Albert Wilson caught 2-of-2 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' Week 3 win over the Raiders, adding a 52-yard touchdown pass.
For the passing touchdown, Wilson got the ball on a double reverse then delivered a perfect strike down the right sideline to Jakeem Grant. For the receiving, Wilson took a shovel pass from Ryan Tannehill, found the edge, hit the hole and exploded through the Raiders' entire defense for a 74-yard score. Electrifying stuff. Of course, Wilson has just eight grabs through three games. He will make big plays in the Dolphins' creative offense, but the road to re-draft value is too long and winding. Sep 23 - 6:43 PM

Date:

Albert Wilson caught 3-of-5 targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' Week 2 win over the Jets.

He beat Buster Skrine for a 29-yard score but was otherwise quiet. Operating as Miami's No. 3/4 receiver in a rotation with Danny Amendola, Kenny Stills, and Jakeem Grant, Wilson has drawn 4 and 5 targets through two weeks. The Dolphins' low-volume passing offense limits the upside of all its members. Wilson led the team in receiving yards with just 37 on Sunday.

Albert Wilson expects to be used all over the field, including at running back.

Unsure where to use Wilson, the Dolphins will apparently feature him everywhere. That includes both the boundary and the slot in addition to the backfield. According to reporter Barry Jackson, "several gimmicky, creative plays involving Wilson have netted substantial gains in practice." Wilson carried the ball 10 times in four years in Kansas City, turning one of them into a 55-yard touchdown. Despite, or perhaps because of, his varied role, Wilson is unlikely to come into fantasy value.
Aug 7 - 7:21 PM

Dolphins coach Adam Gase said the team is trying to find Albert Wilson's role.

This seems like something to figure out before handing someone a three-year, $24 million deal, but Wilson has been working behind DeVante Parker, Kenny Stills, and Danny Amendola so far in camp. Amendola's spot would seemingly be the best place for Wilson to earn snaps, but Gase said the two players play different positions. According to PFF, Wilson ran 58 percent of his routes from the slot last year in Kansas City. Unless something changes, Wilson is not worth a look in redraft leagues.
Jul 30 - 12:31 PM

Albert Wilson was a standout at Dolphins OTAs.

According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins have been impressed with Wilson's versatility and believe he's capable of lining up outside or in the backfield as well as the slot. "He’s really done a nice job the past two weeks," said WRs coach Ben Johnson. "His versatility is really, really showing up." Wilson has never been a big fantasy contributor but he'll have his best opportunity yet in Miami, where the Dolphins are looking to replace Jarvis Landry's league-high 112 catches.
Jun 1 - 1:57 PM

Dolphins signed WR Albert Wilson, formerly of the Chiefs, to a three-year, $24 million contract.

Miami was thought to be the "front-runner," and they got the deal done on Tuesday. Wilson broke out for 42 catches, 554 yards, and three scores as primarily a slot receiver for the Chiefs last season, a spot the Dolphins need help following the Jarvis Landry trade. Wilson is unlikely to see the same volume as Landry, but this is still a great landing spot for his fantasy prospects.
Mar 13 - 9:43 AM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Dolphins have emerged as the "front-runner" for free agent WR Albert Wilson.

Rapoport also reports the market is "hotter than expected" for Wilson, who set career-highs across the board with a 42-554-3 line in 2017. Wilson will be 25 in July and was quietly graded as Pro Football Focus' 24th-overall receiver last season. He would shore up a need for the Dolphins, who have already traded Jarvis Landry this offseason.
Mar 12 - 9:31 PM

Albert Wilson caught 2-of-4 targets for 26 yards in the Chiefs' Wild Card loss to the Titans.

Wilson set career highs across the board this season with a 42-554-3 line as the default No. 2 receiver after the offseason release of Jeremy Maclin. Wilson had a huge 10-147 day in Week 17 and will now head into free agency.
Jan 6 - 8:26 PM

Albert Wilson (hamstring) is active for Saturday's Wild Card Game against the Titans.

Wilson was never in danger of sitting despite being listed questionable. He'll start opposite Tyreek Hill and has a plus matchup coming off last week's 147-yard game. Kansas City's inactives are QB Tyler Bray, DL Rakeem Nunez-Roches, DL Stefan Charles, LB Ramik Wilson, RB C.J. Spiller, S Leon McQuay, and OL Parker Ehinger.
Jan 6 - 3:20 PM

Albert Wilson (questionable, hamstring) will play in Saturday's Wild Card Game against the Titans.

Wilson was absent to start the week but returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. Coming off a 147-yard game against Denver in Week 17, Wilson will carry some appeal as a cheap DFS streamer in what should be a favorable matchup.
Jan 4 - 2:15 PM

Albert Wilson (hamstring) was held out of Tuesday's practice.

Wilson had a career day in the Chiefs' Week 17 win over the Broncos, catching 10 passes for 147 yards. He was never announced with an injury. The Chiefs are likely just managing his practice reps on a short week.
Jan 2 - 5:48 PM

Albert Wilson caught 10-of-11 targets for 147 yards in the Chiefs' Week 17 win over the Broncos.

With the Chiefs resting their important starters, Wilson went off for career highs across the board. He was playing pitch-and-catch with No. 2 QB Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs' No. 2 wideout heads into the Wild Card Round with a career-high 554 yards on the season.

Albert Wilson caught 5-of-7 targets for 72 yards in the Chiefs' Week 14 win over the Raiders.

Wilson's highlight play was a sensational catch down the left sideline for a gain of 36. The Chiefs' lightly-used slot receiver remains a non-factor in fantasy, but Wilson can be a helpful asset to Kansas City's offense when he gets opportunities behind usage monsters Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill.
Sun, Dec 10, 2017 04:59:00 PM

Albert Wilson nabbed three-of-five targets for 27 yards Sunday in the Chiefs’ Week 13 loss to the Jets.

Wilson mostly took a backseat to Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, who combined for 279 yards and four touchdowns. Three of Wilson’s five targets came in the first half including an ugly drop on third down that stalled a drive in the second quarter. Wilson and the slumping Chiefs will head back home for a date with Oakland in Week 14 in what will be a must-win game for both teams.
Sun, Dec 3, 2017 06:08:00 PM

Albert Wilson (hamstring) is questionable for Week 13 against the Jets.

Wilson returned to a 3/36/1 line on seven targets last week. He remained limited in practice but will continue to play through his hamstring issues. Wilson has a low floor as the No. 3 option behind Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill.
