Albert Wilson scored a 63-yard touchdown in Kansas City's Week 7 loss to the Raiders.
Wilson's score was one of only two targets on the evening. It was as fluky of a touchdown as you will ever see, as Raiders DB Keith McGill should have had an interception. Instead, the ball clanged off his hands right into Wilson's mitts, who promptly housed it for the score. With the Chiefs running low on healthy wideouts, Wilson could have some WR5 appeal in the season's second half. Oct 20 - 12:39 AM

Date:

Albert Wilson (knee) is active for Week 7 against the Raiders.

Wilson was trending toward not playing before being declared a game-time decision. He's evidently healthy enough to soak up snaps for the Chiefs' banged up receiver corps. Wilson is not an advised Week 7 fantasy option. Inactive for the Chiefs are RB Charcandrick West, OG Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, C Mitch Morse, QB Tyler Bray, LB Ramik Wilson, CB D.J. White and DL Roy Miller.

Albert Wilson (knee) is questionable for Week 7 against the Raiders.

Wilson missed Week 6 and didn't practice Monday or Tuesday before getting in a limited session Wednesday. He's likely to be a game-time call. Demarcus Robinson and De'Anthony Thomas filled in at receiver in Week 6.
Oct 18 - 12:35 PM

Albert Wilson (knee) missed Monday and Tuesday's practices.

Barring a surprise turnaround, he's going to miss Thursday's game against the Raiders, leaving the Chiefs extremely thin at receiver.
Oct 17 - 5:01 PM

Albert Wilson (knee) is inactive for Week 6 against the Steelers.

It is a bit of a surprise, but Wilson was added back to the injury report as questionable on Saturday. Perhaps he suffered a setback after limited practices on Thursday and Friday. With Chris Conley (Achilles') on injured reserve, the Chiefs are thin at receiver.
Oct 15 - 3:06 PM

Albert Wilson (knee) was removed from the Week 6 injury report.

Wilson only got in two limited practices, but will play Sunday against the Steelers. With Chris Conley out for the year, Wilson will take over opposite Tyreek Hill.
Oct 13 - 5:30 PM

Albert Wilson (knee) returned to practice Thursday.

Wilson sat out Wednesday's session, but this practice gives him a shot to suit up against the Steelers on Sunday. With Chris Conley out for the season, Wilson could see a few more targets come his way, but he is not a realistic option in shallow leagues.
Oct 12 - 1:07 PM

Albert Wilson (knee) is not practicing Wednesday.

With Chris Conley done for the year with a torn Achilles', Wilson is expected to have an expanded role. He may not be ready this week, which would leave Demarcus Robinson and De'Anthony Thomas as ancillary options.
Oct 11 - 12:55 PM

Albert Wilson left Week 5 against Houston with a leg injury.

He's listed as questionable to return. Wilson had just two catches for 18 yards before exiting.
Oct 8 - 11:02 PM

Albert Wilson grabbed three-of-four targets for 18 yards and a touchdown Sunday in the Chiefs’ Week 3 win over the Chargers.

Wilson chipped in with a six-yard touchdown midway through the first quarter. It was a well-designed play with Alex Smith faking a handoff to Tyreek Hill before flipping a shovel pass to Wilson for the score. The touchdown was Wilson’s first of the year and the fifth of his four-year career. Despite his success Sunday, Wilson has done little to warrant fantasy attention this year and won’t be a recommended option next week against the Redskins.
Sep 24 - 9:06 PM

Albert Wilson caught 5-of-5 targets for 37 yards in the Chiefs' Week 1 win over the Patriots.

Wilson was locked in as the Chiefs' No. 3 receiver. That won't be a profitable role in fantasy.
Sep 8 - 1:17 AM

Albert Wilson caught 1-of-3 targets for three yards in the Chiefs' third preseason game.

Wilson operated as the Chiefs' No. 3 receiver behind Tyreek Hill and Chris Conley, and figures to open the season there. Neither Demarcus Robinson nor rookie Jehu Chesson has put any heat on Wilson or Conley in three-wideout sets.
Aug 25 - 10:58 PM

Chiefs re-signed WR Albert Wilson to a one-year, $1.797 million contract.

A low-volume complementary receiver in Kansas City, Wilson managed a 31-279-2 stat line in 2016, averaging only 9.0 yards per catch. He's someone the Chiefs should be looking to upgrade on in this weekend's draft.
Apr 24 - 5:15 PM

Chiefs tendered restricted free agent Albert Wilson at the original-round level.

The tender will be worth $1.797 million. Originally an undrafted free agent, the Chiefs will get nothing in return if they decline to match an offer sheet, but it seems unlikely Wilson generates much interest. Wilson has 82 catches for 990 yards and four touchdowns in three seasons with the Chiefs.
Mar 9 - 11:42 AM

Albert Wilson caught 2-of-3 targets for three yards and one touchdown in the Chiefs' Divisional Round loss to the Steelers.

Wilson got the scoring started with a five-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter on a play-action rollout by Alex Smith. Wilson's other catch was a failed screen. The Chiefs' No. 4 receiver much of the year, Wilson finishes with 33 catches for 282 yards and three scores. He'll be a restricted free agent.
