Jameis Winston completed 28-of-51 passes for 363 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions in the Bucs' Week 17 comeback win over the Saints.
The Bucs finished their season on a high note with a comeback win to push the Saints to 11-5. The dagger was Winston's 39-yard fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Chris Godwin. Although Winston’s 2017 was an all-in-all disappointment due largely to a recurring throwing-shoulder injury, he did finish strong with a 10:5 TD-to-INT ratio and nearly 70-percent completion rate across his final five games. Winston never quite got on the same page with DeSean Jackson, however, and the Bucs failed to realize their theoretical potential at least partly due to Winston’s penchant for random boneheaded turnovers. Nevertheless, Winston will be a bounce-back target in 2018 fantasy drafts as a late-round quarterback pick. The Bucs’ decision to retain Dirk Koetter was widely panned, but it ensures Winston will maintain offensive scheme continuity with his arrow still pointing up. Sun, Dec 31, 2017 07:37:00 PM

Jameis Winston completed 21-of-27 passes for 367 yards and one touchdown in the Bucs' 22-19, Week 16 loss to the Panthers.

Coming off his best game of the season last Monday night against the Falcons, Winston's numbers again look good on paper. But he held the ball too long in this one and turned it over multiple times once again. Winston took six sacks on the day, with a couple being way too deep and one for a loss of 13 yards on first-and-goal. Winston lost three fumbles, two early in the first half and the final with 35 seconds left and the Bucs down by three. It's a huge thing Winston needs to work on in the offseason; he has to take better care of the ball. He's thrown 41 picks and fumbled 31 times with one game left in his third season. The 4-11 Bucs host the Saints in Week 17.

Jameis Winston completed 27-of-35 passes for 299 yards and three touchdowns in the Bucs' 24-21, Week 15 loss to the Falcons.

Winston played one of his best games of the season despite the Bucs coming up short on the scoreboard. His first touchdown went to O.J. Howard where he went through his progressions and found him wide-open on the opposite side of the field. His second touchdown was a 42-yard bomb to Mike Evans who leaped over two defenders to make the catch. Winston should have had two more long completions, but Evans was called for offensive pass interference for pushing off in both instances. This was the type of game fantasy owners expected to happen frequently from Winston entering 2017. He has a good matchup against the Panthers in Week 16.

Jameis Winston completed 26-of-38 passes for 285 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Bucs' 24-21, Week 14 loss to the Lions.

Winston's stats are bad, but he was worse. Basically any important play, he could be counted on to take a sack or commit a turnover. The turnover machine is now up to 53 in 42 career appearances. Winston couldn't make any big plays in a game that was highly winnable thanks to the Lions making miscues of their own. Winston has been just fine from a fantasy perspective over the past two weeks, but miserably failed the "eye test." The Falcons are a middle-of-the-road matchup for Week 15.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Jameis Winston's relationship with Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter is "not in a good place."

Per Rapsheet, Winston didn't feel the organization fully supported him throughout his shoulder injury and has also grown frustrated with the team's play-calling, feeling the offense has become too predictable. Coming off a franchise record 28 touchdown passes in 2016, Winston has taken a noticeable step back this year, averaging a career-low 243.3 passing yards per game while watching Tampa Bay fall out of the NFC playoff hunt. Koetter could be out of a job soon if the Bucs' struggles continue over the final month.

Jameis Winston completed 21-of-32 passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns in the Bucs' Week 13 loss to the Packers.

It was Winston's first game back after missing three with a throwing shoulder injury. He didn't challenge the Packers at all down the field and accumulated most of his yards with screens and check-downs. However, Winston's first touchdown was a nice throw and catch to Cameron Brate from 28 yards out down the seam, and the second was another red-zone hookup with Brate in the fourth quarter. In all, Winston didn't look very good, coupling bad decision-making with another turnover, a fumble that was returned for a touchdown. He now has 50 turnovers in 41 career games. Winston will be a QB2 next week at home versus Detroit.

Jameis Winston (shoulder) is active for Week 13 against the Packers.

Jameis Winston (shoulder) is questionable for Week 13 against the Packers.

Winston was a full participant at all three practices this week and is fully expected to start Sunday at Green Bay. Well-rested after taking three weeks off to heal his injured shoulder, Winston will be a borderline QB1 in a favorable matchup.

Coach Dirk Koetter said Jameis Winston (shoulder) will start Week 13 against the Packers.

Winston took the first-team reps at Wednesday's practice and is ready to return from this three-game absence. Winston is 20th in passer rating and has thrown just 10 touchdowns to six interceptions on the year. He's not an exciting play Sunday, even against a poor Packers secondary.

RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant: While certainly risky, Winston is an intriguing tournament option. His ownership should already be small due to the injury concerns and on top of that, the 44-point game total seems too low, which should also drive fantasy players off this matchup. Winston is averaging 7.4 yards per attempt this season and he's hit 328+ yards in four of his six full games while tossing multiple touchdowns in three of those outings. Meanwhile, the Packers are allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to QBs. At $5.6k on DK, he projects as our top points-per-dollar QB with 7.5% projected ownership.

The Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud reports Jameis Winston is expected to take all the first-team reps at Wednesday's practice and start Week 13 against the Packers.

Winston has missed the past three games but is on track to return for the final month of the season. It's bad timing for him to come back after losing starting C Ali Marpet and RT Demar Dotson to season-ending knee injuries last week. Winston will be a borderline QB1/2 at Lambeau Field Sunday.

Jameis Winston (shoulder) will resume throwing in Wednesday's practice.

Speaking after Winston got good news from his Monday MRI, coach Dirk Koetter made it sound like there's a strong chance Winston returns from his three-game absence against the Packers. That's provided there are no setbacks. Ryan Fitzpatrick has mostly struggled in Winston's absence. His return would be a boost for Mike Evans and company.

Bucs declared QB Jameis Winston, CB Vernon Hargreaves, DE Robert Ayers, OG Evan Smith, OT Leonard Wester, TE Luke Stocker and DT Sealver Siliga inactive for Week 12 against the Falcons.

NFL Network reported Sunday morning that Winston is "nearing" a return. He will undergo a Monday MRI to gauge his progress.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Jameis Winston (shoulder) is nearing a return.

Winston was given PRP injections two weeks ago, and Rapoport reports he is finally starting to see some progress from those injections. "He does have an MRI on Monday and the team is holding out hope before saying anything," Rapoport said. "But I am told he feels great, looks great, and his return is coming." Winston does not have a great schedule down the stretch, but he would get to face the Packers if he is able to get back on the field next week.

Bucs coach Dirk Koetter confirmed Monday that Jameis Winston (shoulder) is out for Week 12.

Winston has yet to be cleared to resume throwing. He will be re-evaluated next week. It's in line with what was expected. Winston seems unlikely to return before the start of the fantasy playoffs in Week 14.

The Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud said Jameis Winston will "most likely" miss "another week or two."

Stroud reports Winston will be re-evaluated today, but team doctors have yet to clear him to resume throwing. The Bucs gave a timeline of "at least" two weeks when they shut down Winston, and it always felt like two weeks was more hopeful than anything. Ryan Fitzpatrick will continue to start while Winston is sidelined.
