Chiefs GM John Dorsey said it's uncertain if Albert Wilson can be a No. 2 wideout.
The Chiefs had a fifth-round grade on the 5'9/200 Wilson as he came out of Georgia State. They were able to scoop him as a UDFA and then watched him climb the depth chart steadily. Over the last four weeks of the season, Wilson caught 12 passes for 209 yards with no touchdowns. "I think what you do is you wait to get into training camp to make that determination," Dorsey said when asked about Wilson as a No. 2. "He's got a chance to be a pretty good player." Wilson will be a part of the Chiefs' plans in 2015, but they're not doing cartwheels over him. Jan 6 - 11:15 AM

Albert Wilson caught 5-of-7 targets for 87 yards in the Chiefs' Week 16 loss to the Steelers.

Wilson was a bright spot for the Chiefs on an otherwise bitterly-disappointing day. His 87 yards led the team, and give him 209 over his past three games. Wilson should have had a 65-yard touchdown in the third quarter, but Alex Smith overthrew him. An undrafted rookie out of Georgia State, Wilson has undoubtedly played his way into the Chiefs' 2015 plans.

Albert Wilson caught 3-of-5 targets for 69 yards Week 15 against the Raiders.

Wilson caught a 48-yard bomb from Alex Smith in the second quarter and showed sticky hands on a couple underneath throws. Wilson has shown well in two starts with Donnie Avery (groin) sidelined and could carve out a role as a slot receiver in Kansas City. He is a name to monitor in deep PPR Dynasty formats.

Chiefs signed Georgia State WR Albert Wilson.

Wilson (5-foot-9, 202) is a favorite in analytics projection formulas based on measurables similar to Randall Cobb and Kendall Wright. After posting a 71-1,177-16.6-8 stat line as a senior, Wilson ran 4.43 at the Combine, with a 37 1/2-inch vertical and explosive 10-foot-3 broad jump. A slot receiver who's built and plays like a running back, Wilson also has experience returning kicks and punts. He set Georgia State school records for receptions (175), receiving yards (3,190) and all-purpose touchdowns (26). He's someone to track in deep PPR Dynasty leagues.
