Giants coach Ben McAdoo has given up play-calling duties.
OC Mike Sullivan called Sunday's upset of the Broncos, which saw the G-Men batter Denver's previously No. 1 ranked run defense on the ground. Eli Manning was forced to stay within himself, attempting only 19 passes. New York's offense has struggled for points the entirety of McAdoo's time as head coach. The reality is, Sullivan's insertion isn't going to make up for the Giants' personnel issues, but a change was overdue. Oct 15 - 11:41 PM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Giants coach Ben McAdoo is not on the hot seat.

"The Giants believe he is still a future very successful coach," Rapoport said. "This is expected to be just a blip on the radar for the Giants." This is not surprising considering the Giants have not traditionally made in-season changes, but ownership's resolve could be tested if the team continues to lose. The 0-4 Giants host the 0-4 Chargers on Sunday.

Giants coach Ben McAdoo will continue to call plays this week.

McAdoo considered giving up playcalling with the offense managing just one touchdown through the first two weeks. The Giants "remain committed to their plan" after McAdoo decided against giving the title to OC Mike Sullivan in the offseason. McAdoo will call plays for at least another week, but there could be some offensive changes in a must-win game with the Eagles.

Giants coach Ben McAdoo could surrender play-calling duties.

McAdoo toyed with the idea in the offseason before deciding against it. The G-Men have averaged an abysmal 17.9 points in 18 games with McAdoo as head coach, so a change is arguably overdue. OC Mike Sullivan would likely take the reins were McAdoo to relinquish them.

Giants coach Ben McAdoo is undecided on if he will continue calling plays in 2017.

The Giants' play-caller the past three seasons, McAdoo's offense was stunningly ineffective his first year as head coach. OC Mike Sullivan has worked alongside McAdoo for the past two seasons, and called plays for the Bucs in 2012-13. Handing off play-calling duties could give the offense a jolt while allowing McAdoo more time to focus on the overall team.

The NFL has fined the Giants $150,000 for their illegal use of walkie talkies in Week 14.

Coach Ben McAdoo has also been fined 50 grand, while the Giants' 2017 fourth-rounder has been moved to the back of the pack. It's another melodramatic punishment in a league prone to them. That being said, the rules are clear and for some reason the Giants thought they could get away with violating them. They were wrong.

ESPN New York reports the league is investigating the Giants' use a a walkie-talkie to call plays in the fourth quarter of last week's win over the Cowboys.

The investigation follows a formal complaint by the Cowboys. The G-Men used the walkie-talkies for one drive because they were having problems with their headsets. Walkie-talkies are not allowed because they cannot be turned off with 15 seconds left on the play clock, as mandated by league rules. Perhaps a fine is coming.

Giants promoted OC Ben McAdoo to head coach.

In the announcement, owner John Mara said "we want a coach who feels like he has something to prove." Tom Coughlin, one of the most intense humans on the planet, apparently no longer wanted it enough in the eyes of his owner. McAdoo is expected to retain Steve Spagnuolo as defensive coordinator, and promote QBs coach Mike Sullivan to offensive coordinator. Except for the front man, the G-Men are keeping the band together. It's good news for Eli Manning and the offense, less so for the defense, where GM Jerry Reese has allowed for a staggering erosion of talent.

The New York Daily News reports the Giants are "closing in on a deal" with OC Ben McAdoo that would make him the team's next head coach.

Hue Jackson spurned the Giants in favor of the Browns, while a Wednesday morning report that McAdoo was in the division-rival Eagles crosshairs may have played a big role in the G-Men's increased aggressiveness. McAdoo's promotion would ensure stability for an offensive roster that is playoff caliber or close to it. It will be on slumping GM Jerry Reese to upgrade the other side of the ball.

ESPN's Adam Schefter considers Giants OC Ben McAdoo the "frontrunner" for the Eagles' head-coaching job.

"In my mind, my sense -- these are just senses -- is that McAdoo is the front-runner," Schefter said. "But I don't know that to be right. I think [Chiefs OC Doug] Pederson and McAdoo both are square in the conversation. But to me, I would handicap McAdoo as the favorite for whatever that's worth and we'll see if that's proven right." Schefter doesn't consider ex-Giants coach Tom Coughlin a realistic option for the Eagles, citing his age.

The Eagles will interview Giants OC Ben McAdoo for their head-coaching vacancy on Thursday.

McAdoo is also in the running to replace Tom Coughlin with the Giants. Eli Manning badly wants McAdoo to stay in New York, but the Giants are going through the interview process with multiple candidates. McAdoo interviewed for the gig on Tuesday. The Giants finished 10th and eighth in total offense in McAdoo's two seasons on the job. It's a high-paced scheme.

The Giants are expected to consider OC Ben McAdoo for their head-coaching vacancy.

Eli Manning strongly hinted Monday that he supports McAdoo as Tom Coughlin's replacement. If the Giants turn their team over to an out-of-house option, that new coach would likely want to hire his own offensive coordinator, and change the system for Eli. Manning said he believed that change might be difficult. McAdoo should be a serious consideration for the G-Men.

FOX Sports' Alex Marvez reports the Eagles are interested in Giants OC Ben McAdoo for their head-coaching vacancy.

McAdoo could be out of a job himself if Tom Coughlin is fired or resigns this week, although Eli Manning has repeatedly expressed his desire for McAdoo to remain in New York. McAdoo was a surprise hire by the Giants two seasons ago, but New York finished top-ten in total offense in each of his two seasons running the show. McAdoo likely does not have enough experience to be a legitimate candidate, but he is certainly on the head-coach track.

Giants hired Packers QBs coach Ben McAdoo as offensive coordinator.

The news comes out of left field, as McAdoo had just interviewed with the Dolphins on Tuesday, and was reportedly a candidate to replace Jim Caldwell in Baltimore. McAdoo interviewed with the G-Men last week. McAdoo was considered the favorite to replace Mike Sherman in Miami, partly because of his experience working alongside Joe Philbin in Green Bay. For New York, McAdoo is a departure from Tom Coughlin's coaching tree. Former Bucs OC Mike Sullivan, who served as a Giants assistant from 2004-11, was considered the most likely candidate to replace Kevin Gilbride. McAdoo has zero NFL play-calling experience, but a new voice is needed for a broken offense.

Packers QBs coach Ben McAdoo is interviewing with the Dolphins for their offensive coordinator vacancy Tuesday.

Although he's never been a coordinator, McAdoo is a prime candidate to fill Mike Sherman's shoes as he worked with Joe Philbin in Green Bay. He's also studied under Mike McCarthy for a decade and counts Aaron Rodgers as a reference. McAdoo is also a candidate for the Giants' OC job.
