Adam Thielen (knee) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

It's a new injury for Thielen, but the limited practice suggests it's not a Week 15 concern. Thielen has at least 50 yards or a touchdown in five straight weeks. He's a WR1 for Sunday's matchup with the Bengals.
Dec 13 - 4:45 PM

Adam Thielen caught 6-of-13 targets for 105 yards and one touchdown in the Vikings' 31-24, Week 14 loss to the Panthers.

Thielen was pretty quiet before exploding for a 52-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to bring the Vikings within three points. They later tied it a couple minutes later after a Cam Newton interception, but Cam had the last laugh in the late win. Thielen could have had a much bigger day, but he dropped a four-yard touchdown and then caught it two plays later but the refs then overturned the touchdown on review because of a Thielen bobble. Thielen is just humming along as an every-week WR1 and gets the Bengals at home in Week 15.
Dec 10 - 4:22 PM

Adam Thielen hauled in 4-of-5 targets for 51 yards in the Vikings' Week 13 win over the Falcons.

Thielen’s first catch did not come until the final play of the first half, but he had a couple chances to make big plays before the break. Case Keenum did not see him on one of them, and he just could not get his feet down in bounds on another. He was able to make a couple catches in the second half including a 22-yarder which helped close out the game, but it is a disappointing stat line for a player who had been on fire. He will look to get back on track next week in Carolina.
Dec 3 - 3:52 PM

Adam Thielen caught 8-of-11 targets for 89 yards in the Vikings' Thanksgiving win over the Lions.

The 80-yard effort was Thielen's fourth straight, and pushed him over 1,000 for the season. Thielen and Antonio Brown are the only players currently past the 1K mark. Thielen made a number of tough grabs, and seemed to always be open. What else is new. Playing genuinely superb football, Thielen will be a high-end WR1 for Week 13 against the Falcons.
Nov 23 - 4:16 PM

Adam Thielen caught 6-of-9 targets for 123 yards and one touchdown in the Vikings' Week 11 win over the Rams.

The Rams were doing well in containing both Thielen and Stefon Diggs, but then starting CB Kayvon Webster suffered a mid-game concussion and UDFA rookie Dominique Hatfield was way overmatched on the right side of the defense. Case Keenum kept throwing at him, and Thielen made the big play with a 65-yard touchdown on a play that should have only gained one yard. The corner missed the tackle at the line and Thielen went untouched the rest of the way. Thielen is as locked in as they come as a WR1 and brings week-to-week consistency at the level of Antonio Brown. He gets the Lions next on Thanksgiving Day this week.
Nov 19 - 5:49 PM

Adam Thielen caught 8-of-12 targets for 166 yards a touchdown in Sunday's Week 10 victory over Washington.

Thielen put on a clinic, terrorizing the Washington secondary out of the slot and making catches draped in coverage all afternoon. Thielen basically set up his 7-yard touchdown all by himself, catching passes of 38 and 17 yards on two of the prior three plays. He entered the game second in the league with 11 receptions of 20 yards or more and added receptions of 38, 38 and 49 yards on Sunday. He's had one of the strongest fantasy floors on the season, catching five or more passes on every game this season while offering upside with the amount of splash plays he creates. Thielen is a set and forget option next week when Minnesota hosts the Rams.
Nov 12 - 4:30 PM

Adam Thielen hauled in 5-of-10 targets for 98 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings' Week 8 win over the Browns in London.

With the offense scuffling early, Thielen helped turn things around with a great grab to convert a long third down midway through the first quarter. He looked like he had another long gain in the second quarter, but it was called back on a chop block. Thielen rectified the situation with a 22-yard gain a couple snaps later, and he found the end zone from 18 yards out near the end of the first half. The receiver kept it up in the second half, contributing a couple big gains as the Vikings pulled away. The big plays were good to see after Thielen and the passing game struggled to create them without Stefon Diggs in the lineup the last two games. Even with Diggs back, Thielen will be in the WR2 mix against Washington following the bye.
Oct 29 - 12:54 PM

Adam Thielen caught 5-of-12 targets for 41 yards in the Vikings' Week 7 win over the Ravens.

A combination of Case Keenum's inaccuracy and good defense by the Ravens contributed to Thielen's off day despite heavy volume. Kyle Rudolph finished second on the Vikings in targets but had only seven. Expect Thielen to bounce back with a far more efficient Week 8 game against the Browns, who have allowed the most fantasy points in the league to slot receivers this season.
Oct 22 - 4:01 PM

Adam Thielen caught 9-of-13 targets for 97 yards in the Vikings' Week 6 win over the Packers.

With Stefon Diggs (groin) out, Thielen was the clear go-to guy for Case Keenum, doing work against a secondary ravaged by injuries. It's unclear how long Diggs will be out, but Thielen will be a solid WR2 against the Ravens in Week 7.
Oct 15 - 5:16 PM

Adam Thielen caught 5-of-8 targets for 34 yards in the Vikings' Week 5 win over the Bears.

He added an 11-yard carry. With Stefon Diggs suffering a groin injury and spending much of the second half on the sideline, it was Thielen and Kyle Rudolph in the pass game while Jerick McKinnon did all of the heavy lifting as a runner. The yards and catches have been there for Thielen through five weeks, but he's yet to score. He'll be a WR2/3 next week against the Packers at home.
Oct 10 - 12:21 AM

Adam Thielen caught 5-of-8 targets for 49 yards in the Vikings' Week 4 loss to the Lions.

Case Keenum only threw for 209 scoreless yards in the defeat, but he should have had a touchdown to Thielen. Instead, Keenum checked it down to Jerick McKinnon on the play and it fell incomplete. Thielen was wide open in the end zone behind McKinnon, but Keenum didn't see it. Thielen's late lost fumble in the fourth quarter with the Vikings trailing by seven essentially ended the game. Thielen will again be a strong WR3 play next week against the Bears.
Oct 1 - 6:37 PM

Adam Thielen caught 5-of-8 targets for 98 yards in the Vikings' Week 3 win over the Buccaneers.

Thielen got the offensive bonanza started by whipping Bucs CB Vernon Hargreaves for a 45-yard gain down the left sideline on Minnesota's opening drive. He was a chain mover thereafter while Stefon Diggs and Dalvin Cook scored the Vikings' touchdowns. Thielen remains one of the most underrated wideouts in the league, but he's likely to remain inconsistent along with his quarterback play. He will be a volatile WR3/flex in Week 4 against Detroit.
Sep 24 - 4:25 PM

Adam Thielen caught 5-of-6 targets for 44 yards in the Vikings' Week 2 loss to the Steelers.

Thielen had a 24-yard grab but was kept at bay the remainder of the day in a game Case Keenum started under center and managed just 167 yards on 37 attempts. Sam Bradford (knee) is expected back next week against the Bucs, which would boost the offense back up. Thielen remains a strong WR3.
Sep 17 - 4:59 PM

Adam Thielen caught 9-of-10 targets for 157 yards in the Vikings' Week 1 win over the Saints.

Thielen did whatever he wanted; the entire Vikings offense did for that matter. Thielen and Stefon Diggs combined for 16 catches for 250 yards and two touchdowns on 18 targets. Working out of the slot most of the night, Thielen walked whichever defensive back was lined up opposite him. If Week 1 is any indication, the passing offense is going to take more downfield shots and run through Diggs and Thielen. Thielen was one of our favorite underrated WR4 picks in fantasy drafts this summer. He has big potential in all formats after averaging 14.0 YPR in 2016. Thielen will be a strong WR3 play next week at Pittsburgh.
