Bruce Ellington hauled in 6-of-7 targets for 63 yards in the Texans' Week 11 win over the Cardinals.
Ellington did not do much of anything until late in the second quarter, but he came up with three catches including a 25-yarder to put Houston in position for a field goal before the half, and he made another big catch to convert a third down in the fourth quarter. It was not a huge day, but fantasy players who took a shot on Ellington will take the PPR points. Even if Will Fuller (ribs) is out again next week, Ellington is unlikely to have as much success against the Ravens. Nov 19 - 5:14 PM

Texans coach Bill O'Brien expects Bruce Ellington to take on a bigger role against the Cardinals in Week 11.

He'll need to with Will Fuller (cracked ribs) sidelined. "Other guys are going to have to step up," said O'Brien. "Bruce is running good routes. Bruce needs to get the ball more. Bruce Ellington, he’s doing some really good things out there." Ellington turned a season-high nine targets into four catches for 41 yards and a touchdown in last week's loss to the Rams. With Patrick Peterson a candidate to shadow DeAndre Hopkins, Ellington could be in play as a flex option in fantasy leagues this week.
Nov 15 - 5:41 PM

Coach Bill O'Brien said Wednesday that Bruce Ellington "needs to get the ball more."

Ellington has seen eight targets each of the past two games and 20 total since the Week 7 bye. With Will Fuller (ribs) expected to miss Week 11 against Arizona and DeAndre Hopkins doing battle with Patrick Peterson, Ellington could be in line for a big day. He's worth adding and starting as a WR3/FLEX this week.
Nov 15 - 3:35 PM

Bruce Ellington hauled in 4-of-8 targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in the Texans' Week 10 loss to the Rams.

Ellington got open for what should have been a long catch early in the game, but he just could not come up with the deep pass. He made up for it in the second quarter, getting open for a 26-yard touchdown, and he was a bigger part of the offense the rest of the way with Will Fuller sidelined. That said, Ellington will not be worth a look in most fantasy leagues even if Fuller ends up missing time.
Nov 12 - 7:54 PM

Bruce Ellington caught 2-of-3 passes for 30 yards in Week 5 against the Chiefs.

Ellington was the No. 3 receiver with Braxton Miller a healthy inactive. He isn't more than an afterthought in a pass offense that runs through DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller. Ellington shouldn't see more than a few targets against the Browns in Week 6.
Oct 9 - 1:03 AM

Texans WR Bruce Ellington caught 3-of-4 targets for 44 yards in Sunday's Week 4 win over the Titans.

He added a 13-yard rush. Ellington has officially taken over as the Texans' slot receiver between DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller, bypassing Braxton Miller on the depth chart. Ellington has big-play ability and may pop up for a few big plays over the course of the season, but he's little more than a deep-league and/or Dynasty stash.
Oct 1 - 4:27 PM

Bruce Ellington hauled in 4-of-7 targets for 59 yards and a touchdown in the Texans' Week 3 loss to the Patriots.

Ellington ran a nice route on his touchdown and managed to come down with the catch between two defensive backs. He also finished second on the team with seven targets. Despite the good game, it is tough to get excited about any pass catcher not name DeAndre Hopkins, especially with Will Fuller on the way back.
Sep 24 - 6:17 PM

Bruce Ellington has cleared the league's concussion protocol.

He'll be back this week after missing Week 2. Ellington will fight for targets behind DeAndre Hopkins but isn't a reliable fantasy option for Week 3.
Sep 20 - 3:37 PM

Bruce Ellington (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 2.

He's one of five Texans who suffered Week 1 concussions. None will play Thursday night. It'll be Braxton Miller and Jaelen Strong behind DeAndre Hopkins.
Sep 13 - 1:45 PM

Texans WR Bruce Ellington was concussed in Week 1.

He was catch-less on two targets before departing Sunday's game.
Sep 10 - 3:44 PM

Texans WR Bruce Ellington "appears destined to survive" final cuts.

Ellington has flashed since signing with the Texans three weeks ago. Getting playing time with the first-team due to injuries, Ellington has eight catches for 122 yards through two preseason games. He appears to be competing with Dres Anderson for a roster spot, although injuries and Jaelen Strong's one-game suspension could allow both to stick.
Aug 31 - 9:18 AM

Bruce Ellington caught 4-of-5 targets for 29 yards in the Texans' third preseason game.

With DeAndre Hopkins (hand), Will Fuller (collarbone), and Braxton Miller (ankle) sidelined, Ellington has taken advantage the last two weeks, totaling eight catches for 122 yards. He has likely earned a roster spot, and he could have an early-season role with Fuller sidelined at least the first month.
Aug 26 - 11:21 PM

Texans WR Bruce Ellington caught 4-of-5 targets for 93 yards in Saturday night's preseason game.

Ellington was signed off the street eight days ago. The former 49ers fourth-round pick got the surprise start against the Patriots and ripped off repeated big plays, most notably a 37-yard deep ball from Tom Savage and a 33-yard catch-and-run from Deshaun Watson. Ellington is a fringe NFL player at this point, but the Texans do have some complementary receiver opportunity with Will Fuller (collarbone) in danger of missing half of the season.
Aug 19 - 11:35 PM

Texans signed WR Bruce Ellington.

It's been a busy month for Ellington, who was waived last week after spending roughly 24 hours on the Jets. That came after New York claimed him off waivers from San Francisco. The Texans are thin at receiver with Will Fuller (collarbone) and Braxton Miller (undisclosed) both sidelined. Even if he makes the team, Ellington will remain well off the fantasy radar.
Aug 11 - 4:48 PM

Jets waived WR Bruce Ellington with a failed physical designation.

Ellington isn't fully recovered from his 2016 hamstring injury. He drew interest from multiple teams on waivers and should resurface when healthy.
