Donte Moncrief caught 4-of-6 targets for 26 yards and one touchdown in the Colts' Week 13 win over the Jets on Monday night.
He's now scored in all five games since returning from his shoulder blade injury. Moncrief hasn't been putting up the yards, but he's been a force to be reckoned with in the red zone. He hasn't topped 55 yards since Week 1, but Moncrief will be a touchdown-dependent WR2 next week against the Texans. Dec 5 - 11:47 PM

Donte Moncrief nabbed six-of-11 targets for 45 yards and a touchdown Thursday in the Colts' Week 12 loss to the Steelers.

Moncrief failed to impress despite earning a new season-high in targets. His only catch in the first half came on a five-yard touchdown pass from Scott Tolzien. Moncrief was more involved after T.Y. Hilton went down with a back injury, but still managed a long catch of only 12 yards. He also committed an ugly drop that would have set Indianapolis up with a first-and-goal in the third quarter. Moncrief has scored a touchdown in all four games since coming back from a shoulder injury but has averaged just 44.5 yards during that span. He’ll be in the WR3 discussion next week against the Jets, with potential to move up if Hilton can’t get the green light.
Nov 25 - 1:00 AM

Donte Moncrief (hamstring) is active for Week 12 against the Steelers.

So is Vontae Davis (ankle). Both were considered game-time decisions. Moncrief will be tough to trust with Scott Tolzien at quarterback while Davis will be playing at far less than 100 percent and could have a hard time containing Antonio Brown. OL Austin Blythe, OL Le'Raven Clark, S Clayton Geathers, DL Zach Kerr, LB Deon King, QB Andrew Luck and LB Curt Maggitt round out the Colts' Week 12 inactives.
Nov 24 - 8:25 PM

Donte Moncrief (hamstring) was added to the injury report Wednesday and is questionable for Thursday night against the Steelers.

Late-week additions to the injury report are never good. It suggests Moncrief pulled his hammy in Wednesday's light practice. Consider him a game-time decision for now. Even if he plays, he's hard to trust with Scott Tolzien at quarterback. If he sits, Phillip Dorsett would be the No. 2 receiver.
Nov 23 - 3:28 PM

Donte Moncrief caught 4-of-7 targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in Week 11 against the Titans.

The touchdown was Moncrief's only notable play. He's scored in three straight weeks since returning, but has been held under 60 yards in every game. Moncrief will be a WR2 for Thursday night's matchup with the Steelers.
Nov 20 - 5:30 PM

Donte Moncrief caught 3-of-6 targets for 55 yards and a touchdown Week 9 against the Packers.

All Moncrief does is score touchdowns, and he now has three in three full games this season. His score in this one was one to write home about as well, as Moncrief did a great job getting his feet in bounds on a back-shoulder throw at the goal line late in the first half. He also contributed a 39-yard catch down the sidelines on what proved to be an important touchdown drive in the fourth quarter. A threat to score every week in a high-powered offense, Moncrief will be a solid WR2 against the Titans after the bye.
Nov 6 - 8:03 PM

Donte Moncrief caught 4-of-9 targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Chiefs.

Moncrief was heavily involved with T.Y. Hilton limited with a hamstring injury. He led the Colts in targets and was left wide open for a 13-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Moncrief should have had a bigger game, but had a 40-yard touchdown called back. With Phillip Dorsett and Hilton banged up, Moncrief is a WR2 for Week 9 against the Packers.
Oct 30 - 5:09 PM

Donte Moncrief (shoulder) is active for Week 8 against Kansas City.

Moncrief hasn't played since Week 2, but should be a near-full-time player in his first game back. He's a WR3 play with T.Y. Hilton likely to see a lot of Marcus Peters. Phillip Dorsett (foot, hamstring) is also active and will play in three-wide sets. The Colts inactives are TE Dwayne Allen, OL Jack Mewhort, WR Chester Rogers, OT Le'Raven Clark, DE Kendall Langford, OLB Curt Maggitt, and DT Henry Anderson.
Oct 30 - 11:33 AM

Donte Moncrief (shoulder) is expected to return for Week 8 against Kansas City.

Moncrief was able to practice enough to get clearance for his return from a Week 2 shoulder blade fracture. Although it is good process to be skeptical of players coming off multi-week injuries, Moncrief has a strong matchup and should be a near-full-time player with Andrew Luck in a potentially high-scoring game. He's a WR3 play in Week 8 with rest-of-season WR2 upside.
Oct 28 - 1:17 PM

Donte Moncrief (shoulder) remained "limited" on Thursday.

Moncrief was spotted wearing a non-contract jersey, suggesting he's not a shoo-in to suit up for the first time since Week 2. We still expect Indy's No. 2 receiver to return, but have his lineup spot written in pencil, not pen.
Oct 27 - 4:14 PM

Donte Moncrief (shoulder) is wearing a non-contact jersey in Thursday's practice.

He wore the same jersey on Wednesday. Moncrief is still expected to play this week, but we would like to see him get in a full session Friday to feel confident. If he suits up, Moncrief will be an upside WR3 in a great matchup.
Oct 27 - 11:55 AM

Donte Moncrief (shoulder) returned to a limited practice Wednesday and is expected to play Week 8 against the Chiefs.

Moncrief said he'd be "surprised" if he doesn't play Sunday after breaking his shoulder blade in Week 2. It'll be a big boost to the offense, and certainly elevates Andrew Luck's status as an elite QB1 play at home in the dome. The Chiefs have struggled to get pressure, and Luck is coming off a monster Week 7. If Moncrief plays, he'll be an upside WR3 with big touchdown potential.
Oct 26 - 12:44 PM

Donte Moncrief (shoulder) is expected to practice Wednesday.

"Moncrief has a good chance to get back into the swing of things," coach Chuck Pagano said. "I think he will get on the field on Wednesday in a limited capacity." Even a limited practice that early in the week would give him a decent shot to play, and the Colts do not have the luxury of taking it slow with Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) and Dwayne Allen (ankle) nursing injuries, although Pagano did say Dorsett is "trending in the right direction." If he plays, Moncrief will be an upside WR3 against Kansas City.

Colts coach Chuck Pagano said Donte Moncrief (shoulder) is "getting closer."

Pagano wasn't ready to give a timetable for his return but at least Moncrief appears to be making progress. Aside from T.Y. Hilton, the Colts have gotten almost nothing out of their receiving corps this year. The Colts need Moncrief back and healthy as soon as possible.
Oct 17 - 5:45 PM

Colts coach Chuck Pagano said Monday that Donte Moncrief (shoulder) remains "week to week."

Pagano said Moncrief is "doing well," but didn't elaborate on a timetable. Fantasy owners in 12- and 14-team leagues should try to hang onto Moncrief as much as possible, but that may get more and more difficult as bye weeks set in. Pagano said on September 21 that Moncrief would miss 4-6 weeks.

RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant: Neither Phillip Dorsett or Chester Rogers has really stepped up in Moncrief's absence, but T.Y. Hilton has become even more reliable. He's one of two WRs (Jarvis Landry is the other) with at least ten targets in each game this season, and Hilton will face off with a vulnerable Bears secondary in Week 5. It certainly doesn't hurt that Hilton is also among the league leaders at the position in red-zone targets. Target him confidently in any format this weekend.
