Free agent David Boston pleaded no contest Wednesday to a charge of reckless driving.

Boston was charged with DUI last August, but got away with the lesser misdemeanor. He got six months probation. Boston also was arrested in October following a domestic dispute. He's doubtful to return to the NFL.

Former Bucs and Dolphins WR David Boston was arrested on Saturday following a domestic dispute.

The charges include "felony false imprisonment for preventing his wife from calling 911" and "misdemeanor domestic battery". Boston was charged with a DUI in August and was released by the Bucs in September. It is hard to imagine him getting a shot with another any time soon, if ever.

Former Bucs WR David Boston pleaded not guilty to a DUI charge Thursday.

Boston, who was released eight days ago, is accused of driving while under the influence of GHB. It seems unlikely that he'll get another shot in the NFL.

Tampa Bay released WR David Boston after reaching an injury settlement Wednesday.

Good news for Maurice Stovall, Michael Clayton, and Ike Hilliard. The move comes a week after police said that tests revealed high levels of GHB in his system at the time of his late-August DUI arrest. Given his lack of recent production and off-field problems, this could be the end of the line for the former first-round pick. Return man Mark Jones was signed to take Boston's place on the roster.

David Boston was found to be under the influence of GHB when he fell asleep behind the wheel of his SUV in the middle of the street last month.

Gamma hydroxybutyrate is used as a sedative and for body building, and is also known as "liquid ecstasy," "soap," and "Georgia home boy." Boston will now go to trial on charges of misdemeanor driving under the influence.

David Boston, who is awaiting trial for pending charges of DUI, will travel with the Bucs to Seattle and play on Sunday.

On Thursday it was revealed his urinalysis test was positive for an unknown illegal substance. It's uncertain where Boston is on the depth chart currently. He could be as high as the third receiver or as low as fifth and deactivated on game day.

The Pinellas Park police department announced Thursday that DUI charges against Bucs WR David Boston will be pursued.

Police didn't release the results of Boston's urine sample (he passed his breathalyzer test), but it seems likely that the results came back positive for an illegal substance. Boston was found asleep at the wheel of his car in the middle of the street with the engine running on August 23.

The Tampa Tribune is reporting that the Buccaneers have conducted their own investigation into David Boston's arrest and are confident he is innocent of the charges he faces.

The details of Boston's arrest are strange. He was passed out at the wheel of his car, but his arrest video shows him volunteering to take a breathalyser and a blood test. It's never been clear what "substance" he is accused of being on. The Bucs are positive his urine test will come back negative, and if so, he seems set to make the team.

Despite being arrested for DUI on Thursday night, David Boston passed his breath test.

He also submitted a urine sample. Boston was woken in his car at an intersection in Tampa. He was reportedly moody, confused, and disoriented . Boston practiced on Friday and could play in the team's preseason game Saturday. If he tests positive for an illegal substance, Boston could face a four- to eight-game suspension.

Buccaneers WR David Boston was arrested for DUI on Thursday night.

Self-destruction defined. Boston has four catches in the NFL in the last four years and had worked his way back to a possible starting gig. We didn't think he'd stick as a starter over Maurice Stovall, but this torpedoes his chances. Considering his prior steriod suspension, and substance abuse issues, and the amazing details of the arrest at the link below, Boston will be at risk of a suspension and the Bucs may choose not to keep him. Michael Clayton may make the team yet.

David Boston has moved ahead of Maurice Stovall at flanker for Tampa Bay.

Boston has started two straight preseason games and Stovall fumbled inside the red zone last weekend. It seems as though Bucs coach Jon Gruden wants to give both a fair shake. "He's a magician," Gruden said of Stovall. "He disappeared on me for about 10 days. He's showing up again." The only certainty in this race is that Michael Clayton is not a part of it.
