Ka'Deem Carey rushed two times for three yards in the Bears' Week 8 win over the Vikings.
He played just six snaps as the No. 2 back behind Jordan Howard. Howard handled 30 touches on 50 snaps as the clear-cut lead dog Monday night. Howard developed the hot hand by taking his second carry of the night for 69 yards. Coach John Fox rode him the rest of the way. Carey was still ahead of Jeremy Langford (five snaps), who was making his return from an ankle injury. Nov 1 - 12:07 AM

CSN Chicago's John Mullin believes the Bears will ride the "hot hand" at running back Monday night against the Vikings.

Mullin "thinks" Ka'Deem Carey will pace the backfield in touches, but Jeremy Langford or Jordan Howard could just as easily lead the team. This is a situation to avoid if at all possible, especially considering the matchup. Matt Asiata is a much better option in the 33 percent of leagues he is still available.
Oct 31 - 9:43 AM

Ka'Deem Carey managed 48 yards on 10 carries and caught his only target for nine yards Thursday in the Bears' Week 7 loss to the Packers.

He out-touched Jordan Howard 11-7 and outgained him by 35 yards (57-22). His longest run came on a 24-yard burst midway through the second quarter. Carey’s standalone value is still limited but his increased presence has been a big drain on Howard’s production over the last two weeks. Carey gets a tough matchup against Minnesota in Week 8.
Oct 21 - 12:49 AM

Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring) is questionable for Week 7 against the Packers.

He'll be fine after being limited all week. Carey siphoned nine carries from Jordan Howard last week, running for 50 yards. This could be more of a committee moving forward after Carey out-gained Howard in Week 6.
Oct 19 - 4:03 PM

Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring) was limited in Monday and Tuesday's practices.

Carey played through the issue in Week 6, and avoided setbacks. He'll be ready to go as Jordan Howard's backup for Thursday night's game against the Packers.
Oct 18 - 7:38 PM

Ka'Deem Carey rushed nine times for 50 yards in the Bears' Week 6 loss to the Jaguars.

Carey actually led the Bears in rushing, but was just a breather back for starter Jordan Howard. The 50 yards were the third most of Carey's three-year career. Carey is the clear No. 2 in Jeremy Langford's absence, but has zero standalone value, and is a bottom-shelf handcuff.
Oct 16 - 5:38 PM

Bears RB Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring) is active for Week 6 against the Jaguars.

Carey will have a small role behind workhorse Jordan Howard.
Oct 16 - 11:42 AM

Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring) has remained "limited" in Bears practice.

Carey returned in Week 5 and will play against the Jaguars. He'll be lucky to get 3-4 touches behind Jordan Howard.
Oct 13 - 6:45 PM

Bears WR Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring) will play against the Colts in Week 5.

Carey is back after missing two weeks with a bad hamstring. He'll serve as the Bears' No. 2 running back behind workhorse Jordan Howard. Carey has logged seven rushing yards on only three carries this season. He can be left on the waiver wire.
Oct 9 - 8:23 AM

Bears RB Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 5.

It's an upgrade from the last several weeks, where Carey was listed as doubtful. Carey should not pose a significant threat to Jordan Howard's workload, but he would give the Bears a viable No. 2 back, upgrading on Joique Bell.
Oct 7 - 1:47 PM

Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring) got in a limited practice Thursday.

He was also limited Wednesday. It is a step in the correct direction after missing all of last week. Carey will likely be listed a questionable on Friday, but he looks on track to play. He could steal a touch or two from Jordan Howard, but the rookie is the unquestioned lead back in Chicago.
Oct 6 - 5:19 PM

Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Week 4.

Jordan Howard will be the Bears' every-down back against Detroit.
Sep 30 - 1:38 PM

Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring) is not practicing Wednesday.

He's not expected to play this week after going down early in Week 2. Jordan Howard will get the start, with Joique Bell and Raheem Mostert as backups.
Sep 28 - 2:29 PM

Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Week 3.

Rookie Jordan Howard is becoming a very interesting sleeper with Carey on the shelf and Jeremy Langford struggling. Carey left Monday night's loss to the Eagles and did not return. He has no known timetable to return.
Sep 23 - 1:31 PM

Ka'Deem Carey exited Week 2 against the Eagles with a hamstring injury.

Carey was splitting snaps with Jeremy Langford in the first quarter, but Carey quickly got hurt. Langford ended the first half with five yards and one touchdown on four carries. Rookie Jordan Howard got some reps in the third quarter.
