The Bucs plan to reevaluate Jameis Winston (shoulder) this week.
Winston has been shut down the last two weeks. The Bucs never gave Winston a timetable, but he could return in Week 12 if he gets cleared. With Ryan Fitzpatrick leading Tampa to two straight wins, it's possible the Bucs move Winston slowly. Winston was having a career-worst year before going down. Nov 19 - 7:50 PM

Eagles CB Ronald Darby said he was in the car with Jameis Winston on the night of his alleged groping incident and claims Winston did "nothing inappropriate."

Winston has been accused of groping a female Uber driver while waiting for a fast-food pickup on March 13, 2016 in Scottsdale, Arizona, though Winston's camp has denied the allegations. Darby, a college teammate of Winston's, has corroborated Winston's claim that he was not alone in the car, claiming there were "three of us" and that "Jameis did not have any physical contact with the Uber driver." The NFL is still looking into the incident.

NFL Network's Steve Wyche reports the league isn't expected to take "any immediate action" against Jameis Winston.

Winston is week to week with a shoulder injury, but will be eligible to play when healthy. He's not a candidate for the commissioner/exempt list because there's no police report in his March 2016 incident. The NFL is reportedly "still in the early fact gathering stage." Winston will likely play out the rest of the year while the investigation unfolds.

The NFL is investigating Jameis Winston for allegedly groping an Uber driver in March 2016.

The driver says Winston groped her crotch at a fast food restaurant drive thru as they were waiting for Winston's food around 2 AM on March 13 in Scottsdale, Ariz. The driver, "Kate", reported the incident to Uber but did not go to police. Winston was accused of rape in 2012 at Florida State but wasn't charged in the matter. 2017 is only becoming more of a headache for the Bucs.

Bucs coach Dirk Koetter thinks Jameis Winston (shoulder) will return this season.

"From what I know, I do," Koetter said. "I know Jameis is planning on playing again and there's been no discussion between [GM Jason Licht], myself of him not playing again. That would all be something that would have to come up in the future." Winston will sit out at least this week, and Licht has made it sound like he will miss even more time after that. With his return at best uncertain, Winston is not a must-hold in standard-sized leagues.
Nov 14 - 9:08 AM

Bucs GM Jason Licht said Jameis Winston (shoulder) may miss "an extended period of time."

"There is no timeline on this," Licht continued. Winston sprained his AC joint four weeks ago and aggravated it last week against the Saints and is now being shut down for an indefinite amount of time. At 2-6, the Bucs' season is essentially already over. Ryan Fitzpatrick will continue to start.
Nov 12 - 2:14 PM

Bucs declared QB Jameis Winston, OL Caleb Benenoch, DL Will Gholston, CB Robert McClain, C Joe Hawley, TE Antony Auclair, and DT Sealver Siliga inactive for Week 10 against the Jets.

Ryan Fitzpatrick gets the start in this "revenge" game against his old team.
Nov 12 - 11:46 AM

Jameis Winston (shoulder) visited Dr. James Andrews on Tuesday.

Winston calls it "standard protocol," but anytime a player visits Andrews it's reason for concern. The plan for now is Winston rests for a couple weeks and then goes from there. It's possible we don't see him again this season.
Nov 8 - 12:42 PM

Jameis Winston (shoulder) will be shut down for "at least" the next two weeks.

An MRI apparently revealed "more damage," but nothing structural. The time is certainly right to shut Winston down after he failed to finish two of the past four games. Winston also appeared in need of a mental reset after Sunday's blowout loss in New Orleans. These will be the first games Winston has missed in his three-year NFL career. Ryan Fitzpatrick will get the Week 10 start against the Jets, and be on the streaming radar against his former team. Daily Slant: Back in Week 6, Fitzpatrick threw for 290 yards and three TDs despite not starting. He struggled against the Saints but New Orleans has developed a tough pass defense this season - over the past four weeks, they're holding QBs to the 9th-fewest fantasy points. During the same stretch, the Jets have allowed the 4th-most and on the season, they’ve allowed the most passing TDs (19). Fitz is an interesting GPP option at $4.9k on DK.
Nov 6 - 2:47 PM

Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston (shoulder) is questionable to return in Sunday's Week 9 game versus the Saints.

Winston played the entire first half, completing 7-of-13 passes for 67 yards with eight yards rushing on two carries, before Ryan Fitzpatrick took over out of halftime. The staff is officially calling Winston questionable to return, but Dirk Koetter stated it would only be in an emergency situation. Winston took several hits while being erratic on any throws downfield. His shoulder injury is likely to be an ongoing issue until he officially takes the time to let it heal.
Nov 5 - 2:53 PM

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms Jameis Winston (questionable, shoulder) will start Week 9 against the Saints.

Winston didn't look healthy in last week's loss to Carolina, but actually saw more practice reps than he had in previous weeks. He'll be a back-end QB1 against an improved Saints secondary.
Nov 5 - 8:04 AM

Jameis Winston (shoulder) is questionable for Week 9 against the Saints.

He should be fine after putting in a full practice on Friday. Winston is looking for a bounce-back effort after struggling mightily in Week 8 (21-for-38, 210 yards, two interceptions versus Carolina).
Nov 3 - 4:45 PM

Jameis Winston (shoulder) said he is "feeling better."

Winston has been playing through an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder since Week 6, but there was some concern he would be forced to miss time after he struggled against the Panthers last Sunday. Winston threw during Wednesday's practice, however, and seems to be on track to start against the Saints. He will be a low-end QB1 in that matchup.
Nov 2 - 11:55 AM

Jameis Winston (shoulder) is throwing at Wednesday's practice.

He was listed as a limited participant. The past two weeks, Winston hadn't thrown the ball until Friday each week due to a sprained AC joint. It worked in Week 7 against the Bills, but Winston failed miserably last week against Carolina, though the wind may have contributed to the bad game. The Bucs will likely see how Winston responds to a week of throwing and then make a call for Sunday's start in New Orleans.
Nov 1 - 1:48 PM

On Monday, Bucs coach Dirk Koetter was noncommittal about Jameis Winston's (shoulder) availability for Week 9 against the Saints.

Koetter admitted he considered pulling Winston out of Sunday's loss to the Panthers after a hit. Winston has been playing with an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder. "Nothing will be decided on that until Wednesday based on what the medical staff says and how Jameis feels," Koetter said Monday. In the event Winston can't play against the Saints, Ryan Fitzpatrick would start.
