Rams hired ex-UCLA OC Jedd Fisch as senior offensive assistant.
It sounds like a Jeff Fisher alias, but Fisch, 41, has plenty of NFL experience. He last worked in the league as the Jaguars' OC under failed coach Gus Bradley in 2013-2014 before heading back to college. Fisch will likely handle a lot of the duties left behind by QBs coach Greg Olson, who took the Raiders' OC gig. Jan 24 - 1:18 PM

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports ex-UCLA OC Jedd Fisch will be a top candidate to replace Falcons OC Steve Sarkisian if he leaves for the Seahawks.

Per La Canfora, "many expect" Sarkisian to be the Seahawks' next OC. Fisch was last in the NFL as the Jaguars' OC in 2013-2014 but was fired after two lackluster seasons. He's since worked with Jim Harbaugh at Michigan and Jim Mora at UCLA. Mora was fired this past season, leaving Fisch out of a job under new coach Chip Kelly. Fisch and Falcons coach Dan Quinn worked together in Seattle in 2010. It would be a very uninspiring hire for the Falcons' offense.

Ex-Jaguars OC Jedd Fisch has been named the University of Michigan's passing-game coordinator.

He'll also assume the titles of QBs coach and WRs coach on Jim Harbaugh's staff. Fisch was fired as the Jaguars' offensive coordinator after the season. In two years under Fisch, Jacksonville finished last in points scored and 31st in total yards. Prior to that, Fisch was the Miami Hurricanes' play-caller.

Jaguars fired OC Jedd Fisch.

Coach Gus Bradley brought in Fisch to run the offense when he got the job two seasons ago, and Fisch guided the Jaguars to back-to-back 31st-place finishes in yards. They were painful to watch on that side of the ball, even with a talent infusion at quarterback, running back, and receiver this season. Fisch may head back to the college ranks for the 2015 season. Blake Bortles will have to learn a second offense in his second NFL season. That's cause for concern regarding his ability to make a sophomore leap.
