers an in-game setback, it would open up targets for Stefon Diggs and Kyle Rudolph

Adam Thielen (back) is questionable for Sunday's NFC Championship game against the Eagles.

Thielen has been working through a low back issue all week. He's fully expected to play after practicing on a limited basis the last two days. Thielen may not be 100 percent but should be fine for his normal snaps.

Adam Thielen (back) participated in Thursday's practice.

He was officially limited. Thielen sat out Wednesday with a lower back issue, but it never seemed like a real concern. Barring a setback, he should be ready to face the Eagles on Sunday.

Adam Thielen (back) didn't practice on Wednesday.

He's reportedly dealing with a lower back injury. Thielen seemed fine in the Divisional Round—he played 75-of-79 snaps in a win over New Orleans—so it's possible the Vikings are simply treating Wednesday as a maintenance day for their top receiver. It would be a shock if he's not ready for Sunday's NFC title game in Philly.
Jan 17 - 4:04 PM

Adam Thielen pulled in six catches for 74 yards on nine targets Sunday in the Vikings’ Divisional Round win over the Saints.

Thielen was productive despite being shadowed by stud rookie Marshon Lattimore for much of the afternoon. He saved his best play for last, making a circus catch on a 24-yard dart from Case Keenum with under two minutes left in the fourth quarter. Lattimore interfered with him on the play but Thielen caught it in anyway, setting up a field goal that staked Minnesota to a two-point lead with 1:29 remaining. Thielen and the Vikes can punch their ticket to Super Bowl LI with a win at Philadelphia next week.
Jan 14 - 9:17 PM

Adam Thielen caught 6-of-7 targets for 61 yards in the Vikings' Week 17 win over the Bears.

Thielen finishes the regular season with a career-high 1,276 yards, though just 115 of that came over the past three weeks. Rather flukily, just four of Thielen's 91 catches found the end zone. The breakout wideout has two weeks to rest up for the Divisional Round.

Adam Thielen caught 2-of-6 targets for 24 yards in the Vikings' Week 16 win over the Packers.

Thielen was a major fantasy title-week bust as Case Keenum missed him for a would-be touchdown pass in the second half, and the Vikings essentially took their foot off the gas while cruising to an easy, unchallenged 16-0 win. Minnesota will close out its successful regular season in Week 17 versus the Bears.

Adam Thielen caught 3-of-5 targets for 30 yards in the Vikings' Week 15 win over the Bengals.

This was Thielen's second game with less than five catches this season. He didn't play bad, the Vikings just didn't need to throw the ball in a rout of the Bengals. Thielen will be a WR1 against the Packers in Week 16.

Adam Thielen is not listed on the Vikings' Week 15 injury report.

Thielen was limited in Wednesday's practice with a knee injury, but he participated fully on both Thursday and Friday and will start versus Cincinnati.

Adam Thielen (knee) was upgraded to "full" in Thursday's practice.

Thielen was just getting some maintenance on Wednesday. He's a top-five option for Week 15 against the Bengals.

Adam Thielen (knee) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

It's a new injury for Thielen, but the limited practice suggests it's not a Week 15 concern. Thielen has at least 50 yards or a touchdown in five straight weeks. He's a WR1 for Sunday's matchup with the Bengals.

Adam Thielen caught 6-of-13 targets for 105 yards and one touchdown in the Vikings' 31-24, Week 14 loss to the Panthers.

Thielen was pretty quiet before exploding for a 52-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to bring the Vikings within three points. They later tied it a couple minutes later after a Cam Newton interception, but Cam had the last laugh in the late win. Thielen could have had a much bigger day, but he dropped a four-yard touchdown and then caught it two plays later but the refs then overturned the touchdown on review because of a Thielen bobble. Thielen is just humming along as an every-week WR1 and gets the Bengals at home in Week 15.
