Adam Thielen caught 4-of-5 targets for 54 yards Week 1 against the Titans.
Thielen worked as the clear No. 3 receiver in this game and showed much better than starter Charles Johnson. His most important contribution was a diving 16-yard grab on third down to keep a scoring drive alive in the fourth quarter. Thielen could keep his role even if first-round rookie Laquon Treadwell jumps Johnson on the depth chart. Sep 11 - 5:28 PM

ESPN Vikings reporter Ben Goessling said WR Adam Thielen has gotten "consistent work with the top three-receiver set."

That was the unit Thielen worked with in the preseason opener, where he caught one pass for 22 yards. It is possible Thielen is seeing more work because Jarius Wright is sidelined with an undisclosed injury, but he was taking those snaps even before Wright went down. Thielen would need a rash of injuries in front of him to garner fantasy consideration in the Vikings' low-volume passing offense, but it looks like he could open the season as the No. 3 receiver.

Adam Thielen caught 6-of-8 targets for 70 yards in Minnesota's Week 4 loss to the Broncos.

With Charles Johnson (ribs) inactive and Jarius Wright (hand) glued to the sideline, Thielen was the Vikings' No. 2 receiver. Thielen has stepped up for a team that's needed him the past two weeks, but there's nothing resembling re-draft value here.

Vikings WR Adam Thielen caught three passes for 68 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 17 win over the Bears.

Primarily a special teamer, Thielen entered this game with just 69 receiving yards all year. His playing time was bumped when Jarius Wright left early with a back injury. Ordinarily, Thielen is the Vikings' No. 5 receiver.

Vikings second-year WR Adam Thielen has a chance to win the No. 5 receiver job out of camp.

An UDFA out of Minnesota State-Mankato, Thielen spent all of his rookie season on the Vikings practice squad. He is making a strong statement for the 53-man roster this offseason, with Vikings GM Rick Spielman singling him out as a player who has "really stuck out." Thielen needs to continue his impressive play into training camp if he hopes to nab a roster spot.
