The Jaguars' official website believes Donte Moncrief is penciled in as a starter.
Moncrief's fully guaranteed $9.6 million salary for 2018 suggested as much, but the Jags' receiver corps is crowded. Marqise Lee will start, while Keelan Cole was impressive as a rookie and D.J. Chark is a second-round investment. Second-year pro Dede Westbrook also flashed promise as a rookie. Moncrief was something of an underachiever with the Colts. He could leave the door open for competition in camp. May 21 - 3:07 PM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Donte Moncrief's one-year, $9.6 million contract with the Jaguars is fully guaranteed.

It is an impressive chunk of change for a player who has managed just 56 catches for 698 yards over 21 games the last two years. He will not be 25 until August, however, and has an impressive skill set. Jacksonville is clearly betting on Moncrief reaching his potential this season. Reading into contract information can be a bad idea, but this deal suggests the Jaguars plan for Moncrief to start.

Jaguars agreed to terms with WR Donte Moncrief, formerly of the Colts.

Even with Allen Robinson gone, Moncrief is joining a crowded receiver corps that now includes Marqise Lee, Keelan Cole, Allen Hurns and Dede Westrbook in addition to Moncrief. Perhaps Hurns is still a candidate for release. Of course, coming off back-to-back lost seasons, Moncrief is essentially a flier. Working in Moncrief's favor is his youth (25 in August) and still quite projectable skill-set. From a fantasy perspective, it's hard to see how Moncrief makes an impact in a run-first offense with Blake Bortles at quarterback.

According to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, the Ravens "remain focused on" free agent Donte Moncrief.

La Canfora mentioned in the same report that Baltimore is in the mix for fellow free agent Allen Robinson, but the Ravens may not have the cap space to get it done. GM Ozzie Newsome may have to dip into the second and third tiers of the free-agent receiver market in his effort to overhaul Joe Flacco's receiving corps. Moncrief may be best served by taking a one-year, prove-it deal.

The Indianapolis Star expects the Colts and free agent Donte Moncrief to "(part) ways for good."

A physical freak, Moncrief is still only 24. His inconsistency could at least partly be attributed to Andrew Luck's frequent absences in recent seasons. Moncrief has also dealt with injury issues of his own. He will be an interesting case on the open market.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport writes free agent Donte Moncrief and the Ravens is a "match that's worth watching."

Coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons, Moncrief is not going to command a big deal, but that could work to the Ravens' advantage. Desperate for receiving help and short on cap space, Baltimore should take a few high-upside fliers, and Moncrief certainly fits the bill. A one-year, prove-it deal could work for both sides.

Free agent Donte Moncrief may be open to a one-year contract with the Colts.

Moncrief’s down 2017 "frustrated many inside the organization," but he could be brought back on a prove-it deal. With Kamar Aiken also a free agent, the Colts have only Chester Rogers and K.J. Brent behind T.Y. Hilton. Although he boasts a starter's skill-set on paper, Moncrief is going to struggle for much guaranteed money this offseason. Returning to an Andrew Luck offense may be Moncrief’s best chance at reestablishing his value.

Colts declared WR Donte Moncrief, TE Jason Vander Laan, DT Johnathan Hankins, RT Denzelle Good, QB Brad Kaaya, OG Mark Glowinski, and DT Caraun Reid inactive for Week 17 against the Texans.

It was a year to forget for Moncrief, and it came at the worst possible time in a contract season. Moncrief appeared in 12 games, catching just 26 balls for 391 yards and two touchdowns. His 15.0 YPR average was a new career high, but he had zero games over 70 yards receiving and didn't find the end zone much after scoring 13 times from 2015-2016. Not having Andrew Luck obviously played a huge part in the down year. The 24-year-old former third-rounder has gobs of talent but has frustrated and disappeared at times. He may have to settle for a one-year, prove-it deal in free agency and likely won't be back with the Colts.

Donte Moncrief (ankle) is questionable for Week 17 against the Texans.

Moncrief has been out since Week 13, but he should return following three limited practices. A free agent after the season, this will likely be Moncrief's final game with the Colts.

The Indianapolis Star's Zak Keefer is "not sure" if Donte Moncrief (ankle) will play again this season.

Moncrief didn't practice this week and has already been ruled out for Saturday's game in Baltimore. With one game left, the Colts could just decide to put him on the shelf. A free agent after this season, it would be a fitting end to a Colts career which was derailed by injuries both to him and Andrew Luck.

Colts declared WR Donte Moncrief, C Ryan Kelly, CB Rashaan Melvin, CB Nate Hairston, TE Darrell Daniels, OT Tyreek Burwell and RB Matt Jones inactive for Week 15 against the Broncos.

Moncrief also missed Week 14. He has just 26 catches in what's been a lost season. The 2014 third-rounder is headed to free agency in the offseason.

Donte Moncrief (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 15 against the Broncos.

Coach Chuck Pagano did say the receiver should return next week. Ultimately, it does not matter much from a fantasy perspective. Chester Rogers will continue to work as the No. 2 receiver.
