Jaguars CB Aaron Colvin exited the team's Week 1 game against the Panthers with a shoulder injury.

He is questionable to return. Colvin put a harness on his left shoulder on the sideline, but he was in clear pain trying to put his shoulder pads back on. Dwayne Gratz replaced Colvin.

Second-year CB Aaron Colvin has supplanted Demetrius McCray as the starter opposite Davon House.

Colvin is working as an outside corner in base sets and covering the slot in nickel. Injury concerns pushed Colvin to the fourth round last year, but he is a first-round talent who is apparently putting it on display in camp. He should offer a big boost to the Jaguars' pass defense.
Aug 22 - 9:08 AM

Second-year CB Aaron Colvin is expected to open the season as a starter.

Colvin appears to be outplaying Demetrius McCray opposite Davon House. A 2014 fourth-round pick, Colvin redshirted most of his rookie year on the injured reserve-designated for return list after tearing his ACL at the 2014 Senior Bowl. Colvin might have been a first-round pick if healthy last offseason. In nickel, Colvin figures to cover the slot with McCray entering outside.
Aug 8 - 11:11 PM

Jaguars second-year CB Aaron Colvin "stood out consistently" during the offseason program.

A torn ACL suffered in the Senior Bowl prevented Colvin from playing early his rookie year, but he recovered in time to make six appearances late in the season. Now completely healthy and up to 197 pounds, Colvin should take a big step forward as a sophomore. He is the favorite to win the Jaguars' first-team slot corner job in camp.
Jul 11 - 10:20 AM

Jaguars second-year CB Aaron Colvin is up to 197 pounds.

Colvin tipped the scales at 177 at last year's Combine following a torn ACL at the Senior Bowl and finished the season at 186. At 5-foot-11, he can carry the added weight. Colvin made six appearances at the end of last season after being activated from the reserve/NFI list. He has a chance to win the Jaguars' first-team slot cornerback job in training camp.
Apr 22 - 1:26 PM

Jaguars activated CB Aaron Colvin (knee) off the reserve/NFI list.

Colvin tore his ACL at the Senior Bowl, but has been practicing for the past few weeks. He's expected to make his NFL debut when the Jaguars come out of their bye in Week 12. Jacksonville has been decimated by injuries at corner.

Jaguars rookie CB Aaron Colvin (knee, NFI) remains on track to make his debut at some point in November.

He tore his ACL at the Senior Bowl. Colvin was recently cleared to begin running full speed, and it was determined that his knee is full strength. He may be permitted to begin practicing as soon as next week, which would then give the Jaguars a 21-day window to activate him. Colvin could end up being a starter for the Jaguars in 2015 if he can return to his pre-injury form.

Jaguars rookie CB Aaron Colvin's surgically-repaired right knee is back to full strength.

Colvin cleared the hurdle this week. The Jaguars now fully expect him to play this season. He's on the reserve?NFI list, and will miss at least the next three games before he's eligible to return. Colvin will likely play limited snaps just to get his feet wet this year before pushing for a starting job in 2015.

Jaguars placed CB Aaron Colvin (knee) on the reserve/NFI list.

As expected. Colvin will miss at least the first six games of the season, and may sit out the whole year after tearing his ACL at the Senior Bowl. If the Jaguars are in contention, Colvin might get a look late in the season.

Jaguars signed fourth-round CB Aaron Colvin to a four-year contract.

Colvin would have gone higher in the draft had he not been coming off a torn ACL. He ripped his knee up at the Senior Bowl and is a lock to start the season on the reserve/PUP list. The Jags believe he could contribute at some point later this season. Either way, Colvin could compete for a starting job as soon as 2015.

The Jaguars believe fourth-round CB Aaron Colvin (torn ACL) can contribute later this season.

Colvin is a lock for the reserve/PUP list after tearing his ACL at the Senior Bowl, but there's some in the organization who think he can return to the field for the stretch run. That will depend on many factors, but our best guess is Colvin will ultimately "redshirt" as a rookie. He could push to start in 2015.

Jaguars selected Oklahoma CB Aaron Colvin with the No. 114 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.

Colvin (5-foot-11 3/8, 186) was a two-time first-team All-Big 12 selection, racking up 15 career tackles for loss and five interceptions as a versatile piece in Bob Stoops' secondary. He saw action at both safety and corner for the Sooners. Unfortunately, Colvin tore his ACL at the Senior Bowl and underwent surgery on January 27. Colvin was generating top-50 buzz before the tough break, but is now likely to "redshirt" as a rookie. He could push for playing time in 2015.

Oklahoma CB Aaron Colvin underwent ACL surgery on Monday.

Colvin suffered the ligament tear in Senior Bowl practice. A second-day pick possibility before the ACL injury, Colvin now figures to be available in rounds 5-7. The good news is he suffered a "clean" tear, involving only the ACL. Colvin will have a chance to contribute late in his rookie season.

Oklahoma CB Aaron Colvin suffered a torn ACL in Tuesday's Senior Bowl practice.

It's a brutal blow for a late-blooming player who turned himself into a legitimate prospect with a strong finish to his senior season. Rotoworld's Josh Norris believes the 5-foot-11, 186-pound corner could still come off the board on day three, but he's not going to be ready for Week 1. Colvin will likely have to "redshirt" as a rookie.
