Chiefs re-signed WR Albert Wilson to a one-year, $1.797 million contract.
A low-volume complementary receiver in Kansas City, Wilson managed a 31-279-2 stat line in 2016, averaging only 9.0 yards per catch. He's someone the Chiefs should be looking to upgrade on in this weekend's draft. Apr 24 - 5:15 PM

Chiefs tendered restricted free agent Albert Wilson at the original-round level.

The tender will be worth $1.797 million. Originally an undrafted free agent, the Chiefs will get nothing in return if they decline to match an offer sheet, but it seems unlikely Wilson generates much interest. Wilson has 82 catches for 990 yards and four touchdowns in three seasons with the Chiefs.

Albert Wilson caught 2-of-3 targets for three yards and one touchdown in the Chiefs' Divisional Round loss to the Steelers.

Wilson got the scoring started with a five-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter on a play-action rollout by Alex Smith. Wilson's other catch was a failed screen. The Chiefs' No. 4 receiver much of the year, Wilson finishes with 33 catches for 282 yards and three scores. He'll be a restricted free agent.

Albert Wilson caught 4-of-7 targets for 25 yards in the Chiefs' Week 10 win over the Panthers.

Wilson saw extended action on offense for the second week in a row with Jeremy Maclin (groin) out. Wilson could have had a lengthy catch on 3rd-and-3 in the first half, but he saw the safety coming his way and alligator-armed the pass. Wilson's seven targets were second-most on the team behind Tyreek Hill's 13. Wilson will be on the WR4 map next week against Tampa if Maclin sits.

Albert Wilson converted 1-of-4 targets for four yards Saturday against the Bears.

He added one yard on an end around early in the game. Wilson again worked behind Chris Conley in two-wide sets, and he did not help his case with a bad drop on a screen pass. He is unlikely to come into fantasy value this season.

Albert Wilson got the majority of slot reps at OTAs.

Wilson was an outside-only receiver his first two years. The Chiefs are moving him inside, with second-year WR Chris Conley getting reps opposite Jeremy Maclin. Conley is the pre-camp favorite for Kansas City’s No. 2 role.

Albert Wilson caught 5-of-11 targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' Divisional Round loss to the Patriots.

With Jeremy Maclin severely limited, Wilson nearly doubled his previous season high for looks (six). Hyped all offseason, Wilson ended up catching only 35 passes for 461 yards as a sophomore, but still made obvious strides on his rookie year. Wilson is most at home in the short-to-intermediate areas of the field, but can make plays deep. He shouldn't be the Chiefs' No. 2 receiver, but is worthy of being a top-four wideout.

Albert Wilson (hamstring) is questionable for the Divisional Round against the Patriots.

He'll likely play on Saturday after getting in two full practices Thursday and Friday following a limited session on Wednesday. If Jeremy Maclin (ankle) sits, Wilson could be in line for a couple more targets on the outside.

Albert Wilson caught 2-of-4 targets for nine yards in the Chiefs' Wild Card win over the Texans.

Wilson rushed two times for 11 yards. His day could have been much bigger, but Alex Smith badly overthrew Wilson on a would-be 58-yard touchdown in the first quarter after Wilson roasted rookie CB Kevin Johnson on a double-move to beat him by about five steps. Wilson may have to step up more in the Divisional Round with Jeremy Maclin leaving Saturday's Wild Card game early with a potentially-serious right knee injury.

Albert Wilson caught 3-of-4 targets for 34 yards in the Chiefs' Week 16 win over the Browns.

Wilson was targeted over the top on his lone misconnection from Alex Smith. The deep threat hasn't made much noise with long touchdowns this season and has settled in as a low-volume WR5 heading into Week 17 vs. Oakland.

Albert Wilson caught 4-of-4 targets for 27 yards in the Chiefs' Week 15 win over the Ravens.

None of Wilson's catches went for longer than 11 yards. As the No. 4 option in Kansas City's passing game behind Jeremy Maclin, Travis Kelce, and the running backs, Wilson is nothing more than a Dynasty league asset.

Albert Wilson caught 4-of-6 targets for 87 yards and one touchdown in the Chiefs' Week 14 win over the Chargers.

Wilson's 44-yard touchdown was the only end-zone visit between the two teams. With the Chargers playing Cover-0 with no safety help up top, Wilson roasted the cornerback in one-on-one coverage on a slant pattern and shot right upfield for the score. Wilson's big games are few and far between, and he'll be nothing more than a low-floor WR5 next week at Baltimore.

Albert Wilson snagged all four of his targets for a team-high 56 yards in the Chiefs' Week 11 win over the Chargers.

Wilson made a remarkable 27-yard catch with three defenders around him in the second quarter. He’s seen exactly four targets in each of his last three games. That doesn't leave him with much margin for error. Wilson will be off the fantasy radar next week against the Bills.

Albert Wilson caught 1-of-4 passes for 16 yards in Kansas City's Week 10 win over the Broncos.

One of Wilson's missed connections was a bad, bad drop in the end zone on what would have been a 25-yard touchdown. Wilson has no fantasy value in the Chiefs' vertically-challenged offense.
Sun, Nov 15, 2015 08:30:00 PM

Albert Wilson caught 3-of-4 targets for 12 yards Week 8 against the Lions.

Wilson played clearly ahead of Chris Conley, but he could not do much behind Travis Kelce, Jeremy Maclin, and Charcandrick West. The Chiefs were a three-player offense when Jamaal Charles was healthy, and it appears they plan to keep it that way with West as the lead back. Wilson is not an option in standard fantasy formats.
